Hammock Cove Antigua garners praise for its serene and romantic atmosphere, making it a favorite for special getaways, as guests appreciate the luxurious amenities and personalized touches. The spacious, well-appointed rooms with stunning views are often highlighted, though some have raised minor issues with amenities like beach towel quality. While the hotel's cleanliness receives high marks for its pristine beach and rooms, opinions on value and service show some variation, with accolades for staff attentiveness alongside notes on occasional service inconsistencies.

This luxury property is a dream come true! You must visit their website for details. They are serious about their three pillars of excellent and it starts at the airport with your personal pickup. Bar service, inside and outside your villa, is premium. Nigel will definitely take care of you! We were fortunate enough to run into the owner twice during our stay and he exhibited the same warm, sincere hospitality that the entire staff possessed. Lovely man. Whether you want to simply relax or explore the island, there is plenty of options for everyone.

Our recommendations: #1 Don't miss a single night of Michelin-level dining at the Lighthouse restaurant. And take advantage of the cooking demo with chefs - you won't regret it. Lunch on the beach is SUPER special and a must. Go off property at least one day to enjoy the beautiful people and rich culture. Take a stroll to Devil's Bridge right outside the property gate - and buy from the local vendors that sell items there.

I do have two recommendations for improvement:
1. Install "inside" locks in each villa. A guy restocking our bar walked into our room without knocking nor announcing himself. The villa doors open outward so if you are having any kind of personal moment, you will be exposed if someone walks in unannounced. Thank God my husband was in the villa with me because I was in the shower at the time. Honestly, I was on edge the remainder of our stay and made my husband move the club chair in front of the door whenever we were in the room - especially overnight. I ALWAYS felt safe, but I didn't want to be exposed in any way.

2. Upgrade the villa bath towels. The bathroom, along with the entire property, is definitely luxury but the towels are lacking. It may seem like a small/picky thing to some, but not for this level of property.

Bottomline, this stay was magnificent, and we definitely hope to return in the near future. Go! You will NOT be disappointed.

Dear Caroline, Thank you so much for sharing your delightful review of Hammock Cove! We’re overjoyed to hear that you had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the luxury and personal touches we strive to deliver. Knowing that Nigel and our team, including our owner, made you feel welcome truly warms our hearts. It sounds like you made the most of the Michelin-level dining at the Lighthouse, the cooking demo, and even ventured out to experience Devil's Bridge and our beautiful island—precisely what we hope for all our guests! I’m sorry to hear about the bar staff entering your villa unexpectedly. Your peace of mind is vital to us, and I understand entirely how unsettling that must have been. Rest assured, we are addressing this with our team to ensure this won’t happen again. Your suggestion for inside locks is valuable, and we’ll be sure to consider it. Also, we appreciate your note about the bath towels. We want every detail to reflect the luxury you expect, and your feedback will help us achieve that. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable stay—this time, even better than the last. Take care, Hammock Cove

We had a wonderful 12 night return to Hammock Cove. When you repeat a visit there is always the possibility that things won’t be as good but this was certainly not the case. Our vacation was as good as the first time, probably better as we were more relaxed and not doing the trips we did the first time.
Food was excellent and Chef Marco retains his enthusiasm and drive and was so interesting to talk to. It really is fine dining in an all inclusive environment. Not sure what experiences people have who don’t rate the food. We just loved the nightly choices and the beach bbq. Staff are great, helpful, keen and so ready to engage with any requests. Again we didn’t really use the ambassador system as we are pretty self sufficient. It remains very much a resort for relaxation and peace and quiet with the odd noisy individuals in a distinct minority.
We walked to Devils Bridge again and this time made the short walk (1 mile) to Long Bay - go early as it gets very hot but it is worth a look. Taxis are pretty good value and we had a short trip to see Half Moon Bay, Galley Bay and the iconic view of English Harbour from Shirley Heights. We also did the Calypso Cat again , an enjoyable 4 hour excursion.
Only minor issues, room towels rather thin for a luxury hotel and beach opens late and closes early. We would have liked beach towels out consistently by 8am and the bar open until least 4pm but accept this may be due to lack of people as we noted that often the beach was almost deserted by 3.30.
If you are looking for a quality, relaxing experience with great food, this is the place to be.

