A year has passed and we were back in room 2- only complaints from us and our family next door the rooms were so hot at night which although it was a welcome change from the May cold weather sleeping was very difficult. The food was delicious and the Moules were magnifique. Lucky enough to get a glorious daybreak through...

Can only give the highest recommendation for The Mistley Thorn, a spacious, well appointed room overlooking the estuary, although it is on the road it is double glazed and there was hardly any traffic overnight. Very large, very comfortable bed, good quality tea and biscuits and a large bathroom with a large bath, everything was exceptionally clean. We ate in...

Spacious and thoughtfully appointed room with fine view of the swan filled estuary. The hotel is on the road but double glazed and my friend and I enjoyed a peaceful night. DInner menu was inviting and all the dishes were flavoursome and well presented. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice including kippers, fresh ripe pineapple and American style pancakes with...

Rooms just need a little TLC in places but are big and comfy - with great views and a big tub! Food was excellent - very...

Great rooms, relaxed service and a really nice location. The staff are low key but attentive. Restaurant has a nice brassiere atmosphere, food lovely...should be high up your list if in this area. Car parking a bit tricky but plenty of room on surrounding streets

Thsi place is a rare but very welcome find. Largely unassuming from the outside it looks just every other English pub. On the inside however you are welcomed by not a pub but a tastefully decorated restaurant. They pride themselves on its varied menu proudly supporting other local businesses to supply them with best quality meats and fish. Portion sizes...

Went for a walk past the Adams Towers into town had lunch great service good atmosphere really young vibrant smiling staff despite the place being packed.
