Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Duja Didim hotel is celebrated for its impeccable cleanliness, with guests consistently lauding the spotless rooms and well-maintained grounds. The service quality, however, receives mixed reviews: many guests encounter attentive staff, while others describe service as slow and unprofessional. Travelers enjoy the range of amenities, particularly the food options and beach access, yet some feel the additional costs diminish the hotel's value. The rooms generally earn praise for their cleanliness and views, although a few guests find the village rooms lacking in size. While the tranquil atmosphere is appreciated by guests seeking calm, others wish for livelier entertainment options. The location's seclusion divides opinion, with its scenic beachfront charm appreciated by many, despite its isolation from other amenities.

We have stayed here 1 week. Our holiday has been amazing. Accommodation was clean. Stunning views across the sea. There is the aqua park, water sports, and entertainment. We have relaxed around the pool. Food has been lovely and lots of it. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

We went to this great hotel 5/10 for 10 days , and can honestly say we loved it from the minute we stepped through the doors in reception, we were greeted by friendly faces , nothing was to much trouble to all staff we dealt with . Our room in the hotel was great and big , the view was breathtaking, room was cleaned thoroughly every day and fresh bedding, towels and fridge restocked all free of charge . Cleaner was a lovely lady and very respectful. It was our wedding anniversary while there 43years , management put a bottle of wine and lots of fruit in the room and the maid made our bed special with flowers also .Avery special touch . Grounds were very clean and always seen workers cleaning throughout the day . Food was plentiful, a lot wasn’t the usual English food , but hey we were in Turkey and always found something to eat . Snack bar was lovely chicken , wraps , chips , pizzas made to order , burgers.
Lots of sun beds even on beach and jetty’s. Mel the English rep for the hotel was great always a smiling happy girl an asset to the hotel . Entertainment was ok , perhaps but more English music and live acts go down well .
We are definitely going back next year , hopefully twice , thank you to all staff and management for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed as a group of 8, all in our 60’s for 12 days. The rooms in the main hotel overlooking the sea were stunning, towels changed everyday and spotless. The hotel itself was beautiful however the food wasn’t. In the main the hot food was at best warm and more often than not cold especially at breakfast where the only English food was fried or scrambled eggs and beans. There were lots of different foods as the hotel mainly catered for Turks & Eastern Europeans which is fine but if they do want to attract the Brits then the food will have to improve. The hotel is very far out but a dolmus from the end of the road takes you into Altinkum for about 75p! The hotel does have its own beach area which is pebbly but very nice. The entertainment at night was dire and aimed at the Turks so we avoided and stayed in the bar area. It also has its own water park which is great for the kids. There is a beach bar just 2 mins walk away called Al Dente where we went a few times, full English breakfast and English tea for about £6 and the beers is very cheap, they also have all the sports channels, highly recommended. All in all we had a lovely holiday but would I go again probably not, don’t let my review put you off as it is a lovely hotel just a bit far out for us.

We arrived 9th oct 2023. Given a apartment with a sea view room 3106 . The room is very spacious for a couple. Late night bar is 24 hours. Food is for the German/Russian guests as food is based on them chips for breakfast and beans.. eggs are done poached on toast with a slice of ham and cheese, boiled or occasionally fried. No traditional bacon or sausage. for breakfast.
The meals thru the day are very much aimed at the European clientelle.
If you use the Seaview restaurant in the afternoon you can get excellent homemade pizza, fried chichen ,kebab wraps etc. But beware the Russians love to take everything ,put it on their plates and never eat it. Such a waste.the hotel should address this.
Entertainment is subject to weather due to outside arena, but is great when available.
Beach next to hotel has a lovely lagoon with still water and you can wade out quite far from the.beach activities available at a cost.
The staff work extremely hard all thru the day and night.
Overall to get more British clientelle they should cater more food for them as at present food is minimum for English.
Late checkout is €15 per hour from 12 to a maximum of 5 hours so take that on board if you have a late flight.
Altinkum is a short taxi away @ 250TL about £7.30. Loads of shops but barter your heart out. Polo shirts they try selling at £15 but I got for about £6.50. Be prepared to walk away . They will call you back but stick to your guns they will either except or you move on to another shop. The night market is good for clothes but in my opinion avoid the Saturday Market they pester you and won't take no for a answer, also give you mixed sizes ,tie the bag then you find out too late you've been had.
The reason bay has a lovely garden to sit in at night and if your lucky you get to see the resident hedgehogs that pop out.

Overall we had a good stay at Duja.

We had a room in the main building that was a good size for the 3 of us and plenty of storage space. Our son had a chair bed to start with that was broken, requested a replacement which was also broken. A new folding bed was then brought to the room so I can’t fault that when I notified the staff that action was taken.

Room was cleaned daily and fridge re stocked. Clean towels daily but I don’t believe bedding was changed and I did have to ring down for toilet roll.

I found all the staff around the hotel hard working and pleasant.

The main dining hall is huge and very busy. However the food is ok and we found something to eat the nights we stayed in the hotel. We used the Italian A la carte and didn’t think much of the main courses.

The snack bar opened 12-4:30pm and midnight till 7am and served a range of food. Burgers, chips, wraps, fried chicken, pasta, salad and fruit.

The entertainment was where this hotel was let down, maybe one pool game on a morning. Main pool is too deep for kids to join water polo so it’s adults only. The evening entertainment schedule changed frequently and was poor.

