What a wonderful resort! We stayed in the Bucuti building in a junior suite on the second floor. Everything was perfect and meticulously maintained. We so enjoyed having our coffee on the balcony every morning overlooking the beautiful beach. The memory foam beds were amazing. The service at the resort is impeccable. The included breakfasts on the deck at the beach were delicious and perfectly prepared. A important feature is that we were able to reserve our umbrella and chairs on the beach. It eliminates the scrambling for a space, and rushing to get to the beach in the morning to get a spot. We loved every moment of our stay at Bucuti and Tara. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning.
RECEPTION Very warming & pro welcome with bubbles ROOM We stayed in room 223 for 1 week/7 nights Great that corridors have AC Bed : very comfy Tv : big screen with plenty of channels Light switches : a bit awkward to use Storage : plenty available Absolutely 0 mold smell because of systems in room + greatly maintained Cleaning : made a remark on our first morning because stuff lying under the sink, the lady had also forgotten a filled trash bag on the dink…no issues after that ECO We really loved the reusable containers which you can take home. Actually using them now here in Bonaire BATHROOM The tv in the mirror is a nice gadget but we did not use, probably because we are European… A pity that there is no flexible hose, easier to rince (ladies) hair. Being 1.95m (6.4 ft) the shower was a little too low for me but not a big problem Aloe vera products = great and also local The position products not very practical No earbuds or shower caps in room or a note saying you can get them upon request and we did not bother asking any either. Pas de coton tiges… ou un mot disant… BALCONY Very happy to have a side view of beach and sea although we had a garden view No drying rack and we did not bother to ask. BREAKFAST - ELEMENTS You can sit outside and enjoy a GREAT view while having a good breakfast. Choice/quality is fine but : Probably introduced during Covid but really not practical, lay-out bot goid, people even queuing outside. Buffet but you cannot serve yourself. You need to take a (rather heavy) wooden tray (plateau) and ask for everything. Bacon to be ordered separately where one can also get scrambled eggs (too dry for me) and crêpes (pancakes) A lot of fruit and a nice bread choice. Separate egg station made to choice. You can order Eggs Benedict (great) and waffles (too big and heavy for my wife) from the waiter along with your hot drinks. Cappuccino is great After our very first breakfast around 8.30 am and because of the crowd, we came at 7 am each morning after which was great but everything and/or everybody was not always 100% in place.. not to be grumpy but 7 should be 7, especially being jetlagged coming from Europe. Staff not always 100% focused and as we experienced in other boutique hotels, waiters not remembering our drink choice, not a biggy but worth noting. FOOD - SANDBAR/ELEMENTS Prices : very fair Tartare avicado/mango : excellent Caesar salad chicken : excellent Caesar salad mahi mahi : ok Black olive tapenade : contained parts of pits ! One guy at the bar was only small talking to customers, nit really working Happy hour : great and on all drinks Espresso : served several times without spoon and sugar.. WIFI Excellent really everywhere IPAD Movie night : program not updated, even after calling front desk BEACH Sunbeds are reallt great ! Reservation system is great too Plenty of space Impeccable service CAR RENTAL We booked trough the front desk and got a better price then directly with Top Drive TIPPING Same experience where the market is dominated bu US customers… In Europe, we tip for GOOD service, not just for service rendered… We sometimes felt a slight sense of trying too hard to get a tip from certain waiters… ARUBA For us, Europeans, 1 week was perfect to enjoy the incredibly wonderful beach and discover this small island. BOTTOM LINE Can we recommend Bucuti : highly, especially for couples looking for QT with each other and customers who like the feeling of being in the US but with a tropical laid back island touch.…
We love the Bucuti & Tara! It’s our favorite resort ever—the service and attention to detail are exquisite, there are umbrellas and lounge chairs for every guest, the lounge chairs get a fresh Terry cloth cover each day, the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful at all times, the beach is beautiful, the pool is refreshing and lovely, the suites are wonderful, comfortable, well-equipped, and attractive. Angela and Maddie at the concierge department are super helpful, smart, capable, and always a pleasure to deal with. The included buffet breakfast has many choices everyday, and Raina and Maria are especially friendly and always have a happy smile. The resort is adults only and peaceful, serene, and utterly relaxing. Sheer perfection every time!
We recently traveled to Aruba and stayed with friends at next door’s Manchebo Beach (loved it). Friends of ours recommended Bucuti and Tara’s outdoor restaurant, Elements. We ended up having lunch there twice; it was wonderful! All of the servers and staff were lovely and very friendly. We had Vincent as our server on our first visit and we’re glad that we had him again on our second. He remembered us and made us feel so at home even though we weren’t staying there. The lunches are very good, with something for everyone, including vegan and vegetarian options. The burgers and BLTs were delicious as were the fish tacos and chicken caesar salad. Don’t miss the french fries, which are included with many items. Whether sweet potato or regular, they were piping hot and so yummy! As Vincent softly sang, “We are Family,” that’s how we felt. Also his mantra of happy wife, happy life made us laugh. Lastly he took orders from us gals “the bosses” and then the men, “the assistants.” It was all tongue in cheek, of course, and very sweet. If we return to Aruba we will definitely seek out Vincent again at Elements and hope to stay at B&T sometime, too!…
Very relaxful, quiet place that made our first trip to Aruba a memorable one. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and top notch! A wonderful place to rid yourself of stress, while remaining conveniently close to restaurants and various activities.
This was our third trip to Bucuti and Tara, the first since the pandemic. The resort has multiple upgrades since our last visit especially the pool and Elements restaurant. We had dinner twice at Elements and it was excellent both times. This is a quiet, relaxing adults only resort. There is no loud music or noise. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful in all areas of the resort. We will be back next year.
An absolute gem, away from the hustle and bustle of Palm Beach or Oranjestadt. The beach is magnificent, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding. If you are looking for a private couples vacation on Aruba, this is the place
Everything at Bucuti & Tara met or exceeded expectations. Every need we could have was met, with staff taking the initiative to make sure we were making the most of our stay in Aruba, always offering to schedule tours, taxis, etc. Highly recommended!
The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds and room were immaculate and the service was excellent. We especially enjoyed Happy Hour each afternoon. So relaxing and fun. Go here if you want excellent service and a beautiful beach.
This was our 19 consecutive year staying at the Bucuti. Great hotel, great staff, great restaurant. Also great location mid-way between Palm Beach and downtown. Looking forward to returning this December.
