Furneaux was our favourite stop on the Queen Charlotte. A very cosy atmosphere over the whole place, friendly staff and really nice accommodation. Dinner and breakfast by the fire in the pub was a nice touch. Beautiful views to boot.
This was night 1 of our trip. The accommodation unit we had (unit 10) was either reasonably new or refurbished. We were at end of season (Autumn) and found the in-room heating a bit light but plenty of blankets. Poor design of bathroom (water everywhere)...More

Great views as we left the track. A wonderful well maintained lodge in the sounds. Friendly staff, food was okay. little bit pricey. Overall experience was good. Nice wasy walk to Mahana lodge after a big hill at ships cove.
