Our hotel is located just seven minutes from the V.C Bird International Airport, so you can unwind shortly after arriving on the beautiful island of Antigua. Some of our amenities include a large outdoor pool, a massage centre, and a jetty for mooring boats. Two wonderful beaches are also within walking distance. Our Mediterranean-style rooms have an ocean, pool or garden view and also offer air-conditioning, free WiFi, a fridge, and cable TV.

Ocean Point Beach Resort & Spa is often celebrated for its immaculate cleanliness and serene, tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation. Guests commend the comfortable rooms but note they could benefit from modernization, with the room amenities receiving mixed feedback. The location is a hit for its seclusion and stunning views, conveniently close to the airport.
While service is generally exceptional, marked by staff friendliness and attentiveness, there are occasional mentions of service inconsistencies. The hotel's amenities, including the pristine beach and large pool, are appreciated, though some guests feel they are basic considering the cost, with the value proposition occasionally falling short of expectations due to additional charges.

We've just returned from our yearly two week stay at Ocean Point and as always we were not disappointed. Its small and easy to get around for those like us with reduced mobility. The garden view rooms are on the ground floor and there is no lift so best to get one of those if you cannot do stairs. There are small steps up and down the corridor so beware of those. The room was lovely - sure you can always find fault in anything but it has everything you need - a fridge, mugs, a safe, hairdryer and is spotlessly clean - fresh towels every day and sheets changed several times in our stay. There is no kettle so if you want to have tea/coffee in the room without the bother of going to fetch it then you need to take your own. There is a coffee machine and water station in reception - we take our own water bottles to refill as this is much easier The pool area is well tended and plenty of beds. Its nice for morning length swimming The bar is lovely, overlooking the ocean and they make wicked cocktails and have a good supply of various drinks - alcoholic and non alcoholic. They also do a bar menu for various snacks lunch time and early evening. There is only entertainment 2 nights a week so if thats what you are after dont go there - we love the tranquility and prefer listening to the ocean rather than drunk people howling into a karaoke machine. The two local bands that play are very good. The restaurant is superb, with table service and a really good choice of quality food - and beautifully presented. There is extra choice that are not included in the all inclusive package but we had enough choice without this. The staff are excellent, especially Elroy, Didi and Kerry Ann who all go above and beyond to provide an excellent service. When it rains water pours through the roof - hopefully the new owners will be fixing that! We would recommend the all inclusive package - it could get very expensive if you were paying for every meal/drink. There isnt really anywhere nearby to eat without getting a taxi. The beach is just idyllic - just like a postcard! The sea is so warm. I would recommend taking sea shoes as its a bit pebbly in places getting in and there are some underwater rocks to trip on. There are more than enough beds and umbrellas you never have to rush out and put towels on them! My only criticism is the service on the beach is no longer what it was, the lunch time staff are not keen on serving the beach so you might see them just once a day - but its no big deal as its not far to get drinks/food yourself. They were changing management whilst we were there so hopefully the new owners will not change too much as it really works and many people return year after year as its so small and friendly. We will certainly be back

This is an average hotel, somewhere around 3 stars but at a 5 star price. This fact significantly spoils the hotel's rating, because if they were a little cheaper and communicated properly, it could be a very pleasant hotel. The room is an average Caribbean room, nothing extra, worn-out equipment, e.g. shower only on the top or let's say the bathroom equipment. The doors are not card-operated, but operate with a key. The single beds are not very big, the room is not either, we asked for a sea view, we got it, but in front of it there is the pool, the restaurant, so it only partially looked at the sea. The pool is very nice in the pictures, but in real life it is average, with salt water. The hotel's own beach is after the restaurant, after all, it has everything you need, foot shower, sun loungers, etc. But the beach is not turquoise and crystal clear water, but sandy, seaweed, wavy. The cleaning lady didn't bring water the second day, of course not because the hotel is pet bottle free, there is a water purifier, go and fill up the water, which is fine, but if you left the bottle in town, you don't have anything to fill up with water, I think you should reconsider this.
This would all be fine anyway, average Caribbean standard, but the check-in is slow, the hotel is a 3-star, but the price of 375 USD per night is completely unrealistic for this hotel, and that doesn't include the 50 USD per person breakfast either, so 475 USD per night for the two of us. If I add the location, I add that breakfast is 50 USD, and dinner is also about 50-100 USD. So 1 day in this hotel is 600 USD for two people, 300 USD per person, it seems quite a lot, for the quality listed above. The last time we paid this much for a hotel was in a Dominican community, but it was really on the beach, it was really 4 stars, with normal sized beds and I could list the differences.
Moreover, at the evening dinner they forgot our order, we had beer, beer and after the third beer, about 1 hour after ordering, we asked where the dinner was, then they realized that they forgot, so we got the dinner an hour and a half after the first order. Which was kind of fusion, neither European, nor Caribbean, nor Italian, so it wasn't worth 100 dollars.
But I could also say the breakfast, which is not a buffet but ordered, they forgot to bring one of the juices and the beans with tomatoes, we had to say so, for that reason.
Anyway, the hotel would have a good atmosphere, it would be a pleasant Caribbean hotel where I would gladly spend my time in the morning and evening, then have 1-2 drinks at the bar, but not for this much, the amount we left there is completely unrealistic.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, especially considering the price you paid. We deeply appreciate your observations, and we will use them to help us improve the experience for future guests. We understand that the value you felt you received did not align with the cost, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the room's condition and the amenities not meeting your expectations. Your points about the shower, the beach, and the sea view are helpful, and we'll work to ensure these aspects are clearer for future guests in our communications. We're also sorry to hear about the issues with our service, including the slow check-in, the mix-up with your dinner order, and the breakfast service. These are not the standards we strive for, and we will review our processes with the team to ensure that such oversights do not happen again. As for the water situation, we understand your frustration and will explore ways to make it more convenient for guests, particularly if they don't have a refillable bottle with them. Again, we thank you for your feedback and for giving us the opportunity to improve. We hope to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a stay that meets your expectations. Warm regards

