The hotel reception and bar area lacked warmth and soul... bar staff slow, often absent and took an age to top up a pint of Guinness. The golf course, despite the relatively dry weather in the west of Ireland for two weeks before our visit, was a bog in parts. Lots of unfinished drainage work is ongoing and many of...

My husband and I visited Castle Dargan for 2 nights B&B. We were allocated in apartments just next to the main building; ground floor with the view for the car park where anyone passing can clearly see what your doing- not a nice feeling. As a former employee of Radisson Blu 4* I have to said that I have never...

Visited for a short break and stayed in the Walled Garden apartments. The setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning and the location was so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were friendly and efficient and very helpful. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was cooked to order and was delicious both days. Plenty of choice on the continental buffet...

We stayed one night for a wedding over Christmas. Most of the other guests at the wedding we attended stayed 2-3 nights When we arrived we couldn't check in until after 3 and were told we could change in the spa but we went to family members in the apartments. Wedding was great and the food was excellent but we...

We've stayed here before in one of the walled garden apartments and this time in one of the double rooms in the main hotel complex. This time we got a great B and B rate of 40 Euro a night per person midweek by booking direct with the hotel. Great room, comfy beds, excellent facilities and tremendous customer service as...

We stayed in one of the adjoining apartments, 2 adults 3 kids, midweek. The apartment was spacious, clean and well furnished. Breakfast each morning was delicious with good choice. There could be a slight delay in getting seated but with a lovely relaxing reception area, it feels worth waiting for. The Kids loved the homemade pancakes and the adults loved...

We were here for a wedding and we had a fantastic day! Unfortunately our rooms were not ready when we arrived but we were able to use the facilities of the golf club to get ready at. Everything was close by as we stayed in the accommodation attached to the hotel which was a two second walk from the reception....

Castledargan is located about 10km or 15 minutes drive from the centre of Sligo. While it is close to the village of Ballygawley it is also near Collooney. It is a really nice location for people looking for peace and quiet away from busy centres. It has a beautiful golf course on the grounds and there is a spa available....

Answer - when you book at Castle Dargan! We were extremely disappointed with the so called suite we had booked at the hotel, what we actually got was a double room with two chairs, this is not a suite. We specifically booked direct with the hotel and have been very disappointed with the response we have received. The staff overall...

Just spent two wonderful nights here with my wife. This is the second time we have stayed and once again it more than lived up expectations. We had a very refreshing and relaxing time. This was very much due to the ambience of the hotel, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food was also excellent. We will certainly...
