We came from Iowa and I was interested in that area and History. I am glad we did as it was beautiful. Catherin and Gary? Were nice and made a very good breakfast for us. The Hillsboro café was awesome too. Check it out. It really was the best sleep I had in awhile.

There's not much going on in Kingston, NM, unless you are at the Black Range Lodge. There are chickens in the yard, a warm cozy fire in the stove in the entry room and good smells coming from the kitchen. Guests dine together and makes for great conversation since everyone has such interesting stories and come from all walks and...

Thanks for your kind comments about the Lodge! We love hosting music, and this summer are planning some campfire sing-alongs, and Saturday night concerts at our new outdoor Pavilion. We'll be posting the schedule on our Black Range Lodge Facebook page. Hope to see you there!

We visited Black Range Lodge three years ago and longed to return - this time we brought friends with us to enjoy the unusual beauty of the surrounding area. Catherine and Gary were so gracious and accomodating! We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor areas as well as the living areas inside. The relaxed atmosphere added to our enjoyment....

I spent two nights at the Black Range Lodge in April and can honestly say that it was the best place I stayed at during my month long road trip. Catherine and Gary were fantastic hosts. Both were very friendly and helpful, and just a pleasure to get to know. The lodge itself is one of a few buildings located...

Before committing to stay at the Lodge, I communicated with Catherine about our needs and the purpose of our visit. She was quick to respond and very knowledgeable about what we could see and do while in the area. We decided to spend a night at the Lodge while on a photo shoot in the area. We were warmly greeted...

Thanks for your very kind and informative review! The spontaneous "potluck" dinner was the highlight of our day... we so enjoyed breaking bread together with all of you fun-loving folks! And we look forward to the next time!

Late afternoon started off with a dip in the hot tub which is artfully surrounded by local juniper planks for privacy. The lodge is rustic and homey. We were the only two guests the night we were there and we had the run of the place. There are so many nice spaces within the lodge for relaxing, a swing out...

I was looking for a perspective altering place for my first vacation in years, and i found it in the Black Range Lodge and N.M. The region is full of vitality, with its hot springs, history, ghost towns, and gay guys making things nice and classy. there is a wonderful dynamic between the young and old. (i'm in the middle)....

Hi Chris, thanks sooo much for your glowing review, and sorry for my slow response, as I was traveling myself, having my own perspective altering trip to New Zealand... it was a great trip, and now it's great to be home again in the Black Range. Our spring has been lovely, things are greening up, and almost all the fruit...

A hidden gem next to the Gila Wilderness area. This Bed & Breakfast was way more than I expected. Part of the building dates from the 1880´s. and the building is well cared for. Clean rooms, great breakfast and nicest staff. We are going to plan a return trip as soon as we can. The Acoustic Music Camp event next...

What an amazing time we had. Did so much in the short amount of time. Hiked, star gazing, piano playing, pool, ping pong, scrabble, even got to tour the bookmobile that was stopping by while we were there. We brought in the fixings for a lovely steak dinner to celebrate my MIL's 70th birthday. Ended the evening with a short...

“We stayed in room #6, which had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the mountains to the west, but we didn't spend too much time on the balcony so next time we will probably opt for a room without to save a few dollars. Each room looked comfortable, I suggest asking for a suggestion when you stay to meet your needs.”
