What is included in the coupon book? Thanks
At checkin they gave us an envelope with various coupon. We didn’t use any. It was Spa, tours, casino, and various shops at the hotel. They were good coupons if you needed any of those things.

Hello, I have 2 questions about Riu Palace. We are leaving for a week vacation on Sunday of this week. Question #1 - for the evening meals, are guys required to have on dress pants for meals in the restaurants or are dress shorts allowed? Question #2 - I noticed some reviews stating that they requested certain rooms or certain areas. How do we go about doing this? Very 1st time to Aruba and want to make the best of it. We upgraded to ocean view rooms and elected for the king bed option. Any suggestions on a what area to request or specific room to request? Thank you in advance!
Theres only one restaurant that requires a button up and shoes as a dress code. The other restaurants aren't as strict with the dress code as long as you look presentable. As far as upgrading to the ocean view (in my opinion) it wasn't worth the upgrade because partial view had a great view of the ocean anyway. I went in October with my 3 month old daughter and wife and I was concerned about the safety of the country if I decided to walk outside the resort, I'll tell you its VERY SAFE to walk out lol. The boulevard is a nice strip. There's restaurants/bars/souvenir stores/ice cream shops that you can see and visit as you walk won't the strip. Unlike other countries where the vendors are down your throat to buy their products, Aruba is different. They let you walk around without hassling you. Also if you have the time you should go to the mall in the Renaissance Hotel and walk around, might break up the week a little for you this way you're not stuck inside the hotel the whole week. Everyone is very friendly, the food was awesome and I hope you enjoy Aruba as much as we did. Ill Definitely be back next year.

I keep seeing bad reviews.. I am ready to cancel! The last review stated they found a roach in their room. And there are lots of other bad reviews.. A roach in their room.. What in the world!
I strongly suggest you stay somewhere else. We have a timeshare in the RIU which was part of the previous hotel before the RIU bought and built this monstrosity. Aruban government made the RIU honor the timeshare contracts. We are here every year and this resort is in awful shape. The reviews are very accurate. Everything from mold in many areas including guest rooms (if you stay here check the ceiling fan above the bed)staff stealing from guest rooms to guest injuries from improper upkeep. There are many wonderful resorts on this beautiful Palm Beach; find another resort to stay.

Just came back last night after 8 days. The only issue I had was that the pillows are small. Had a great vacation. Food was excellent, staff is friendly and helpful.
