The hotel is located in the center of the new part of town with a number of bars and restaurants within walking distance. As a single guest, I had a double room with a balcony and a good sized bathroom, though for 2 people it might be a little tight. The room was very clean and although aging, it was well maintained. Breakfast was very good, though with CoVid restrictions a little inconvenient. The hostess was very helpful in every respect. Going out of her way to help each guest like they were family. If she did not have information about a trail or mountain hut she would call somebody to get the info. Wifi was good. I found the price of the room a little expensive considering the hotel has no facilities and parking was very tight, but it seems to be on par with other nearby hotels. Compared to other hotels in the area, I would return to stay there again

3 stars in a very central position, a stone's throw from the main church of the town and with easy access to the cycle path. We appreciated the convenience of being able to use the parking reserved for hotel guests.
Our room, on the second and top floor, was accessed by climbing four flights of stairs (the hotel does not have a lift) but this should not be a problem for those who decide to stay in the mountains in the summer. We found it clean but not spacious, also due to the presence of a third bed which we did not use. Opening and closing the Velux blind is a little awkward.
The bathroom was divided between a rather small shower/toilet area with a decidedly uncomfortable "mini shower" and a much larger sink area with a mirror positioned too low, unusable by customers of medium-high height.
In my opinion, breakfast could be improved, making it more varied and providing the possibility of having a cappuccino prepared at the bar. The dinners are much better, always varied and of excellent quality. The only note is the extras, perhaps a little too expensive, in particular the house wine in a carafe.

We spent 7 nights from the 4th of February this year. Weather was very cold those days, even 15-20 degrees below zero. We got two rooms on the second floor, one of them on the corner of the house. As soon as we entered the rooms I asked the owner Mrs. Sandra to put more heating as temperature in the room was not warm enough for two children of 2 and 4 year old.The owner said she could not do anything. We also asked quilts but she said she has not got any.
We spent awake that night beacuse even with 3 blankets we were cold. One of my daughters got cough and the other cystitis. Next day we told to the owner we were so much cold. She offered to us the possibility of changing rooms. We accepted the new rooms. In the evening before going to bed I asked some hot water for my sick children for an infusion (I had bought the infusion in the pharmacy). The owner put the hot water on the bill like infusion. Unfortunately situation was the same in the new rooms too. We decided with my husband to buy an electric heater. After half an hour we had it in the room of my children the owner came and said to take it away as it was against the rules. I said as she could not resolve our problem I had to do it as my children are already sick. She threatened me to call the police.
And she did.
I had to argue with policemen in a hotel I payed to get a temperature we are not freezing! Policmen discovered that the owner did not heat during the night from 10 pm to 3 am while outside there were 15-20 degrees below zero. It was also mortifying when other guests came in the corridor and the owner asked them in our presence if they were cold or not. They were not and they laughed at us. At the end policemen asked the owner to give us at least quilts. Next day she gave them to us.
In the playing room for children it was freezing, never any child was playing there.
The owner said the temperature she had in the hotel is perfect for italians.
We spent a week there trying to forget our first 2 days but sincerely it was not possible. We do not reccomend this place if you are looking for a sincere, human, familiar ambience. This was not at all that.
We have to say though that the food prepared by the son was very good and sufficent.

Response from ronSappada, Proprietario at Albergo Venezia
Responded May 14, 2012
Following the review that appeared on Trip Advisor we would like to clarify some misunderstandings: during the stay of the guests at our hotel the country was very cold, but the temperature in the rooms was 21 degrees. The lady was dissatisfied even after being moved to another room; she bought an electric heater, strictly prohibited by national fire regulations. After having said repeatedly, with great kindness, that the heater was forbidden, we were forced to call the police to protect the safety of our guests. We are very sorry for the bad review even because at the end of the stay all the problem with the guests seemed to be solved.
