A quick break to celebrate a 60th birthday. The Vidago Palace Hotel was a perfect choice, the food excellent, the staff professional, friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is set in some lovely grounds with some good walking to be had. Our room was spacious, the bathroom sumptuous and bed supremely comfortable. True turn of the 20th century opulence that...

Fantastic historical hotel, with all necessary amanitas and a high level of comfort. Staff is highly professional and friendly. The surrounding park and landscape is very beautiful. It's highly recommended a visit to both the SPA and the Restaurant.

The hotel has lots of charming places. The Rui Paula restaurant is a MUST. Wine list is amazing and very diverse. Breakfast just seems everything is home made by a granny Take a few minutes and get to the primary fountain of Vidago sparkling water.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful building, stunningly and sumptuously decorated. Staff cannot do enough for you. Lovely spa facilities and fabulous food and wine. Go if you get the chance but may need a car if you want to venture further afield. We were happy to spend 3 days making the most of the hotel facilities and grounds. Go if you can...

I discovered this gem of a hotel a few years ago as a LHW member and now eagerly plan visits as the midpoint of my over-land journeys when vacationing on Portugal's Atlantic Coast. Steeped in the history of the final days of th country's nobility, there is good reason why the building seems to be an immaculately preserved relic from...

We spent a week at this hotel in October 2016 on a half board package. We were in a classic room which is the cheapest but was still a good size with ample storage and a lovely view out to the front of the hotel. Breakfasts were good although the hot food was a little uninspired but was more than...