For reference, this was our 4 th trip to Antigua and likely close to our 20 th all-inclusive vacation. Hammock Cove met all of our expectations and more. Our water view bungalow was spacious and thoughtfully furnished. We enjoyed the fantastic view from the porch and spent many hours in our little piece of heaven. The plunge pool was very welcome in the August heat. The food was unequivocally the best I've enjoyed at any all-inclusive resort and I am a picky eater. Dinner was an elegant meal with precision service in the white tablecloth Lighthouse Restaurant. During our week-long stay the menu was refreshed daily and every item we tried was superb. ( FYI servings are small as usual in fine dining restaurants). The beach is man-made and small but very clean and certainly adequate for a small resort. The water was sublime - perfectly clear and calm since the resort is actually located on a cove off the Atlantic Ocean. Service was unobtrusive but attentive. We did have 2 assigned butlers. We never met one of them and only saw the other on arrival ad departure. They were reachable by phone but we had few needs that were not fulfilled by the resort in general. Internet is excellent which I needed at times for work. Gym is small in keeping with the resort size but very clean and well-equipped. We noticed a wide variety of ages of the guests - a good many honeymooners but also about 10-20% "senior citizens". Overall, we valued the space and tranquility that Hammock Cove provides. It is the perfect place to rest (great mattresses!!) and recharge and we look forward to returning soon.

We chose Hammock Cove because we like the convivence of all-inclusive BUT we are also foodies and enjoy fine dining. Hammock Cove delivered both of these and then some. The food was our main draw and we were excited to experience the work of Chef Marco. Our expectations were very high for the food and I’m happy to say that Chef exceeded our expectations! Every night he and his team dazzled us with fine dinning selections. There were so many exceptional dishes! The two that really stood out for me was the foe gras risotto and the branzino which was prepared somewhat like a picatta dish. Every evening the menu was new with many fine dining starters and mains to choose from. We had a large group so I was fortunate to taste most menu items each night. Wednesday was a great food day which started with a cooking demonstration (attended by Chef Marco and his 2 head chefs) which resulted in an outstanding lunch of red snapper and gnocchi (they taught us how to make both) and then later that evening the 7 course tasting meal. Tip, make sure you eat your dinners at the lighthouse to take full advantage of Chef Marco’s menu through your stay. It was great meeting and talking with Chef through the week and the dinner team was top notch as well, we really miss seeing Sophia, Troy and the awesome sommelier Ilaria.

We came for the food but we will probably come back for the people and the drinks. The bar tenders were over the top. Best crew of bar tenders I have ever experienced. No syrupy low quality alcohol drinks here, all top shelf alcohol with drinks made to perfection. We had drinks (some of them invented on the spot) that we will dream about until we are able to return. The bar tending team of Joel, Nigel, Andre, Zach and Gabby was fantastic. You just pick an alcohol and they went to work. Andre made us an orange gin drink, he called an Andretini that smelled so good, and tasted even better. My wife is a beer drinker, but on arrival, Nigel was not going to let her first drink be a beer, so he made her a beergreritti, which she loved (had several through the week). Gabby not only served us great rum he was our morning barista where he dazzled us with awesomely decorated cappuccino. Zach and Joel (the master) made dinners fun and we legitimately left there able to call them new friends. My son, Tyler, is still connected with many of the team (Sophia even texted him to make sure we got home okay). We can’t wait to go back and see them all again.

The rooms, the view, the pool, the beach and devils bridge next door are all things that made our stay one of the best Caribbean vacations we have had to date (we’ve had a few). The only complaint was that the weather was uncharacteristically wet and windy for February. We are already talking about our return visit.

Dear Valued Guests, Thank you for sharing your fantastic experience at Hammock Cove! Clearly, the resort not only met but exceeded your expectations, particularly regarding the food, drinks, and wonderful staff. As food enthusiasts, you were drawn to Hammock Cove because of the convenience of all-inclusive amenities and fine dining experiences. Chef Marco and his team impressed you with their culinary creations, consistently delivering exceptional dishes throughout your stay. The foie gras risotto, and the branzino prepared in a piccata style were particularly memorable. The changing menu each evening offered a variety of fine dining starters and mains, allowing you to explore a range of flavors. The Wednesday cooking demonstration, an outstanding lunch, and the 7-course tasting meal further enhanced your dining experience. You recommend dining at the Lighthouse to appreciate Chef Marco's menu fully. The bartenders at Hammock Cove left a lasting impression with their skill and creativity. They crafted top-notch cocktails using high-quality ingredients, ensuring a memorable drinking experience. The Joel, Nigel, Andre, Zach, and Gabby team went above and beyond, inventing unique drinks you'll remember until your next visit. The personal connections and friendships you formed with the bartending team made your stay even more special. The rooms, views, pool, beach, and the nearby Devil's Bridge made your stay one of your best Caribbean vacations. Despite the uncharacteristically wet and windy weather, your overall experience was exceptional. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and praise for Hammock Cove. The incredible food, outstanding service, and memorable interactions with the staff made your stay unforgettable. We look forward to your return visit and the opportunity to create more wonderful memories for you and your family. Warm Regards, Hammock Cove

