My partner and I stayed for a weekend in the small apartment fronting the beach road - five steps from the beach - our friends visited for a day and we all liked it so much we booked the larger cottage for a group stay a couple of weekends later. Great location, historic fishermen's cottages lovingly maintained in their original... More

We spent 7 nights at Cholson Chalet and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The accommodations are quaint, charming and comfortable....and serve as a perfect setting in this quiet fishing village. You can get the feel of the entire town while sitting out on the balcony and watching the activities unfold during the day. We had an upper unit with ocean view,... More

We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments downstairs. Pretty and spacious apartment right at the waterfront. Very good beds and well equipped kitchen. Like mentioned by reviewers before: do bring earplugs cause there is a lot of noise from the street! Despite the streetnoise defjnately recommended!

Spent 10 nights in the top floor apartment with balcony directly on man o war beach. The apartment is charming and has a lovely homely feel. One double bedroom at the front overlooking the sea, and a twin behind. There is a small kitchen with microwave, fridge freezer, cooker but unless you have transport or stop off en route to... More

My first thought when I walked in to the 1st floor apartment was "wow"! I couldn't get over how lovely and charming it was. It took a minute to realise we had the whole 3 bedroom place to ourselves. The view over the bay is amazing, its literally 3 short steps from the beach. The place reminds me of an... More

If you are looking for moments of peaceful solitude whilst enjoying the sound and smell of the sea then you should be headed to this beautiful accommodation. The friendliness of the staff is apparent from the word go. Naomi was cleaning upstairs, but on sseing my vehicle stop in front of the property, she ran down to meet me and... More

We had a great stay at the chalets. Charlotteville is small and walkable and the various markets provided everything we needed. There is even an ATM in the village, it is selective in the cards that it takes but it is great to have access to cash as no one takes credit cards. The fishermen come in a few meters... More

Our family stayed in the upstairs chalet on the beachfront and loved the balcony, sunsets, beautiful design which maximised air-flow, and lovely staff - Pat and Salome. Chalotteville is a terrific fishing village but takes a while for new visitors to get used to eg which places are open and when they do food. we stayed a week, made many... More

If you love the sea in all its different moods, and a quiet holiday to get-away-from-it-all, this is the place for you. The accommodation is nice but an investment in air-conditioning would enhance the stay. The large glass windows stretching all the way across the gallery are beyond compare and allow a beautiful sea-view and mountains even from the kitchen.... More

We really enjoyed our four-night stay here with our two-year-old daughter. We stayed in a small apartment with a patio right on the tiny road across from the water. The "beach" right there is pebbly and small, but we took a nice evening dip there; other times, we went in either direction to great spots for swimming, seashells and lounging.... More
