Welcome to our eco-friendly, beach front rental homes located on the private and unspoiled island of Barbuda. These secluded, self-contained Caribbean villas offer a relaxing and intimate holiday vacation for those looking to getaway and experience some of the best beaches in the world! We now have 4 newly constructed 1 bedroom cottages right on the beach !
Barbuda Cottages was an incredible escape for our family ~ we could feel the stress melting away the moment we arrived. We stayed in the two bedroom/two bath Green Cottage which is well equipped with everything we needed. The cottage was a few steps from the beach and listening to the waves while drifting off to sleep was a highlight for me.
Kelcina, Oliver and the entire team are truly amazing at making all guests feel welcomed and spoiled. Spectacular customer care! Kelcina assisted us in making reservations, reserving transportation, and also connecting us with a taxi on Antigua on our way home. We appreciated that the property is eco-friendly using solar power, etc.
The onsite restaurant, Uncle Roddy’s has a delicious selection of food and drinks. We ate lunch and dinner there on several days. The menu was extensive enough that we were able to try several different dishes ~ all very yummy. Two of us are vegetarians and we had enough choices as well.
Thank you to Kelcina, Oliver and family for taking great care in making our stay so special. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to stay there and are already plotting our return visit. For now, our amazing memories & photos will need to suffice until we go back!

If you are a world traveler, this is a must for your bucket list. If you just love the Caribbean, turquoise water, white sand beaches where there’s never a crowd,.this is also a must. I chose Barbuda Cottages for my birthday to get away unwind and be surrounded by nature. I could not have picked a better place in the world to come with my best friend and be off the grid and truly relax. I give the family run business 10 stars because they are so accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly !! They were very helpful from the moment I got off the plane in Barbuda to my Adventures including Princess Dianna Beach and the pink Sand Beach beach excursions I love the restaurant Uncle Roddies. The view is amazing. Looks like something out of a movie and they have a great bar in the evening with live jazz music some nights. The only thing I could have asked for was a couple more days but I will be back! Treat yourself. Life is short. If you deserve a reset this is a place for you.

After over a year of ongoing stress, the need to getaway was intense despite already living in the beautiful island of Antigua. With no desire to encounter the rigmaroles and cost of Covid testing, Barbuda was the perfect answer.
We chose Barbuda Cottages and can confidently say that we would choose nowhere else when we return, which I am sure will be very soon. Our next trip, however, would definitely coincide with every night that Uncle Roddy’s restaurant is open as we had one of the best, most delicious and affordable meals ever and wished that we could have dined there every night!
Kelcina is the perfect host, very accommodating and attentive yet leaving you the utmost space to just be. We wandered around Barbuda, doing as little as possible, having visited before. But couldn’t resist visiting the world renowned Nobu, a magical international culinary experience set on the most secluded, pristine fine sand beach in the world, the famous Princess Diana Beach. We also took the boat over to Barbuda Belle for lunch, five star luxury at its best.
Barbuda Cottages is the perfect base for a stay in Barbuda, would highly recommend just as long as there is space for us when we are ready to return!

Barbuda Cottages should be on everyone’s bucket list. If you want a remote, peaceful vacation where you can truly unwind, this is your place. The cottages are very comfortable, the bed linens so soft, and the location on the beach is magical. Oliver and Kelcina are excellent hosts! Uncle Roddy’s has excellent food and unbeatable service. We stayed at Kelcina’s cottages for two weeks in February with our 3 young kids and occupied all 4 cottages with all of our family both young and old. The cottages were very comfortable and well equipped. The food at Uncle Roddys is fresh local and delicious! Kelcina and her family and staff make it a very special experience for everyone. The kids loved visiting the turtle sanctuary each day and playing and swimming at the beach which is steps away from the cottages. The location is secluded and quiet but also accessible to town and not far from Princess Diana beach. We will never forget our wonderful stay and we hope to return!