What can we say that has not already been said in other reviews. This is an incredible place and we had a fantastic holiday. The food is outstanding at every meal and is all overseen by Chef Marco who seems to be at every service and even appeared on the beach at lunchtime! Breakfast has the same menu each day which is not a problem as it is huge and takes a week to work your way through all the dishes! Lunch can be taken on the beach and each day you are given a menu (that changes each day) and then your order is taken and you eat at your sun lounger. The evening meal is taken in the Lighthouse restaurant with a daily change to the menu. There are lots of choices and Chef Marco is constantly checking that everything is OK. This is fine dining at it’s best and there is a seven course tasting menu on a Wednesday evening.

At lunchtime on the beach there is usually something preceding lunch i.e. caviar and bubbles, sushi, oyster and bubbles. Otherwise the event is the lunch itself so the most fantastic seafood BBQ or meat BBQ. The service on the beach is attentive with a large cocktail menu and just about any other drink you can think of including tea!

The villas are spacious – we stayed in a waterfront villa which had fantastic views and ours had good privacy. The villa does not have a bath which is a real shame and would have preferred to have had only the one shower rather than two. The bed was huge and comfortable. The outside space was large with a daily stocked bar and a plunge pool. The pool is not heated so in March was quite cold but still fun. Apart from the addition of a bath the only other thing I would change would be to be given slippers with the robes as the floors are not washed daily and get quite dirty.

We had two ambassadors – one was very good but the other, was not. Even though we asked for the same things several times over a couple of days, it never materialised, so we organised it ourselves. This ambassador made all our dinner reservations in the Lighthouse. Alas on one occasion, we were told we were half an hour late for our booking, as the ambassador had told us one time and the restaurant another! We booked a trip with the front desk rather than using the ambassador as we did not want another thing to be mucked up.

We had a fantastic trip and look forward to visiting again in the furture.

Dear Valued Guests, Your experience at Hammock Cove seemed a bit different from what you expected, particularly regarding the food and some aspects of the service. While you enjoyed the modern Caribbean feel of the hotel and the amenities, such as the plunge pool, there were some downsides. You found the rooms lovely with spacious bathrooms, but you mentioned a few issues, such as inconsistent turndown service and a lack of daily cleaning in the outdoor area, which led to ant problems. Additionally, there were some initial hiccups with the availability of pool towels. One of the major disappointments for you was the food. As someone accustomed to high-quality dining experiences, you felt that the food at Hammock Cove fell short. You mentioned undercooked seafood on Christmas Day and a lack of attention to detail regarding presentation, such as chips on plates and serving dishes. Comparing the experience to Michelin dining, you felt that Chef Marco could improve the quality of the food and menu flow. You also suggested a reevaluation of the lunch and in-room meal options. Despite the disappointments, you did mention enjoying a private Pink Panther tour, which was a positive experience. Overall, your stay at Hammock Cove seemed to have some shortcomings, particularly regarding the food and service, which didn't meet your expectations based on your experiences with 5-star dining. Your feedback highlights areas where improvements can be made to enhance the guest experience. Warm Regards, Hammock Cove

No negatives unless you want loud music and night life you won’t find that. You will find tranquility, spotless beaches and rooms which offer privacy
Lighthouse restaurant offers amazing selection of food served by amazing staff. Cannot speak highly enough of every member of staff who all want to please. A bonus is knowing that you can help local people too via the wishing well campaign for the price of a bottle of wine you can enable 3or 4 children to have the equipment they need to start school that small amount of money makes that big a difference, not preaching just saying it made us feel good.
Enjoy your time here it’s fantastic.

One of the best all inclusives we have stayed at. This is a great resort for complete relaxation. Villas are large and include a large patio with infinity plunge pool, lounge chairs, and a swinging chair. Bathroom is huge and off of the bathroom is a walk in closet . With 24 hour room service you would never have to leave.
The food is the star and Chef Marco is leading a great team in the kitchens. The menus change every day for every meal with some parts staying the same. Lots of clean and gluten free options too.
Once a week, on the beach there is a seafood bbq, and another day a meat bbq. Breakfast and lunch are great with dinner being the star. On Wednesday’s, Chef Marco hosts a 7 course tasting dinner that is amazing! The other nights are 3 courses with some surprises. Iriana is the sommelier and she has some great wines that are included and of course more you can buy.