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
This was our 4th visit to this hotel and once again it did not disappoint! This hotel is pure relaxation! The real asset to this hotel are the staff, they are AMAZING! Nothing is too much trouble for them from reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant they really are a credit to themselves and the hotel.
There are too many fabulous people to mention but Dezzy and the restaurant staff make you feel welcome and are very obliging. The food is good, we were all inclusive and there were many choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is always something for everyone. The salads at lunchtime are really good if you want something light rather than a full on 3 course lunch and from my point of view it would be nice if a selection of salads were offered in the evenings as well for those who want a ‘lighter choice’.
The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Alex a member of the housekeeping team looked after us exceptionally well as did all the other housekeeping staff our room was spotless every day.
The reception and maintenance teams are helpful and go out of their way to ensure that everything is as it should be.
Set in the North of the island there is always a cooling breeze whether you are lounging by the enormous pool or on the beach which is very welcome!
As per other reviews, this hotel is not big on evening entertainment which suits us perfectly. We were there over Christmas so there were a few things going on. The Tuesday night band is great but the Karaoke is awful! We love to sit on the deck with a drink after dinner and listen to the waves and have a chat but not on Karaoke night! I would suggest like another reviewer that the hotel ditch the Karaoke and maybe look to other local musicians instead. There was a fantastic sax player one night who set the mood of an after dinner drink perfectly.
This hotel is in a secluded location so if you want to be able to walk out and about in the evenings then Ocean Point is not for you but, if you want an ultra laid back relaxing holiday then this is the place for you.
There is so much to see in Antigua and it is a beautiful island but being so small the location of the hotel doesn't hinder that at all and the taxi drivers stationed at the hotel are brilliant.
We very much look forward to returning in March.

We are into the last couple of days of our regular winter visits to Ocean Point and as previously we have been delighted with our holiday. Location remains the biggest attraction, but this hotel is unbeatable for friendliness of staff - with no exceptions - and the dining experience is exceptional. The hotel is an older, traditional style building so rooms are not swish but they’re perfectly clean and most have views of the sea. For anyone, like us, who come on holiday for stunning sea location, total relaxation and restaurant style a-la-carte dining every night then you will be hard pressed to find a nicer place. Not looking forward to leaving all this behind to go home - but hey, we’ll be back soon!

