We recently visited a restaurant in Caerphilly my mother in laws 50th and the food was dreadful. After visiting this place and having a meal I would definitely go again! We were served by "Becky" and...

We went for a very late (3.30) lunch so probably didn't see the best of this place. Traditional roast was great and there were loads of fresh not frozen veg. A bit watery and overcooked but that may be to do with the time we ate. Puddings were great. Real ale choice limited but great beer.

Went to The Cross Oak Inn this evening for a meal out with my husband. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the meal was lovely. Generous portions which is unusual these days!! Will go again.

Had Sunday lunch here it was stunning, lots of veg to go with your meal and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful can't recommend it enough. Good selection of desserts as well. Parking can be difficult however but there is a number of side streets that you can usually find somewhere to park

Even though it is reasonably close to where we live, ( approx 5 miles ) this was the first time we had payed it a visit for quite a number of years. There were 3 of us in our party, celebrating my wife's birthday. We were...

Everyone loved their food and one who is a vegetarian said it was the best nut roast she had ever tasted! Very friendly staff too. Highly...
