My husband a and I stayed at Wonderland to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Karalene during our stay. I cannot express enough how exceptional the experience was. From the moment we arrived, Karalene greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, making us feel like family. Her attention to detail was impeccable—whether it was ensuring our room was perfect, cooking AMAZING meals, or anticipating our needs before we even had to ask, Karlene went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Every interaction felt special, and her ability to make us feel at ease and cared for added immeasurably to the enjoyment of our stay.

I was fortunate enough to experience the trip of a lifetime with 16 of my friends at Sugar Hill located at The Tryall Club in Montego Bay. First, we were greeted by truly the most amazing staff, people, friends, who eventually felt like family. The estate was the most beautiful place any of us had stayed. All 8 couples had their own bedroom and bathroom and the main areas accommodated our very loud, energetic crew. The place was immaculate in every sense of the word. Onto the beautiful people that helped us make our stay unforgettable.... Marica was our Head of Staff and Chef but most importantly someone who loves what she does and the people she does it with. Her food was incredible, from breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and dessert. There wasn't anything we weren't raving about! The pumpkin soup, chicken wings, blueberry muffins, coconut rice, pork & jerk chicken just to name a few. Kirk was everywhere you wanted him to be and we ALWAYS wanted him around. His demeanor was so calm and helpful throughout the entire day. Kirk had to make a lot of drink runs for this crew and he always had a smile on his face. Beverly gave the best hugs! She made us laugh and had the best dance moves. She has energy unlike anyone and we thank her for keeping our clothes clean on a daily basis. Lastly, Tash, Bowen and Radcliff who kept the entire estate in pristine condition both inside and out! This was an experience our group will never forget and thank you to the staff at Sugar Hill it will be VERY hard to top this one!

My husband and I stayed at Bee Happy with our three kids (baby, 3 year old, 5 year old) and absolutely loved our experience.
Paulette was fantastic. You could tell with anything she did, she paid very close attention to detail, wanting our stay to be as good as possible. She took care with our meals (which not only tasted wonderful but also were presented in a way that showed her love for hosting), our laundry, and keeping our space tidy (which is a big job with 3 kids!). My husband's birthday landed on this trip and Paulette cooked a homemade cake at her home for him and found "40" candles to top. Her energy was very light and she was a pleasure to be around. My 5 year old son wanted to help her with cooking, cleaning, setting the table, laundry, etc. and she welcomed his involvement and was so sweet with our other two. She truly made the trip a vacation for us and we loved getting to know her.
The villa itself is in a very convenient location and is very well kept by Paulette. The big patio and plunge pool were a big plus. During our stay in July, it was very hot but the breeze on the porch made it feel nice and refreshing for the most part. There were a couple issues with the water turning off during our stay and Paulette made sure the problem was resolved quickly.

Particular staff member was very abrasive with the children in the party.
Female staff member was on the villa supplied iPad talking with friends for the duration of our stay.
The Chef was miserable and I frequently overheard him complaining that it's "never-ending".
The female member went on vacation during our trip & was replaced by a male staff from an adjoining villa. This male staffmember was awesome. Our entire party so a shift in attitude when he came onboard. Attentive to all our needs and the kids loved him. Can't say the same for the original staff.
We stocked the house with food items that were hoarded in the kitchen and not served to us during our stay. I made a point to request all unused items from the kitchen on our departure.
The tennis courts require full white attire & our party was told to buy white clothing from the pro shop. When we balked at the prices we were told that we're "white people" and "we can afford it". Totally unacceptable behaviour from a staff member.
The villa came with three branded golf carts, but the staff switched out one of the branded carts for their use and gave us their older non-branded cart instead.
On the last day of our stay one of the staff approached and said he was "reminding" us of their tip. Can you imagine?
The suggested gratuity would have been $3000 for the week. We were prepared to give the staff $4000, but only gave the $3000 due to their impertinence. We did tip the replacement male staff member who went above & beyond separately.

Very Disappointing as I said the Villa was not in good shape and should have been taken out of the inventory until the new owner could make improvements. Gardening staff was constantly in the area of the pool and garden even after I stated several times I did not want staff hanging around when we were at the pool. There were termite feces on my clothes on the shelves in the bathroom facilities were right next to the kitchen so you could hear the staff and they could hear you termites were falling on the bed I couldn't sleep. House keeper did the best she could and made special effort. She is lovely but her quarters were disgraceful and she had no uniform. Chef was amazing and excellent food. Yard staff should not be in the living room or verandah when guest are present it made me and everyone uncomfortable. Great House meal was embarrassing bad both our seating after booking so far in advance and making it known it was a special occasion.