Several nights with dinner there is live piano music.

The steak restaurant opened for dinner during our stay and it is great too. A fun vibe and you can watch all the action happening in the kitchen.

In room liquor is high quality and drink fridge is restocked every day with the ability to request more of your favorites.

The ambassadors take care of all your requests and reservations

Darts are available at the rum bar with Gabriel as the bartender offering rum tastings. There is a game room with a pool table, chess and scrabble.

Beach is small but there are plenty of chairs available. Water-sports include paddle boards, kayaks, and a hobie cat. There is another sister resort next door and the ere beach is larger and you can request a day pass to visit. The resort is in a cove which helps block the windy atlantic. It offers a large area to explore via kayak and paddleboard. You can catch a catamaran for a snorkling cruise or go on a fishing trip from the dock at the beach.
Devils Bridge National Park is next door and great to walk to anytime of the day. 4 shops are open to buy souvenirs.
All of the staff are very friendly and Emily the cat is such a fun cat to visit with at breakfast and lunch.

We just got back from a 6 day, 10 year anniversary trip and it was absolutely amazing. We went looking for some r and r and we got exactly that. The villas were incredible, plunge pools with amazing views. We couldn’t have asked for more. The food at the lighthouse was definitely 5 star quality. Lunches by the pool were also very good, fresh fish daily They had specials daily. The staff was great and always helpful, whatever we asked for we received. Sometimes they knew what we needed without even asking. The drinks were plentiful, well stocked rooms with whichever premium alcohol we asked for. Amazing trip, highly recommended!

This is a lovely place but has a long way to go in my opinion. The access road is appalling, the hugest potholes ever!
You are greeted by an ambassador who takes you in the bar for a drink whilst he takes your luggage to your villa.
We had a villa which was overlooking the bay with its own private pool.
The villa had full amenities, the double shower was HUGE. The minibar was complimentary and restocked daily with some alcohol and soft drinks. Tea and coffee was available.
The outdoor terrace was huge, my only criticism there is that the outdoor beds are hard and sooo uncomfortable, we couldn't use them/.
There are paddle-boards and kayaks which were also free to use.
My main bugbear was the food/restaurants. There are 2 restaurants, The Lighthouse and The Bistro (where you have breakfast). I had forgotten to pack my husbands long trousers so we weren't allowed to go in the lighthouse at all so we had to go in the bistro every night!! The menu was burgers and pizza which we endured all week. There is a menu for late snacks which starts at 11pm, I asked our ambassador if I could just get a grilled cheese sandwich at 7pm because I just couldnt tolerate another burger and he said that he would try and BEG THE CHEF - I did get one but when you are paying literally thousands and thousands of dollars this is not the treatment you expect!! Another example - on the Tuesday night it was sushi night - we hate sushi so went to the bistro for another burger!! We were told that we weren't allowed to sit at a table (in the empty restaurant) as there were chopsticks on the table!!, we were told that we had to sit at the bar to eat - I have never felt so embarrassed or awkward in my life with drinkers staring.
The final straw came when it was time to check out - we called the ambassador to get someone to help us with our luggage - he said no because it was raining!!!! But it was ok for us to get wet through to go to the airport to sit on a plane for 11 hours!!!!!
The only nice person there was a lovely lady called Linda - honest - just one! I would not go there again

