From the quick trip here after landing to having so many things to do within walking distance, we just can't say enough about all there is to offer here! The color of the water is spectacular ✨️ the people are so pleasant and happy to have you here which is a big change 😀 fresh seafood daily, music, delicious drinks 🍸 things are expensive here and it is more for adults but just perfect for us. The water is safe to drink, you can leave the resorts without being fearful, and even with the cruise ship traffic we had no problem getting anywhere. Love it here and will return!

Hotel's Favourite
My husband and I vacationed at the Renaissance Wind Creek and we don't have any complaints! The main reason we chose to stay here was for Flamingo Island. We were impressed by the rest! We stayed on the Marina side (adults only) and it was very nice and the rooms seemed to be recently updated. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The boat to take you to the private island picks you up inside the hotel in front of Starbucks which was really cool. I believe they said if the water is too high/low they don't do this, and you would have to walk across the street to catch the boat. But even if you did, you literally just cross the street and the dock is right there so it wouldn't be a big deal. The private beach with the flamingos was super cool. We rented a private cabana one day and it was amazing. It came with a bottle of prosecco, water and a fruit platter. Be sure to bring American quarters to get food to feed the flamingos (and the iguanas like this food too we found out). We found the best time to feed the flamingos was a little before noon and later afternoon around 4ish. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how the beaches were at the resort. It wasn't a big deal since it was just my husband and I but if we would've had our 4 small children, we would have had to drive somewhere different to go to the beach. All the beaches have a small contained area which are then blocked by big rocks from the ocean so there's no where to "play in the waves" because these natural pool type things they form don't have waves. Again, I enjoyed it because you could float in the "ocean" without being knocked by big waves or worry about creatures under you :) but my kids would have been disappointed with no waves to play in or ride boogie boards in. I heard Eagle Beach and Baby Beach were good options for this, but we'd have to drive there. The pool bars have happy hour from 4:30-6pm every day where most every drink is half off. The wait staff is attentive without being over bearing. We had better service at the family side pool as opposed to the adult pool which was kind of surprising. All the food we had was excellent. We never had a bad meal. We walked across the street to the Marketplace and ate at Casa Tua and the Mexican place. They were both very good. They have live music everywhere so that makes it a fun atmosphere. We did a UTV and Natural Pools tour through De Palm Tours and it was awesome! Highly recommend!! Be prepared that things may be closed on Sunday. If you want to book a car/moped, do so ahead of time because they book out fast and won't be available when you get there. The ONLY negative part of our trip was Aruba's airport when we were leaving. It's ridiculous. It takes foreverrrrrr. We are from Atlanta so we know crazy airports lol. They give you a color code of when to check in for your departing flight and they do this for a reason. They know they take forever to get you through. Our check in time frame was 11:30-1pm (our flight left at 3:45pm). We got there at 12:20 and it took 2 hours to get to our gate. We thought it was comical how when you're standing in this looooong line OUTSIDE that takes forever, there's 3 employees with signs that say "skip the line" and what that means is paying $130 per person and they will take you to the front. There's 4 different long lines you stand in so I'm assuming they take you to the front of all the lines. We were saying how they make these lines so long so they can make more money and how if they would just put those 3 people to work this line would move way faster. Again, not a huge deal since it was just the two of us but if you have young kids, be prepared in taking snacks and whatnot. And be prepared to be standing outside in the heat for a while.

After much research and reading many reviews, we decided on the Ocean Suites hotel vs the Adult Only Marina hotel. The ocean suites property, pool and easy access to Renaissance Island was the best decision we could have made! I booked the all-inclusive breakfast package which was well worth it. We had a balcony and an amazing view which is important to us. We would have been seriously disappointed if we booked the adults only marina hotel which has no balcony, limited views and is closed in. The pool is very small. I guess you stay there if you plan to go shopping at high end stores which is the same as staying at a casino hotel in the US. Service is inconsistent throughout the hotel. The best service is at the Renaissance Island. The staff appear to have more experience. The swim up pool bar is the hotels main area for entertainment. After 7pm, there is no entertainment, however there are many restaurants in walking distance, in addition to the casino which is very clean. This is for restaurant management at Sole. It should not have taken 2 hrs to get our food, the bartender, JC knew it, realized after the fact, then apologized and gave us drink credit. Unfortunately, when this is the 1st experience, while waiting for your room, it does not leave a good taste in your mouth and not welcoming at all! The pool service is directed more to the drinkers so they can generate tips. However, the pool itself is amazing but the hotel staff do not appear as "Happy' as everyone makes it out to be. Thank you to the housekeeper, Juney who opened my door, after I forgot my key, apparently this is a "No, No," in Aruba hotels and many strict rules imposed on them. We experienced eating at Fresco, Renaissance Island and Aquarius. We found the food and buffet were much better at the Ocean Suites hotel. They have a dilemma with the birds trying to take your food. Honestly, the restaurant should be providing covers for your food, not your napkins which was annoying when you get up and find the birds are eating your food. Food at Sole & Fresco are adequate, clean & delious. There is only one bar at Fresco, nothing inside the hotel lobby, room service was great since they can bring you glasses of wine, not in disposable cups. Room service menu and prices are the same as going to the restaurant which is a really nice feature to avoid walking all the way to the Fresco restaurant bar and back upstairs. We would definitely return just to go to the Renaissance Flamingo Island and private cabana we booked ahead of time!