Our stay at Tryall and Villa Amana was nothing short of spectacular. We were celebrating my 70th birthday with family, including grandchildren aged 1 to 11, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. The 8-bedroom villa was perfect for our large group, offering ample space and beautifully appointed bedrooms. Each room provided a sense of privacy and luxury, making everyone feel comfortable and pampered. The service at Tryall was outstanding. Marland, the general manager, was wonderful and made sure that every member of our group was well taken care of. His attentiveness and dedication to our comfort were evident throughout our stay. Devon, our cook, was a true gem. He spoiled both the adults and children with his wonderful Jamaican cuisine. Each meal was a delight, showcasing the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Jamaica. Devon’s dishes were a highlight of our stay, and he ensured that every meal was a memorable experience. The convenience of having golf carts at our disposal was fantastic. Whether we wanted to head to the beach or the golf course, the golf carts got us there quickly and easily. The facilities at Tryall are top-notch, and the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome at every turn.
Our stay at Tryall and Villa Amana was truly memorable. Celebrating my milestone birthday with family in such a beautiful and accommodating setting was an experience we will cherish forever. From the wonderful service to the delicious food and the beautiful surroundings, everything was perfect. Have you ever arrived to your destination and immediately felt like you were home? That’s what it was like to arrive and stay at Sugar Hill. When you arrive to Sugar Hill, you are warmly greeted by the wonderful staff who will make your stay most memorable. The 8 bedroom Villa, each with its own bathroom, has stunning views, is impeccably maintained with the most beautiful landscaping. Being part of The Tryall Club, golf, tennis, Pickleball and many other activities are at your fingertips, although relaxing poolside at Sugar Hill was all we needed. Marica, the leader and chef of the amazing staff, prepared the most delicious meals, always with a smile, welcoming you into her kitchen, sharing her skills and secrets. Kirk, our butler, so kind, catered to every detail including table settings for our celebrations. The linens, towels, sheets and even our clothing were laundered by Beverly with love, you could tell when someone enjoys their job. Tash, kept Sugar Hill spotless and our room immaculate. We had 2 celebrations while visiting and she decorated the rooms so beautifully. Radcliff blew up rafts, surprised us with fresh coconuts and along with Bowen kept the grounds impeccable. our family of 4 went to Jamaica for the first time this summer. Tryall is a great family place made unique by the quality of the staff. The moment we walked into our villa, Bye The Way, we were greeted with open arms - literally - by Nisha Nugent, our chef, laundress, house manager. Her contagious smile and gentle, kind, helpful nature made our family feel right at home. She prepared the most beautiful breakfast daily including cucumber ginger water and lemongrass tea. The level of care and attention to detail was beyond expectation. She went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed. She even cured my husband's cold with her special remedy. Dinners included jerk chicken, grilled shrimp and fish escoviche with jasmine rice and grilled zucchini. Bye The Way is a beautiful villa with all the amenities we needed and beyond. Nisha took care of our laundry daily and anything else we needed. I would highly recommend this villa because Nisha will make sure you enjoy your stay!

We stayed at the Sunset Villa, 5 bedroom (all water facing, 5 bathroom spacious rooms. The views are spectacular and the villa was laid out very well for our family. The staff was very accommodating and the food prepared by chef Melva was very good. We have been to Jamaica several times before and Tryall Club is quite expensive in comparison to other luxury home rentals that we have done, and we rented during the low season which was at a discounted rate. The villay is very. nice (albeit a bit dated), we felt safe and had a great resort beach/pool area with a nice bar overlooking the beach. The golf carts were a big help as the property is very large, though the villa is close to the resort beach/bar/restaurant area (short walk if you were not taking the golf cart).
Since this is primarily a golf club, the fact that we did not go golfing probably is why the villa seemed so expensive. The resort was desolate when we were there, very few villas were rented as September is apparently their slowest month and reserved for repairs. The villa right next door to us which was 1 bedroom smaller, was less than 1/2 the price (Sunrise), which we found more than a little surprising.
The resort beach and pool were very nice, the bartenders were wonderful and they have a nightly drink special (1/2 price cocktails, starting at 5 I believe). The resort has a small store for purchasing beach items down by the resort beach. Up the hill at the main house, there is a small grocery store that you can buy additional items other than what you have listed on your provisions list. Note, the groceries are very expensive. We stuck with fresh fish, locally caught daily and brought to the villa for the most part.
The high tea that they referenced on their website was disappointing, likely because it was low season. It was nothing like pictured on the website, though I suspect when they are busier they have a lot more to select from.
We had a private dinner (pre reserved) in the gazebo, it was expensive, but stunning. If you want to splurge on something, this is the thing to splurge on. We had a wonderful evening.
The resort staff arranged our transportation to swim with the dolphins, trip to Chukka and our groundskeeper took us on a. stunning hike one afternoon.
We estimated $500 per person (based on feedback from prior guests) for food for 7 days, which was very close to what we spent. This did not include alcohol,

We just returned from one week at the Tryall Club in the Sunrise Villa. Sunrise has 4 bedrooms, but we used just 3 of the 4 bedrooms for our adult children, my wife, and me. We had 5 staff members: Marcia (cook and head of household), butler, housekeeper, laundress and gardener. The service was exceptional from the entire team. Marcia's cooking was extraordinary and included a variety of food options. We have one vegetarian in our family who Marcia gladly accommodated with some of the best vegetarian meals we have ever seen. You can walk right into the Caribbean Sea from the backyard of Sunrise. The water has a sandy bottom all the way out to the depth where you can no longer stand. The Reggae Night at the Great House was exceptional including both the food and the entertainment - don't miss this special evening. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with unparalleled service from a team of true professionals, take a look at the Tryall Club and, in particular, the Sunrise Villa. You will not be disappointed.

Gratuity during winter season is normally 10% of the villa rate for the week, distributed amongst staff depending on function. For F&B, budget $60-70US per adult per day, $30-40US per child, per day.
That does not include alcohol. Nothing really saved purchasing it yourself, unless you duty free-it down on your flight, then you are saving some.
Tryall is gorgeous, it's my goto the past several years. If you choose it, you'll have a great time.
There are more places to choose from in the Sandy Bay area.
