We got an upgrade and we love our room! Big, confortable and neat. We can't complain.
The price was good for Palm Beach, very nice staff, great pool and so well located. Beach, restaurants, clubs and shops were just around the corner.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I totally agree with the previous reviewer...the pictures appear much nicer than it really is. They advertise an airport shuttle, free breakfast and slippers in the room. Actually you are cab dependent, the breakfast is toast and jelly...More
The hotel looks much nicer in the pictures . For the money paid for the room around 200$ you would expect something a little better. Very basic- old - terrible beds. After check out they emailed me for a 3 person charge, which I did...More
Hotel: average but clean. A room for up to three-four people does not suite more than two, tiny but comfortable beds. AC is loud and only got on/off-no adjusting. Wifi- not very fast, slow/not working in rooms and OK in reception/pool area. No balconies. Gym/fitness...More
Cut stay short. Didn't like at all. The suite was nice for the money, but I stayed in a regular room. It wasn't nice. Bellman on 1/4/2014 at night was the best thing the hotel had to offer. He was really nice. I left after...More

First off, this resort is not a resort or even a spa, it is a hotel! The bar is open on different nights. It is really loud dance music and sometimes is very crowded and sometimes it is just the regulars. Sopranos is a good live music bar and a landmark, so that is a must see. There is a Senior Frogs right around the corner, as well as another club like bar across the street. All in all, this is a great area to hang out in. Also, there are casinos in all of the hotels around that area and as long as you are playing the penny slots you can drink for free so that's a good way to start the night off. The local hot spot is called Salt and Pepper. It is just a bar but has the history and a great staff. If you bring a salt or pepper shaker with you from wherever you are from they will display it with the rest of the tourists that have brought them. The frozen Mojitos are awesome! Lastly, there is a bar that is out on the end of a pier over near the RIU resort that has live music at night and it was really fun! Aruba is VERY expensive so try and eat dinners with the early bird specials. They offer them everywhere. They have happy hour for drinks as well from 5-7 I believe. Enjoy your trip!!!! Its gorgeous!!!!

If you are a guest at the Brickell hotel there are few lounges free but in the same area you can find Marcel Sports (Saundra is the owner) where you can rent umbrella and lounges and be comfortable. At Eagle beach you can also rent but as it is a public beach without hotels on the beach I´m not sure how is the serevice there.