This place was perfect for our family. We stayed 4 nights in the yellow cottage and it fit our family of 6 perfectly. The hosts are extremely responsive and go above and beyond with helpfulness from anything we needed, or advice on places to go on the island. The restaurant is wonderful and a 10 second walk away. Great food options for adults and kids. The beach is very private, decent snorkeling, and they provide kayaks and paddleboard to use. As well as a private cabana area with comfortable beach chairs and shade. It was perfect for adults only, or with kids, as I can't see anyone not loving their stay here. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed at the cottages (blue one) for 4 nights mid January. The cottages themselves are wonderful, equipped with everything you need. The setting on the beach is really nice with wild horses and donkeys around and beautiful sunsets to boot. The fact the cottages don’t have A/C was not an issue as there is a wonderful cooling breeze at night. We ate breakfast in our cottage, packed a picnic lunch every day with groceries we brought from shopping at the Epicurean store in Antigua and ate our dinners at Roddy’s on site. The grocery stores are very limited from we saw on Barbuda so I would shop ahead. Oliver and Kelcina were wonderful hosts; helped us with many aspects; they arranged a car rental (which you will need to discover Barbuda); saved our butts when the ferry Barbuda Express suddenly changed their schedule and were full of good advices on what to go see( Princess Diana Beach, Spanish Point, two foot bay, boat tour etc). Barbuda is pretty unique and laid back and not for everyone ( not a party place or a lot of infrastructure ) but we enjoyed it thoroughly. A couple tips: Save yourself time and potentially your stomach and take the flight for the $25 difference. The ferry ride was horrendous! Also we took the emed COVID tests with us and the cottages have great WiFi, we did the video call without any issues.

Barbuda is truly an unspoiled paradise. Such a short jaunt from Antigua but feels miles away. Kelcina and Oliver are unparalleled hosts and truly made our holiday amazing. Including providing a hat for someone who forgot theirs! The cottage was perfect and very well equipped with everything you need. Falling asleep with the wind blowing through the screened windows and the sound of the waves made sleeping true serenity. Although the beaches are public there were days we were the only ones there! We truly can’t say enough and feel blessed to have had this opportunity to visit such a unique place. And we cannot forget to mention Nelson making us cocktails and providing conversation, Ashante for cooking us phenomenal meals at Uncle Roddy’s. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose, food or drinks! And thank you to Jay for delivering us wings and beer on the beach! If you need a car speak with Chris, he will hook you up and get you going! Thank you for the amazing memories!

We have just returned from a three weeks’ stay at Barbuda Cottages,
Words can’t properly describe what a heavenly place this is. The cottages are beautifully appointed, modern and equipped with everything you need. The views are sensational, the sounds of the waves designed to send you to sleep and the sense of tranquility and remoteness a rare treat.
We loved the beach with its incredible swimming and long beach walks beckoning in both directions.
We strongly recommend hiring a jeep for your stay so you have complete independence to whizz into the village and visit Princess Diana beach etc. Also, you must visit the frigate bird sanctuary and the sinkhole. Kris can organise the jeep hire and trips and he does so with the utmost ease and aplomb!
We loved the on-site restaurant Uncle Roddy’s. The chef is superb and Roland, the lovely manager, is across everything. Nelson makes terrific cocktails and conversation.
Barbuda is a truly special island. There are development plans afoot but Barbuda Cottages will remain an unforgettable slice of paradise.
Kelcina and Oliver, thank you so much for your kindness and unfailing hospitality!

Over thirty years ago, I fell in love with the island of Barbuda & the people and over the years came to know about this special little paradise. I had not seen Barbuda Cottages since it was rebuilt after hurricane Irma but was so excited to see the website and what had developed. I am writing this review because I feel the owners Kelcina and Oliver & staff, capture the essence of the island & people. The cottages are low key, peaceful, and all one needs in one of the most pristine settings on earth, undisturbed by any intrusions other than the sound of lapping waves, morning doves and the occassional donkey passing by. What is stated and shown on the website is quite accurate- accomodations are spotless, meals you won't forget, endless deserted beaches, an island and people you'll always remember. And hands down, the most caring and knowledgeable owners & staff you'll ever meet. So IF you've never been to Barbuda, you should. Unfortunately, I had to depart after being there only a few days due to the virus. I look forward to a return visit one day only to experience the hard work and love that no doubt continues to make Barbuda Cottages, Simply the Best place to stay.
