We had a wonderful stay with Jacquie and her team at the villas at sunset lane. The rooms and bathrooms were large, well equipped with comfy beds and efficient a/c and ceiling fan. Jacquie is an amazing host and an excellent cook. Continental breakfasts were lovely but we did treat ourselves to omelettes for breakfast a couple of times and they were amazing. We also ate dinner at the villas in two occasions and they were very tasty. We certainly didn't go hungry. The villas are very clean and the staff team are friendly and helpful. Pool is lovely and also kept extremely clean. Jacquie is a perfect host who helped with sorting out the puncture we got on our hire car plus made dinner reservations and excursion reservations. The area is quiet but is 10 mins walk from the beach and a short drive into St Johns. Best rum punch on the island!!! I would definitely stay there again.

What an absolute gem of a place!! My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights, prior to embarking on a cruise, and it was amazing here. The room was huge, spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything we could possibly need, with a stunning view of the sea. Jackie was a fantastic host and a brilliant chef too!! - we had jerk chicken with coconut rice and fried plantain one evening, and it was delicious. If you get the chance to eat there, then definitely choose something from her menu, you won't be disappointed. The breakfast was lovely too, with included freshly prepared fruit, toast and homemade marmalade, but with the option of eggs or omelettes if required. The setting was peaceful with lovely views over Dickenson Bay, and the lovely beach was only a 10 minute walk away via a short cut through the property. Jackie was very helpful, organising taxis for us to take us to the ship, contacted out tour company when the guide was a little late, and even drove us to the beach one day to show us where it was and the route to take back. Nothing was a problem, and we felt safe and well looked after. The other staff there were lovely too, very charming, friendly and polite and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jackie and her resort to everyone. Thank you Jackie for a memorable stay in Antigua, we loved every second of our stay there.

To start, I can't brag enough about the host and owner, Jackie. She was absolutely amazing, always ready to provide any assistance we needed, from restaurant recommendations to serving morning coffee and fresh fruit in bed. She even went to town to get beers for our group when we arrived!
The accommodations were fantastic, with spacious rooms and a large pool. The place was spotless, both inside and out, with modern amenities and TVs in all the rooms. It truly felt like a home away from home.

This property is amazing, quiet, clean, comfortable, and best of all it is managed by the lovely owner/chef Jackie. She has a natural warmth that is something one is born with. She made our stay extra special just with her smile, kindness, and going the extra mile to assist us with taxis and giving us suggestions for local restaurants. Thank you!

We were made to feel very welcome at this beautiful property.Jackie, the owner,is a really lovely interesting lady as well as being an amazing chef (you will not find better jerk chicken or pumpkin soup on the island!) Short downhill walk to Dickenson Bay beach and a short taxi ride to St John’s. Room was immaculately clean. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.Highly recommended!

The stay at this small hotel was perfect. Jackie the owner is so kind and is also a wonderful cook, who presents local cuisine cooked from fresh local ingredients. The room we had was very large and clean with the most comfortable bed and sheets with a very high thread count. There is air-conditioning, a smart tv and wifi connection. The beautiful Dickenson Bay beach is 10 mins walk from the hotel. We would recommend this trip to Antigua and stay at the Villas at Sunset Lane.

After our flight was cancelled at 1 in the morning the group I was traveling with (11 of us) were left stranded. Still trying to find a hotel at 4am we finally came across this place, we got through to the owner Jackie who kindly took us all in.
We arrived 4.30am Jackie was making up extra beds for us and could not have been more accommodating.
When we woke up we had all missed breakfast but Jackie insisted that we were all getting a cooked breakfast.
The place has stunning views, very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and caring.
Jackie is one of the nicest humans I have ever met. There is not many people in the world that have a huge heart like her and you can tell that looking after people is her passion.
I highly recommend to stay here, we wish we found it sooner so we could if stayed there for our whole trip.
Many Thanks Greg

I am late in posting my review as I wanted to wait until people were starting to think about travelling again.
First off I will say that if you like the big all inclusive resorts then this isn't the place for you, however, if you like something smaller, cosier and that bit different it is certainly worth considering. It isn't right on the beach but does have a small pool and the beach, bars and restaurants are just a short walk, alternatively taxis are relatively inexpensive if you want to go further afield,
It must be said that this was one of the strangest holidays we have ever had, when we left London there wasn't even a pandemic but before we got home the UK had gone into lockdown and people were advised to get home before the flights stopped.
Anyway, we stayed at the Villas At Sunset Lane in March 2020 (I couldn't get this into the date of travel box so just put May as the earliest date I could use), Because everywhere was closing the tourists on the island were preparing to leave with of course no new ones coming in and because of this my husband and I were the only guests booked in that week, I must admit that this was rather lovely as we had the place to ourselves it was rather like having a house and private chef than being booked into a hotel. The food was excellent we and enjoyed the local dishes freshly prepared by Jacqueline, the owner/chef. I came home armed with some of her recipes although I much prefer eating them in the Villas lovely dining room or on the terrace while looking out at the sea.
Our stay was initially one night before we flew to the BVI for a sailing holiday, then we stayed for another week before flying home. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean the only downside was that we didn't have a balcony or terrace although we noticed that other rooms did so if you like some private outside space it might be worth booking one of those rooms but there is a pretty little pool area and a large terrace so there is plenty of places to enjoy the sunshine or to sit and have a drink.
Many of the bars and restaurants had already closed so we were lucky to have such a good chef we both enjoyed the food prepared by Jacqueline who made such an effort to give us different dishes everyday. Breakfast was also a treat as we were served freshly prepared breads or baked goods warm from the oven.
From the little we saw of Antigua (all tourists attractions had closed) it looked a beautiful island with friendly welcoming people, I hope we get the chance to visit again before too long but in the meantime I wish Jacqueline all the very best and send her a big thank you for making us so welcome and taking such good care of us.

My wife and I didn't want to stay at a big resort, so we selected The Villas At Sunset Lane. We were so happy we did. This place was perfect. It is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The owner and chef Jackie makes you feel welcome and will do anything to make your stay great. Feels like you are staying at a friends place.

Jackie is an extremely gracious host. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Jackie was very accommodating, some in our group were unable to manage stairs. Jackie was able to move us to a more suitable room. The food was excellent. The cab drivers are very professional and helpful.

I visited Antigua in September which is the low season, so I did not see any children on the premises. But, my room had a King size bed which would accommodate a two year old plus both parents.
definitely no smoting in the villas
mosquitos are around but if you spray with a repellent containing deet then no problems
there are sunbeds and umbrellas to hire on the nearby beaches
have a wonderful time Dave
