We only stayed one night (passing through after a Finca stay) in a private room. The price was good but yikes... There were so many ants in the room by the bed. Personally, I hate ants and couldn't sleep because it felt like they were crawling on me. It was also too warm in the room because the fan was...

The dorm was huge, cramped & incredibly hot so we opted for the reasonably priced private rooms which were much better. The staff were very friendly & we had a good dinner in the restaurant. They have strict rules about quiet times & security won't allow things to get rowdy, but they will let you buy some snacks to eat...

Very nice setup - courtyard, walls all colourful, also in rooms. Dorm awful beds, so took private room. Just check out the room available, before you check in. Depending on which room no airflow, meaning hot at night. Wifi working fine. Staff some nice, others weird. You can books tours yourself with local guide, price in hostal not necessarily better....

Stayed in a private room with bathroom which was ok but the bathroom was pretty dirty. Hostel has a good bar and sociable atmosphere. Staff weren't that helpful. Wifi doesn't work in rooms. Volcano tour organised by hostel wasn't very well organised and our guide was terrible. The $7.50 lunch the hostel packed for us was very expensive and disgusting!...

It's a hostel, centrally located, seems to be the hangout for backpackers and locals alike. The ambiance was chill, but lively & active. At anytime, you could go to the main lounge / bar and start a conversation. The room was beautiful, but lacked any airflow. The hot weather made it difficult to stay in except during the night. The...

I already knew I was gonna like this hostel when I saw some pictures of it! The big basketlamps with its colourful bands around and the paintings etc. It only costs 6$/night in the dorm which is really cheap. (If you are travelling on very low budget you can also sleep in a hammock or camp and pay I think...

rooms: ok, you get what you expect for 6$ facilities: lovely furnished, clean and nice food & drinks: really good and fresh volcano tour: 20$ with 2 guides (group of 9 people), was really exciting but exhausting! you really NEED a guide! especially from the viewpoint to the top, really steep, slippery & foggy! our lunch packet for 7.50$ was...

Stayed one night. Mainly I wanted to say that something unfortunate happened to me while here. I spoke with the owner and she was fantastic. Went out of her way for me and ensured that I felt good about the end result. Thank you for that as it was proving to be a tough week

We stayed here for only 1 night even though we planned for 4. We expected fairly minimal accommodations given that this is a backpacker hostel, but even our low expectations weren't met. Our room was filthy and the sheets barely covered a gross mattress. The ceiling seemed to be falling apart, and the air conditioning was more helpful to cancel...

Stayed here for 1 night, great place with a really good feel and reasonably priced. Rooms were clean, food was good and locals come to the bar at night which makes a really good change. The whole place is really well done and the vibe is perfect. Only bad thing I could say is they need to make the cocktails...

We are a Backpacker-friendly hostel with Bar and Restaurant. Our goal is to provide a great service and friendly environment to everyone who enters Hospedaje Central. To accomplish that::: We have hand-crafted our restaurant's menu, offering a broad range of delicious dishes - from local cuisine to global classics; you're bound to find something you enjoy. (People love our Batidos[smoothies] too):: Our Bar is stocked with the best local liquors and a variety of world favorites as well. If you're not feeling the high-end alcohol, we also have a nice selection of "Cheap and Dirty" brews that won't be too heavy on your wallet. There are also delicious mixed drinks available for those who want to try out the local fruit concoctions. And of course, great music. Whichever type of fun you want, we can help you get there.:: If you aren't into eating, or drinking, we enjoy helping our guests plan their adventures. We have great contacts around the island to help you get what you want. Whether its traveling and making new reservations on Maderas, organizing transport, renting motorcycles or horses, simply giving directions to great beach locations or helping you Trek-Up-The-Ultimate-Volcano: Conception - We can take care of it for you.:: And most of all, if you're just into relaxing, we built an entire hostel around that concept. We have great sitting areas throughout the area, a nice garden under the sun, a reading friendly courtyard, lots of hammocks to swing in, private rooms for secluded time, and dorm rooms for the fun and friendly types. We filled the walls with paintings and culture for you to look at when you don't have a good book, and we're building a small library for you to find that good book afterwards. Overall, its a great place to hang out, people tell us all the time, and we're happy to provide this atmosphere for those who seek it.:: And for those who live on the cloud, we also have THE INTERNET. (free wifi included) We hope this helps you. Enjoy Nicaragua!-Team Hospedaje Central(El Indio Viejo) P.S. If you're not staying with us, at least stop by and say Hello, we enjoy conversation, it's a good way to learn something new! ... more   less