Dear Guest, We appreciate your feedback and would like the opportunity to completely address the concerns raised in your review. Hammock Cove Antigua is renowned for delivering five-star service, and while we acknowledge perfection is a continuous pursuit, several claims in your review do not align with our known commitment to excellence. Allow me to provide clarification and defend the standards we uphold. External entities maintain the access road leading to Hammock Cove, but we consistently advocate for its upkeep to ensure smoother transportation. Despite this, we provide private, air-conditioned transfers to ensure a comfortable journey to the resort. Our culinary offerings are a hallmark of Hammock Cove’s luxury experience. Irina’s Bistro offers an expansive menu far beyond burgers and pizza, featuring fresh, locally inspired dishes, creative Caribbean flavors, and daily specials designed to delight every palate. The Lighthouse, as a fine dining establishment, has a clearly stated dress code to preserve its refined ambiance, a standard upheld by premier resorts worldwide. Should dress items be forgotten, Antigua offers numerous retail options, and our gift shop is stocked with essentials. Any of our guest service members would have gladly assisted you in sourcing appropriate attire to ensure you enjoyed all dining options available. Furthermore, on sushi night, alternative dining arrangements are always made available for those with different preferences, and it is regrettable if this was not communicated to you effectively. Our ambassadors are trained to anticipate and respond to every guest's needs. It is entirely inaccurate to suggest they would refuse assistance during checkout due to weather conditions. We take great pride in going above and beyond to support our guests at all times, and this claim is in stark contrast to the feedback we regularly receive. We are disheartened by your claim that only one staff member provided quality service. Our team is frequently recognized for their warmth, professionalism, and dedication, with numerous positive reviews praising their efforts. We believe this was a mischaracterization and does not reflect the interactions most guests experience. We strive to ensure every guest’s stay is remarkable and personalized. While we regret that you left feeling disappointed, we stand by the exceptional reputation of Hammock Cove. Should you wish to revisit and allow us to provide the five-star experience we are known for, we would be delighted to welcome you back. Take care and safe travels, Hammock Cove

My wife and I just returned from a stay at Hammock Cove. Based on the price point to stay at this resort there should be a much higher delivery on customer service, food and quality of the resort and villas

I will start with the positives. A select few of the staff members were fantastic and very friendly especially the men and women working at the beach and pools. They were fantastic. We had great conversations and service there. The pools, beach and cove itself were amazing and always very nicely kept in the public areas. The massages at the Serenity Spa are also worth the money but not much else.

The cons stand out more especially for a resort that charges $10k USD for a stay. First the quality of the villa itself leaves much to be desired. We had rain and cockroaches entering our room via the wide open space in the main door. When an employee tells you to put a towel across the bottom of the door to keep the cockroaches out then-that is a major issue. The private pool also had stone breaking apart which left us walking across concrete stones everyday.

The biggest issues with the resort itself were the ambassador program, food and customer service. Our experience with the ambassador program was awful. They never made a single reservation at the lighthouse for dinner for our entire stay until the last night, even though that was the first topic covered when we arrived. We arrived at dinner every night to be told we didn’t have a reservation. They also never delivered an itinerary for the entirety of our stay even though we made multiple requests both about the dinner reservations and itinerary issues. We never saw our personal ambassador unless we called which we only did one time to order room service. The ambassador program should have been the highlight of this resort but it was the biggest disappointment. The other customer service through out the resort was not great as well minus a select few. No one cared to have conversations and it seemed like non one wanted to be there nor did they want to deal with the guests.

Finally the food was a disappointment too. They have a very limited menu so if you have special needs especially with allergies or just didn’t like the offering that day you were left to have pizza or a burger. The light house dining experience left much to be desired. The menu was too focused on presentation of dishes instead of the food itself. My wife and I left hungry most nights especially with the limited menu offerings. The best meal each day was breakfast with the fresh coffee as well as fresh squeezed orange juice.

I don’t believe this resort is worth the money but a lot of people love this resort based on the reviews. We just wanted to give our fair and honest opinion. We will not be returning based on our experience which is disappointing to say the least.

Dear Kyle, Thank you for your valuable feedback. We deeply regret that your stay did not reflect the exceptional standards that Hammock Cove is known for, especially given the premium experience you anticipated. It's heartening to hear you enjoyed the pristine pools, beach, cove, the outstanding service from our dedicated beach and pool staff, and the top-notch massages at Serenity Spa. However, we recognize the areas where we fell short, particularly regarding our villa accommodations and the ambassador program. We take your concerns very seriously and are refining our protocols to ensure a supremely comfortable and secure environment for all our guests. We understand your disappointment with the ambassador program is a significant concern. Rest assured, we are implementing immediate enhancements in training and oversight to ensure that every guest feels exceptionally valued and thoroughly cared for throughout their stay. Regarding your dining experience, we are expanding our menu offerings to more comprehensively cater to all dietary needs and preferences, aiming to deliver a consistently delightful and satisfying culinary experience. Kyle, we are dedicated to addressing these issues and exceeding expectations. We are eager to have the opportunity to transform your perception of Hammock Cove and demonstrate the authentic 5-star experience we are known for. Please let us know if there's anything specific we can do to make things right. Your insights are significant to us, and we hope we can welcome you back to provide you with the impeccable experience you deserve. Warmest regards, Your Hammock Cove Team
