A perfect place to stay, friendly staff, luxurious rooms with great views and a lovely breakfast. My two nights were the best nights sleep I've had in ages and such good value for money i would definitely book again.

Just back from a three night stay while we did some walking in this north eastern part of the Lake District. We arrived quite a bit earlier than our planned time and asked if we could park our car there while we had a wander round the village. No problem, in fact Angela (the B&B host) said our room was...

Excellent, both Angela and David met us when we arrived and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the guest house and all it had to offer. The room was cosy, modern and clean. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Heidi and Barry.

We stayed Sunday night 29th January. Angela and David both welcomed us - very attentive, rooms very well appointed, comfortable beds and bedding (quilts), and absolutely everything as far as facilities were concerned. There was an ironing board and iron, and electric car charging points to name but two of the lesser expected items we tend to find at B...

Well we are very pleased with that, thank you for taking the time to write it. The Iron is quite popular but the car charger has been in place for 3 years now and never used - maybe one day. Thanks again. We look forward to your next visit at some point in the future

Couldn't have asked for a better stay here - Angela and David were perfect hosts, with everything carefully thought out and homely. Lovely refreshments including pieces of cake and flapjack were a great surprise when we returned to our room after some hefty walking! Great breakfast and chats/ advice about walks in the area, and our walking boots and coats...

We returned to Pooley Bridge wondering how they had survived the floods and were very happy to find that despite a difficult year, Ullswater GH remains a top class B&B. I was a pleasure to stay again for 3 nights. The welcome was great, breakfast lovely and a very pleasant stay.

Stayed here for one night in October 2016 with my adult son in twin room #2. We arrived earlier than expected but were still welcomed for check in. The room was spotless and well appointed, the generous jar of shorties was especially welcome after a long drive. Information was given regarding local amenities such the local pubs and shops. Fantastic B&B. Immaculate, centrally heated rooms, beautifully cooked breakfasts with fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals. David and Angela are excellent hosts with good local knowledge. Pooley Bridge is a lovely village with plenty of eating places. Bistro 1863 is particularly good.