We arrived at the hotel early evening for our ten day break, short check in process then porter took us and our cases to our room. Room was a nice size on first floor, good view of pool and bay, patio doors to good size balcony with table and comfortable chairs, room clean bed very comfortable good shower unusually no wardrobe but there is a rail so no problem. House keeping very good with no issues, All the meals are A La Carte breakfast menu is extensive with everything included in all inclusive, lunch and dinner A La Carte is quite varied on the all inclusive menu plus there are always specials also, there is a signature menu that runs along side this but this is payable,we did this one night very good a might expensive and no discount for being all inclusive. There is a water and coffee station at reception and on the stairwells. Drinks were very good even house wine was quaffable, service at the bars was good as was the service around the pools this was generally without exception the case with all the staff. There two beaches the smaller one has no breakwater so the sea is a little more livelier plenty of sun beds at both beaches never any issues with sun bed hogs. Pool very clean a might chilly this I doubt would not be problem had the weather been hotter pool towels as when needed. Entertainment was fairly muted but the atmosphere was very good around the bar. Our highlight of our holiday was the helicopter tour to Montserrat. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Stayed for 10nights in this lovely hotel , Checkin was smooth and quick with porter service for luggage. The rooms are decent size with fab views overlooking the gardens, beach and ocean. The rooms are in need of upgrading as very dated especially the bathrooms which are all very very tired. The showers are terrible and dribble out and occasionally stop mid showering, not a pleasant experience. Rooms are very clean and maintained very well by housekeeping . Gardens are lovely, colourful and very well maintained. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant/bar/seating area right on the ocean front which is beautiful to eat / drink and socialise listening to the waves. The beaches are immaculate and plenty beds/parasols and never seem over busy or crowded so plenty of room to chill and relax. The staff, and I mean ALL staff we came across really couldn’t do enough to help you, we’re always polite and friendly.
So everything so far is great HOWEVER the main issue with this resort is the meals , if you go all inclusive you basically have a choice of around 14 starters and main courses of mainly deep fried cheap fast food of burgers, chips, hummous etc and then they have the Signature menu of over 30 quality meals but all these have to be paid for which is terrible when you’ve paid a lot of money to eat well and enjoy. After 4 days enough was enough so a meeting was had with the manager and he kindly moved us to a new room where the shower was a vast improvement and he instantly accepted the food situation was not acceptable whatsoever and he allowed us to have the remainder of our holiday with full choice of all the menu with no additional costs. He did say he would be immediately going to make changes but only time will tell, I will look forward to checking future reviews to this had been implemented. The resort could be made so much better with just a very few small changes like cushions on the sunbeds, drink and snack service throughout the day, in 10 days we saw a staff member once asking if anyone would like a drink on the beach!! Better food menu is definitely required as I bet it’s been the same for years and a snack menu throughout the day. A fruit station with quality fruits would be ideal. There is no Caribbean foods served or anything local which is rather disappointing so maybe do some authentic Caribbean food. Maybe offer (for additional fee) table for dinner on the beach or island (pier) going out to the ocean for that romantic night. The resort just needs a few added touches to make the experience a little more of a quality stay. I do like the idea of the coffee / water stations which reduces plastic bottles etc . So would I return?? Absolutely IF they make the changes…. Let’s watch this space .

Response from Ocean Point - New Management, General Manager at Ocean Point Beach Resort & Spa
Responded 3 days ago
Dear Landscape100, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate both positive and constructive criticism, as it helps us improve the quality of our services. But we would like also to clarify that the new Management officially started with a new General Manager in charge as of February 1st. We understand your disappointment and please rest assured that we are actively addressing the areas you highlighted infact, while significant changes cannot happen overnight, we are already in the process of resolving many of the issues you mentioned, as we were aware of them prior to assuming the control. We infact are already working on expanding the All-inclusive Menu to include a wider range of options with a focus on local specialties, while also addressing long-standing issues such as room updates, which include new bed linens, towels and other products already ordered and on the way. Additionally, we have already reorganized some of our services to ensure a more genuine experience, including offering free poolside cabanas to all guests and of course, adding also a wide range of all-inclusive cocktails and drinks. We do value your feedback on our staff and we’re glad you had a positive experience with them. As you could verify yourself, we are still in the early stages of all these changes so we truly hope you will consider visiting us again, confident that your next stay will reflect the improvements we are working hard to implement. Just remember that we just introduced a new 𝟏𝟎% 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 so contact us directly and we will be happy to apply it to your next booking. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best regards!

Disappointing, especially given all the positive reviews
Part of the reason I chose this hotel was the vast number of good and excellent TA. reviews. Unfortunately our experience was more mediocre
To start with the positives, the hotel is on a very pretty beach with two lovely small coves, and is quiet and peaceful. The staff are overwhelming friendly. There is a large salt water swimming pool, and the poolside furniture is good quality.
However the rooms are dated and tired with worn out fixtures and fittings. Bed linen is thin and low quality. Bathrooms are scruffy with a trickle shower which continuously jumps between freezing and scalding, and the thinnest towels I've seen in a very long time.
Most disappointing, and surprising, was the food. After all the excellent reviews we were expecting something special but only the last two vegetarian pages of the menu are part of the all inclusive deal. Everything else, all the good items, are at considerable additional cost. - There is a small daily specials menu, but this has some quite unusual options, so for us, for the most part it was the veggie menu. - The pesto pasta is nice but there's only so many times you want it in a week.
I really object to paying again for the food I believed was included so we ate out at other restaurants a few times to make a change.
The staff are friendly, but not always the most competent. Asking for cutlery at breakfast resulted in a spoon being offered for hash brown and beans, and one of the waiters managed to tip a tray of drinks over us. - This could happen anywhere of course, but if does have a bit of a fawlty towers vibe.
Also note that the resort has no watersport facilities at all. At check in reception advised that snorkeling equipment was available at the bar, but the barman advised that the old equipment had been in poor condition so was thrown away a year ago. He said that new equipment would be purchased and made available for the next day, but it never materialised.
So it's good in part. Mostly the lovely setting and the friendly staff, but the lack of food choice and the tired dated rooms make this a 3 star experience at best