What a beautiful place with such hospitable people! We enjoyed our honeymoon from October 27, 2022 to November 2, 2022 at the Marina (adults only) side of the Renaissance Wind Creek. From arrival at the airport, we had no trouble getting a taxi ($21 fare) to the resort which is only a short 8-10 minute ride away. Upon arrival, we were greeted by multiple resort employees as well as given a welcoming drink. We breezed through the check-in process and were able to take our belongings right to our room. We opted for the king room with an island view and the room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping freshened the room every day which was a nice change from many hotels that have went to a policy where you have to request service. We decided to go with the all-inclusive upgrade, and it was a good decision for us. That being said if you are not a drinker the plan really doesn't make sense because where it paid off for us was our bar tabs. A word of advice, if you decide to go with the all-inclusive, dine at LG's as much as possible and request Andrey as your waiter. The food and drinks will make for a great experience, but Andrey elevates it even further. After meeting him during our first dining experience there, we went back a second night and specifically requested his table. Aquarius was a great place for breakfast and dinner both. It is buffet style dining with a cook station, and we experienced great service from Betty and Keila every day that we were there. Sole is the pool bar on the family side of the resort where we ate lunch on two occasions. Both meals were great and so was the atmosphere. The only downside is that the kitchen does not open before noon so don't go here for an early lunch. Now to the best part, the private island. We spent nearly half of every day on Flamingo Beach enjoying the best service from Sugar. After meeting her our first day there, she offered amazing service keeping our drinks full and making sure we had everything we needed. The only mistake we made was waiting until our final full day at the resort to try Papagayo Bar & Grill. It is the full-service bar and restaurant on Iguana Beach, and Lizeth served us a great breakfast. We would have gone there more than once if we had realized this earlier in our trip. I have read some complaints about the iguanas or the flamingos but in our experience, they were entertaining to observe and they did not bother us a single time. The last place that we spent a good deal of our time was at Blue Bar in the Marina lobby. Brainhem and Mark provided us great service every day as well as the other servers and bartenders. They were great to talk to and share stories with. All in all, everyone that we encountered in Aruba (tourists and residents) were great people trying to make our trip enjoyable. We will definitely be back and hope to stay in the same resort next time!

When going on vacation, we always love Aruba and staying at the Renaissance. On the private island, Melushka always provided great service in the morning for breakfast and Lemeux did a fantastic job keeping the drinks flowing while spending a glorious day on the island. Looking forward to our next trip!

my heart breaks to see how the island of aruba has been ruined with comercialization and tourism. 95 percent of the people going there now have no idea what a undiscovered piece of paradise this used to be. this place used to be like paradise. now it is like a glorified city in the USA. if people were here in the 70's they would know what i am talking about. you could walk eagle beach from the divi to the end and not see 1 person. now it is like the vegas strip especially up at the high rise. it was nice when it was just the tamarin, divi and manchebo. then the 5 high rise hotels. probably wasnt 1500 rooms on the whole island . guess most people will never know what paradise was like.

The island is amazing and the service is exquisite. All very thoughtful, specially the waitress @Melushka who is very sweet. To feed the flamingos is an unique experience, totally worthwhile! We paid the day pass which included one meal and drink and access to the structure, except for the private shack. The beach is breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the Renaissance Marina side! The hotel itself is very beautiful and freshly renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel is in prime location in Oranjestad. Also let’s not forget the reason we stayed here, RENAISSANCE ISLAND. Absolutely breathtaking beaches and of course the Flamingos. Loved our stay here and definitely will be coming back.

Aruba is the most beautiful island, and the Reniassance resort is a wonderful way to enjoy it. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of. Our highlights were the food at any of the resort/marketplace restaurants, the private island, and the ease of our stay with endless possibilities. The wildlife at the island is incredible, and the service made everything easy to enjoy. The only thing I wish is that the resort website had a campus map so I could have envisioned and made better plans. If we visit Aruba in the future, we will stay at this hotel again- it was perfect for us.
