This was our first time staying in Aruba as we had been there before on a cruise. We chose Brickell Bay for the value. The website advertises that it is a “recently remodeled luxury boutique and has a 3-Star rating. This place is definitely NOT...More

First of all,
When booking the hotel, you're asked for a deposit of 100USD per stay. Upon arrival it doubled to 200 USD. When asked why, the answer was "because we changed it. You'll have to talk to the manager. I even showed the current...More

First off, this resort is not a resort or even a spa, it is a hotel! The bar is open on different nights. It is really loud dance music and sometimes is very crowded and sometimes it is just the regulars. Sopranos is a good live music bar and a landmark, so that is a must see. There is a Senior Frogs right around the corner, as well as another club like bar across the street. All in all, this is a great area to hang out in. Also, there are casinos in all of the hotels around that area and as long as you are playing the penny slots you can drink for free so that's a good way to start the night off. The local hot spot is called Salt and Pepper. It is just a bar but has the history and a great staff. If you bring a salt or pepper shaker with you from wherever you are from they will display it with the rest of the tourists that have brought them. The frozen Mojitos are awesome! Lastly, there is a bar that is out on the end of a pier over near the RIU resort that has live music at night and it was really fun! Aruba is VERY expensive so try and eat dinners with the early bird specials. They offer them everywhere. They have happy hour for drinks as well from 5-7 I believe. Enjoy your trip!!!! Its gorgeous!!!!

If you are a guest at the Brickell hotel there are few lounges free but in the same area you can find Marcel Sports (Saundra is the owner) where you can rent umbrella and lounges and be comfortable. At Eagle beach you can also rent but as it is a public beach without hotels on the beach I´m not sure how is the serevice there.
