If you need a quite, peace, meaningful ambient for your holiday, you are preferable to choose this accommodation. However, if you like crowded and shopping area, therefore Alishan is not a suitable place. you gotta heading to Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaoshiung, etc. Bed room in Mimiyo is clean, toiletries is provided, the view from bathroom is nice. since there is... Up a winding dirt road that is exquisitely impassable for hoards of travelers who have descended upon the island, standing over acres of tea fields, there is a large stone which signifies the end of the road. Way across the valley one can almost make out termite-sized buses carrying tourists to and from the National Park at Alishan, but from... More

If you're looking for some peace and quiet, Mimiyo is the place for you. No TV or wifi but a great place to read and just relax. Ruby and her hubby were very kind to us, inviting us to their home for lunch one afternoon. Breakfast each morning was substantial and sumptuous. A word of warning though - the drive... More

It was a long ride to Mimiyo (around 2.5/3 hours) from the Chiayi HSR. For those going up the mountains for the first time, you may find the roads slightly scary and at times, the windy roads too giddy. But when you get there, you will find that it is worth it. The room itself is rather basic. There is... More

Mimiyo is located in alisan, away from the crowded touristy spots. Here, you are able to enjoy the beautiful view of alisan and serenity. The owners are friendly and very helpful and the place feels like home. I was there in dec and nights were very cold. Would be good if there is heater in the room, though not very... More

Mimiyo in Daban village is located away from the famous Alishan God Trees area: because of this, there still remains full of original wild nature of the mountain in Taiwan. I visited with my friends for the first time. We enjoyed the wildness of the area. Also the tea time surrounding Japanese stile fire place with friends and Ruby after... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Climbing up the lovely Alishan mountain range brings you to a serene guest hideaway---Mimiyo Bed and Breakfast. You step into a mountain top garden that contains two ponds filled with water hyacinths, water lilies, tadpoles, small fish, and a buzzing array of dragonflies and butterflies. Your walk also takes in a natural large rock garden, with small shade trees perched at just the right places. This setting introduces Mimiyo’s tranquil guest lodgings and the dining hall that will make your stay in Alishan so comfortable. The guest house has seven rooms, all simply but finely furnished with some pieces made by the owner’s hand---bedside tables, bookshelves and vanity tables are made from wood gathered in the area,so everything feel right in place. The bathrooms are completely modern with feature tile that feels like stone and a big window facing the mountain view. Each room is well ventilated by mountain breezes, and has a private sitting balcony space looking over mountain gardens and fields. The dining hall is spacious, and has floor to ceiling windows on three sides,so you feel like you are eating outdoors. There is a large square fire pit adjacent to the dining area where we’ll light a fire after dinner to brew tea . We are capable of helping you partake in any activity you would like to do,whether it is discovering a hiking trail, making your way through the indigenous villages,or finding a quiet place to read a book. ... more   less
