We have just returned from 2 nights staying in this hotel. We were in a building at the back, like a coach house. The entrance was very shabby with a lump of plaster out of the wall, dirty paintwork etc. Our room was really dark and the electric lights made hardly any difference at all. There was no bedside light...

Took my mum and my sister for afternoon tea for Mother's Day but felt very underwhelmed. The room was dark and empty, only us and one other table having lunch, the place completely lacked atmosphere. However, the waitress was really friendly and the actual afternoon tea was tasty, cakes and sandwiches were fresh, although scones served with fresh cream and...

I congratulated the chef on slicing the goats cheese so thin, you could hardly taste it there...

An adorable old Manor House in the lovely Welsh countryside nice comfy bed and fantastic food in the restaurant. I would rather support local hotels and b&bs than the chains that don't put money back into the local community. For the price this great

The views were obscured by low cloud and lots of rain, but I reckon the grounds would be beautiful in Spring and Summer. It's a lovely hotel, too. We stopped overnight in a room in the Coach House and it was very comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished, and in good repair. What really made it for my wife and I,...