Dear tenterden2019, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. We genuinely appreciate your detailed review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful beach, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff. We are genuinely sorry to learn about the shortcomings you experienced in the rooms, particularly with the bed linen, bath towels and hot water in the shower. This could have been easily fixed once reported to Front Desk. However, we do understand the importance of a comfortable and well-maintained environment. Regarding the food, we regret that the dining experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback on the limitations of the all-inclusive menu and understand your frustration with the additional costs for certain items. We will review this aspect to ensure a more transparent and satisfying dining experience for our guests in the future. We also apologize for the service lapses you encountered, such as the mix-up with cutlery at breakfast and the unfortunate incident with the tray of drinks. Rest assured, we take your comments seriously, and we will address these issues with our staff to enhance their competence and efficiency. Concerning the water sport facilities, we apologize for the miscommunication regarding snorkeling equipment. We will investigate the matter to ensure that such discrepancies are avoided in the future, and we appreciate your understanding. We would like to however clarify in reference to your mention of a "3-star experience at best," that our hotel is indeed marketed and advertised as a 3-star property. We aim to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay within the parameters of a 3-star accommodation, and we apologize for any confusion that may have arisen. Your feedback is invaluable to us, we hope that you were still able to find moments of enjoyment during your time with us and would consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more satisfying experience. Kind Regards, Management

A very welcoming and friendly resort , the only negatives are that the bathroom is dated and our shower was like playing Russian Roulette ! the resort is isolated as with most Antigua hotels so nowhere to walk to ,we did not want to hire a car and the taxis are quite expensive . Good points are the friendliest staff , the grounds and beach and of course the food which for a 3 star hotel was great all served at the table or at lunchtimes and the afternoon could be delivered to the beach if requested. It was very refreshing to see plenty of sun beds all in good condition around the large pool and the beach and no need for towels on them ! All in all had a lovely time relaxing , in this friendly well run resort .

We had booked only to find our reservation cancelled! Not a good start but our tour operators (SN Tours) had made the error. The hotel did everything to help but unfortunately had a vacancy for only three days which, owing to our situation were very stressful until we were found a new hotel. We were very sorry to have to leave because Ocean Point was great. The staff were all amazing; respectful, cheerful and always doing their best to make every guest feel special. The standard of table service, food presentation and general ambiance in the restaurant was superb making each meal a special event. It was lovely to dine overlooking the sea, watching the odd pelican and egret. Our room (Cabana) had a huge balcony overlooking both the sea and the pool, a really comfortable bed, an efficient shower and relaxing but colourful decor. Maybe there could have been more storage space and a kettle in the room. The garden was kept beautifully and we saw humming birds in the morning. The pool was well designed, a very good size but a bit on the chilly side. Sunbeds were sometimes full and often left for long periods with towels on. Two fairly sheltered beaches were available to relax and swim on although it was very windy (obviously not the hotel's fault) during our stay. We enjoyed really excellent, professional entertainment one night and noticed that had we been able to stay, we could have taken trips to nearby Prickly Pear Island amongst others. We liked to see the remains of a sugar mill incorporated into the hotel building. The lobby area was relaxing and the coffee available was delicious. A car would be useful to explore the rest of the island independently if you don't want expensive trips. However, for a perfect relaxing holiday with attention to detail and high standards in dining and service, Ocean Point can't be beaten. Also the gift given to us on departure was a lovely touch!

My wife and I are now back in the U.K. after a lovely 10 days at Ocean Point Hotel and Spa. Although the room we had could, perhaps, have done with a little updating, it was of good size, high ceilinged, the bed was extremely comfy and the air con was very efficient. We’d arrived late the night before, but to open the curtains on that (!) view ? Palm trees, a spotless swimming pool, then mere metres away, a small beach and The Caribbean sparkling in sunshine ? Impossible not to smile ! Breakfast ? Tbh I’ve had better BUT the food served at lunch and at the evening meal was really excellent, very tasty and always well presented. And, you’ve never tasted rum and raisin ice cream like it ! Wonderful (…and enough rum in it to fail a breathalyser !) Staff at the hotel - without exception - are friendly and welcoming, a real credit to themselves and the hotel management. If you want a bustling nightlife with a noisy disco, you won’t find it at Ocean Point (thank goodness) …but if all you want is to relax and unwind and listen to the waves, to enjoy good food and meet other likeminded guests in a tranquil, beautiful location…you’ve come to the right place. Thanks to everyone at Ocean Point, we had a lovely time.

Hi,
You can order off the menu and there were a few specials. Plenty of choice. Pasta dishes, meat/fish dishes. They also have themed evening such as Pizza night (which we found to be terrible considering the Italian owners)
Never struggled to find something to eat.
There are more places to choose from in the St. John's area.
