The Laurels is a beautiful B&B set in a perfect location for trips to Alton Towers. We stayed in a spacious family room for 4 which was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, as was the whole guest house. We all thoroughly enjoyed our delicious breakfast with choice of cereal and fruit juice before tucking in to our very generous cooked...

Many thanks for your review. You seem to have identified the best reasons for staying at The Laurels. Perfect location, spotlessly clean and delicious breakfast!! :-) It's a shame about our local food pubs closing down, but we do still have some great places to eat less than a mile away. Warm welcome and made us feel at ease. Happily shared local information to take the stress out of finding travel and food. The room was comfortable, quiet and at breakfast they were versatile with food options. We were visiting Alton Towers and (if you didn't want to worry about resort parking) the location was perfect for 10 minute bus, 5...

Thank you for sharing your comments. We're so happy you had a great stay, although we probably wouldn't recommend walking to Alton Towers from here. It may only be a mile or so, but it's all up hill and there's no pavement :-( The best thing to do is take the bus, or just jump in the car :-) Regards...

Our two night stay was fantastic. Great location for our visit to Alton Towers, which is 5 minutes away by car. Our room was very clean and comfortable for the four of us. Nothing was to much trouble, especially when it came to refreezing our ice packs. The full English breakfast is delicious, and staying here is highly recommended!!

Thanks for your feedback. We're so lucky to be in a fabulous location, overlooking the Churnet Valley AND being close to Alton Towers and the Peak District. We always ensure our guests have nice large towels in their rooms and will always top up tea and coffee if needed. Regards Phil and Helen

Thanks for your kind comments. Our Four Poster isn't our biggest room, but it has a lovely feel and has great views down the valley, as you say. We really appreciate you recommending us to your friends :-) Regards Phil and Helen

Lovely house in a lovely location. We were made to feel so welcome. The rooms were lovely clean and cosy with a real homely feel. It's very close to Alton towers theme park ( about a mile but you need a car). There are some shops a few miles away in the town. Would stay here again.

Hi Claire. Thanks for your feedback and telling us how much you enjoyed your stay with us. The new bookable bus service from The Laurels to Alton Towers seems to have gone down really well with our guests. Unfortunately it only runs until 4th September, but is fabulous value for money at only £1 return, with under 4s free of...

Wonderful B+B. Host made us feel very welcome. Room was very clean. Friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. Coffee was particularly good. We stayed for three nights as we were visiting Alton Towers which is five minutes drive away from the Laurels. Will definitely be booking again for our yearly Alton Towers visit. Highly recommended
