Well House is a beautiful renovated farm house in a small village in Shropshire. I had previously met one of the owners, Di, while I was travelling in Uganda and she gave me her business card and I am really glad I kept it as she & Patrick made my parents and I very welcome and were very helpful and...

Our first encounter with the narrow streets of Shropshire led us to Chapel Lawn. Perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing week-end. The house was stunning and the hosts very welcoming, we couldn't ask more. We were there for a cycling sportive and the nice breakfasts cooked by Patrick surely helped on the they of the ride. Overall...

Lovely place, lovely people, we spent a weekend in Shropshire in wet & wild weather and were welcomed with a blazing log burner, cream scones, a beautiful cat, a lovely room. Couldn't be better. Di and Patrick have struck exactly the right balance with a place to stay which is friendly but relaxed, quietly efficient but unpretentious. All in the...

My wife and I are Norwegian, and enthusiasts about travelling around in Britain. We always stay at B+B's, that, besides giving good value for money, always gives us a sense of staying in a home, which we appreciate. We especially enjoyed staying at Di and Patrick's Well House in the hamlet of Chapel Lawn, near Bucknell. You could not find...

We (two couples) stayed at Well House for the weekend of the Clun Green Man Festival. We visit the area a few times each year but hadn't stayed here before. If you like quiet, beautiful, rolling countryside, and are looking for a charming, comfortable, spacious, characterful B&B I can confidently guarantee you won't find a better one. The standard of...

Set admist the rolling green hills, dotted with sheep and stone walls, it truely is a wonderful place to experience another side of England. We were totally welcomed by Di and Patrick, who are both the perfect hosts. Patricks is very knowledgeable of the local area and...

This really is a hidden valley, we could not have asked for a more tranquil setting with breathtaking scenery of the local countryside .The room was spacious and clean and we were well looked after by our hosts Dianne & Patrick. Lovely garden to sit and relax. A hearty breakfast was the perfect start to one of the many walks...

My wife and I spent a weekend with friends at the Well House. The house and the countryside around it are exactly what we'd hoped for - beautiful, charming, and completely comfortable. The hosts, Di and Patrick, welcomed us in upon arrival and happily helped us navigate the area. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms are large...

This review is a little biased as Well House is my partners old family home, however we have to say its stunning! Di couldn't have made us more welcome and it really felt as if we had come home. The village of Chapel Lawn is peaceful and beautiful, the views of Carracticus (sp) are wonderful and once all the work...

We found Well House by chance on the internet and after a series of wonderful emails - booked to stay for a weekend. Well House hides itself in the delightful village of Chapell Lawn, off the beaten track and is perfect for rest and relaxation. Di & Patrick Cosgrove are a delightful couple and made us and our son feel very...
