Set on a postcard-lovely bay on the island of Antigua, this split-level resort features a hilltop building overlooking English Harbour and the picturesque waters of the Caribbean Sea. The Hotel has its own white sandy beach, with a small but lovely private dock. Clear emerald blue waters are encompassed by the magnificently lush green landscape of the surrounding hills. This semi-enclosure induces a feeling of privacy and seclusion.

Well this was indeed a beautiful place - looking out to the boats moored in the bay....very nice rooms, very friendly staff, good service, reasonable food and facilities. 4 star - not 5 star. Ideal, if you're happy to spend your holiday with a handful of customers who are

This really is a 5 star paradise. With only around 28 rooms and no children allowed, it is a peaceful, beautiful resort. The food in the main restaurant and beach bar is delicious and staff are great, they really make you feel welcome. The location is also great and they

Stayed here in early January and the resort is stunning, it’s everything a Caribbean hotel should look like, beautiful white sand in a perfect bay. Plenty of sun beds and the staff are lovely. The only problem is the food, it’s awful! The beech bar is fine but the main

The food here was excellent, as was the way we were looked after. Neither of these could be improved on. The cost of getting to the capital by taxi was, at the time of writing, $70 US - staff here encouraged us to take a boat to Nelson's Harbour and take a local bus from there

The setting is to die for - a lovely spot with a gorgeous beach. Like all of the Caribbean (in our experience) the staff were very nice. The real estate looks beautiful but we just didn’t find our suite a place we wanted to hang out. The seats in the living are were

What it is important to know is that what could be sold are just the beach cottages that can only be rennovated because it's no longer possible to build on the beach in Antigua and those few cottages on the hill. It also seems that even Galleon Beach is part of the UNESCO and the guidelines for building inside an UNESCO site are very strict and no construction are going to be allowed during the winter season.Futhermore there are another thousand reasons to believe that it will be not an easy sale so I don't think you have to worry.

TKholla gave a very good review but only one star??
Yes, the one star was an error and Tripadvisor is working to rectify it.

"All rooms are good"
"If you do not need lots of room space go for one of the cabanas"
"All the rooms are very close to the beach and pool and the Cabana's are on the beach only 20 or so yards from the sea."
"Choose an upper room due to poor soundproofing"
"Go for a delux suite, yes it is expensive but worth it!"
