Looking for a bit of variety when travelling on business I stayed at the Wayside for a pair of nights. I had high hopes and even those were surpassed. The location is stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, warm, beautifully decorated and highly relaxing. I eat in both nights and both dinners and breakfasts were delicious and filling. It is...

It is always nice to hear when our guests enjoy their stay and think the area is as beautiful as we do, next time you stay maybe you could climb Black Combe and enjoy the fantastic views you can see from the top. Thankyou for taking the time to post a review.

Great place. The room was beautiful and the food was really good too. The views are spectacular and there is an outdoor seating area to enjoy them from. The owner was very pleasant and made my breakfast 45 mins earlier than the given time so I could be in work on time. Hope to stay again

An absolute gem. We stayed in the annex with our dog Molly and it was just perfect. Beautiful and luxurious room and bathroom for us and a safe space for Molly to wander around. The hospitality we received made us feel like we were friends not just guests. We had breakfast and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed them. Tony was in...

Had a very comfortable two nights in this delightful family run business. The food was superb and nothing was any bother. The setting is wonderful and will be great in the summer. Plan to return later in the year and I might even buy some more whisky. Thanks for looking after me and my colleague.

Cameron is a fountain of knowledge and the range of whiskies was amazing due to the independence of Cadenhead. A wide range from 7 to 36 years old, normal strength to Cask strength and a wide variety of tastes and flavours with 6 on offer. One of the best so far and hopefully Cameron will return for Christmas .... Christmas...

I was recently here for a week. Brilliant hosts and lovely room. Ate there every night and can't praise the food enough. Next time I would indulge in the extensive selection of whisky there. I would definitely go back and stay here for a break.

We had a really lovely weekend away, we'd book the annexe part of the hotel to stay in, which looks amazing in the pictures and totally lives up and exceeds your expectations. Its beautifully decorated, well looked after and spotlessly clean. The bed is amazing and so so comfy, exactly what you want after a long walk. It also has...
