We really enjoyed our stay at De Old drift guest farm for two nights in the Roof Cottage. It was very clean and cozy. The service was very friendly and the breaktfast was awesome (especially the omlette and the fresh fruit salad). Unfortunately the weather was too cold to swim in the very clean and large pool. :-) And the... More

At the end of a dirt road, 20 minutes driving from the Addo main rest camp, is De Old Drift Guest Farm. An oasis to relax, walk through the citrus farm or enjoy some time at the pool. The self catering cottages are beautiful, very clean, nice bathroom and good beds. It is a wonderful place to visit with friendly... More

We stayed at the Old Drift guest farm from 2 -7 July. The grounds and gardens are well kept , and the units are very neat, clean and well equipped-even electric blankets in winter! The guest farm is child friendly with open spaces for kids to play. The hosts and staff are friendly and helpful and we felt welcome and... More

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing 2 night stay at De Old Drift. The B&B rooms are very spacious and equipped with many thoughtful touches such as tissues, an alarm clock and Mantelli biscuits. The beds are comfortable and the linen luxurious. The gardens are beautiful and the staff are excellent. We chose to have dinner on both evenings and were not... More

The staff walked the extra mile to especially bake a lovely lemon vanilla cake for my husband on his birthday. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating and even switched on the hot aircon heater and our beds' electric blankets so that the cottage would be nice and warm for us every evening upon returning from the Kirkwood festival late... Nice place to stay at. Perhaps a bit over priced but I am sure this was as a result of the Kirkwood Fees. But I will definitely recommend the Guest Farm to friends and family. Will again stay there next year.

Our family went to the Kirkwood game festival and stayed over at De Old Drift. The owner and Nandipha and staff were most helpful with everything. They even surprised my husband with a lovely birthday cake baked by their own chef. Upon returning from the festival late at night we found our unit with aircon heater switched on and electric... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
COME AND RELAX IN OUR TRANQUIL ENVIRONMENT, WITH ONLY SOUNDS OF NATURE AT YOUR DOORSTEP... De Old Drift Guest Farm, a short distance from the little village of Addo in South Africa’s malaria-free Eastern Cape province and only 15min drive from the renowned Addo Elephant National Park, with its big Seven, and numerous other species. De Old Drift is a working citrus farm, one of the smallest but most peaceful farms in the area. Take a tour through the orchards and venture down to The Sundays river, only a short 2km away, where Njala, Kudu’s and Rooibok can be seen on the ridge of the mountain. Relax around the pool after a long day at the Elephant Park, or take a walk through the garden and orchards, when the trees are in blossom, the smell of citrus permeates the air. Enjoy our refreshing breakfast in our thatched roof lapa overlooking the garden and swimming pool area. Adventure, fun and games await children, where Pumba (Labrador), Timone (Jack Russel) and Mufasa (Bullmastiff) love to make new friends and play... a little paradise for all children. Your hosts Neels, Juanita and Steffi, will make sure that your stay will be one to remember. ... more   less