If you want a bec round the main pool you will have to be down early. However there are plenty of beds around the hotel as there is the 2 beaches and the jetty.

On our last day we had a late flight and didn’t keep the room on. There is a luggage room and facilities to have a shower and change.

The Good;
Our room itself was very nice. It was on the 7th floor so we had excellent views across the bay area.

The Waffle/Pancake van, Starbuck coffee shop and Seaside kebab hut were all really good additions and served good quality products.

The Aqua Park had some excellent slides, but please also read the end of this review for further details about safety.

The Bad;
The transfer to the hotel was nearly 2 hours by coach from Bodrum airport.

The standard of food in the main restaurant was poor and the service wasn't great at all with to many unsupervised staff and plates being left piled on vacated tables far to long. It was sometimes impossible to find clean cutlery and the food options themsleves were very limited with little change day to day.

The main pool areas is crowded and/or dirty, with no spaces between loungers and tree leaves and glasses left far to long without being cleared.

The 2 smaller pools areas we visited were covered in bird poo (Floor and Loungers) and we also noticed several broken loungers at one of the pools.

The beach area was covered in stones and rocks not sand and in many places it looked unsafe. Plus, the resorts watersports shop had numerous boats and jet ski's parked up meaning there was oil on the sea itself which made it a little unpleasant to swim in.

The pathways besides the aqua park are essentially still a work site; with various materials stacked up, workers present and unfinished bits of construction.

The kids club was the worst I have experienced. My daughter normally looks forward to holidays for these clubs for the activities etc. She went once for an hour and then begged us not to take her again as it was boring and they didn't do any activities.

The staff in general seemed to have limited consideration for and patience with guests and little or no training about there jobs, definitely not service with a smile...

The Ugly;
My experience of the Aqua Park was very bad. It is crowded and whilst some of the slides themselves were excellent, the pools you plung into after the slides have small rocks and sand in them, and the safety protocols / life guards are poor.

On our 2nd day I ended up striking my elbow on the bottom of the pool (and hitting a patch of small stones) after riding a medium slide, this resulted in a deep laceration to my elbow; requiring 3 stiches and a Tetanus jab and meant I could'nt get wet for the rest of the holiday. The worst part is that none of the lifeguards noticed or seemed to care about the accident and seemed to think it wasn't that bad once they were aware.

The hotel is a messy joke.
To sum it up we we left our room at 12 today after being abruptly by a member of reception the hotel was full so we could not pay to have the room all day. So we packed up and when I asked if we could have a shower at 6pm , again the friendly reception girl told me to go to the toilets downstairs to get sort myself out.
Outstanding service and help.
Currently sitting warm and uncomfortable waiting for taxi.
Whilst here people have had d &v, they ran out of ice, chicken, sprite. Don’t come here if your want to eat well as the food is shocking and the service worse. I’ve never once left a review and I’m 52 years old - so please keep this in mind when you decide to come to this 2 star hotel.

Honest review
We been here a few days and we're ready to go home, even the kids are ready to go home.
First of all we paid for a room with a bunk bed as this what our kids wanted, on arrival we were told their are no rooms with bunk beds left.
At reception they said that they would contact us the next day to get us in one, we haven't heard anything 3 days later.
Their is 4 of us in this room, only 2 cups and 2 tea bags, we can't even have a cup of tea together.
Only 2 chairs on the balcony so we can't even enjoy the balcony as a family.
Every day at breakfast, lunch and dinner we have to clean the tables our selves as staff are chatting.
The night buffet made us all sick and have been in the hotel room all day.
Polish guests are very rude, push in front of ques in the restuarant.
90% of staff are miserable, especially in the restuarant.
Any request seems so difficult from staff.
Strongly advising people to visit another hotel. Not the usual friendly Turkish hospitality at this hotel.
Only good things are the kids slides and the beach.
Only nice staff are the young lad that does the ice cream, Ali the jet 2 rep and the gozleme lady who is hidden away in the dirt for some reason.

Strongly advise you not to waste your hard earned money or holidays here.

A bit disappointing really as we all paÿ lots of money to come here and they are already starting to get ready to close!! This should not happen until the last holiday maker goes home. The holiday package said there is different entertainment every night but we only had the d.j and although he was funny and good, every night gets a bit boring so went to town the last night. They started running out of drinks and not replacing them ie white wine in the entertainment bar and pineapple juice in Raays bar. The swimming pools are spotless but ice freezing which is probably down to the weather. The main restaurant is ok! The don't really cater much for the English so be aware if fussy children.
This all sounds negative but I think this is down to our holiday timing but should not be any different fŕom the summer!! Lots of people or not, we deserve the same 5* holiday that we paid for.
Again at the time we went there is no way I would say it was a 5* or 4*! 3* at the most!! If we went a few weeks earlier this review would of no doubt been totally different, as the hotel is spotless the maids do a fantasic job everyday in your rooms and we met some lovely people here.

No, I don't recall any if the sunbeds having cushions on them, so we used towels to cover them. The smaller pools have broken sunbeds around them that were covered in bird poo, so I'd avoid these. Out transfer took at least 1.5 hours. Yes,,there is a lift in the main building.

Our room did have 2 beds, a single for our daughter and a double for us, so you should be fine. Depending on how you've booked I'd be very specific about your requirement prior to arrival, by emailing your provider or the hotel directly to make the request.
