Hotel is easy to find, right on the side of the highway going into Manning. The hotel has a resteraunt, pub, and liquor store attached-service and food in the resteraunt was great, however in the pub it was much different..servers could hardly speak english, and took far too long to acknowledge customers.
Check in was moderatly easy, rooms were easy enough to find, but price was too high for the condition of the rooms.

When an extra hour makes a difference on the way north or on the way back, Manning is handy as a place to stay. Manning Motor Inn is handily located on the highway and near the small central part of Manning. A double nonsmoking room on the ground floor was over $100 and quite basic, prices having not seemed to come down despite the oil crash. Room seemed musty as if converted from previously being a smoking room. The motel has a bar and dreakfast room.

Rooms are basic but clean. Beds are hard and the pillows outdo them. A/C and heat rather noisy, but work well. WiFi works well, but no place to plug in cell phone and laptop without unplugging something else. Friendly staff, efficient front desk and excellent cleaners. Restaurant serves Stodge - good stodge, but still stodge; fruit is virtually unknown and it's high-carb, high-grease across the board. Lots of hot water and a modernized shower/tub, but take scissors to open tear-packs of (surprisingly good) shampoo as the other option is to get a mouthful trying to tear it open with your teeth. Also take your own handsoap as theirs is curiously unable to lather. Reasonable amount of free parking. Seems to be under renovation. Bottom line: It's a small-town motel in northern Alberta. Passable accommodation, but about $10 too dear for what it provides.

I had a room booked for a week for work. I was in there for a night, on the second night I figured I'd check the bedding and behind the beds as I usually do in hotel rooms. So sick the pictures will say the rest. I booked out that same night never to stay there again..

As the shadows slide past the bottom of the room door their foot falls creek loudly warning of their coming and going, ALL NIGHT long. It was really hard to get to sleep with the creaky floors and the freight train of a heater. The smoke detector hanging from the ceiling (disconnect I presumed) was confirmation of the underlying problems of the building.

Upon the initial call from the airport, the staff could not help us locate transport to the inn.

I have to say that the beds were very good along with the pillows. But unless it is the only place left in a storm will I not stay here again.

Easy to find location. Rooms were old and worn. Food was very good from the attached restaurant, and the price was fairly reasonable. Can hear all noise in hallway and attached rooms. Okay for a quick stop over, but that is it.

This motel is easy enough to find and frankly wouldn't be that bad of a place to stay (for a night) if it weren't for the extremely rude front desk check clerk. She treated the check procedure and every simple hotel related question as a massive inconvenience to her time. Stunningly rude sums it up pretty well. Keep moving to the next hotel unless you enjoy being scolded at.
