Thank you for your feedback. Hilton Barbados Resort sits on the island’s peninsula with ocean views all around and is in close proximity to places of interest, which makes the resort the ideal location for a relaxing stay. We do feature an amazing dive shop at the resort, Barbados Blue, offering easy access to scuba diving, turtle tours and non-motorized water sports. For pool, beach, and excellent service you choose the right location. Hope to welcome you back again soon. Sincerely, Allison

Hotel's Favourite
Here on our last day about to checkout all I can say is all the staff were so friendly & hardworking always welcome us with a smile. We couldn’t work out or room coffee machine but the wonderful Richard in room service sorted it out & got us ice . Robert & Regina & the young Nicholas at the pool area were so nice really made our stay happy. Our room was lovely always clean & the staff worked very hard which we really appreciated. The kind receptionist printed off all the numerous bits we need for our flight back . Yes the hotel is dated however the beautiful welcoming staff made it special. Thank you for making our post Covid holiday easier

I stayed 7 days in November 2021 as a solo traveller. The hotel is in a great location. It has ample car parking facilities which do not require any extra charge which I found useful as I had a hire car The hotel is modern and has a large reception and good lifts. I stayed on the 6th floor. The check in process was a bit arduous as there was a significant wait/queue and insufficient staff available The room was really great. It was perfect for me. It would work well with a couple. I enjoyed staying there a lot. It was nicely decorated and the bed was enormous. Everything about the room was excellent. I noticed a few wheelchair users and it seemed to me that it would be good for a wheelchair user because of wide paths and lack of gravel. The rate of Covid is high in Barbados at the moment and there are a lot of restrictions in force so mask wearing in all common areas of the hotel is required and enforced. some people will like that. others may find it a bit annoying but it is not really the fault of the hotel, they have to comply with regulations The hotel has two very large pools. there is plenty of seating and a pool bar. there is access to the beach which is great. the sea was great to swim in. there are a couple of peddlers on the beach but not persistent or scary. I ate in the lighthouse restaurant a couple of times. I would rate the food as moderately good. Barbados seems to rely on imports so the cost of food is (in my opinion - high). I did not have breakfast there at all. I measured the speed of the room wifi at 5 MB/second. You can pay more for better wifi but for a week it was a lot of money. I was worried the wifi was not fast enough but actually I was able to use it ok for video calls and working remotely. The hotel is large and would be good if you had a large group of people with you as they are big enough to accommodate. I found a week was enough. The weather was good - it was 28-31 degrees C every day including at night. there were frequent small rain showers. I did not use the gym facilities but they seem ok I did not use the spa facilities. it looks ok but again is v pricey. I would have used it if the cost was more reasonable. overall I was happy with my stay. the staff seemed friendly. there is little I would say needs to be improved. I am quite picky. I would recommend it. there is a little shop which sells drinks and pastries near reception which I did not use

We’ve learned not to rush a cruise. We arrived in Barbados several days before joining our ship. The Hilton Barbados is an absolutely excellent property. The vast majority of public spaces are outside, but not To worry. The temperatures are in the low 80s with breeze by day, and in the low 70s with breeze by night. The hotel is at Needham’s point, which until recent years guarded access to the Port of Bridgetown. There is a now deactivated lighthouse on property, and Charles Fort, named after King Charles II, is also on the property. HINT…take in the sunset from the fort, it’s beyond beautiful. The rooms are absolutely what you’d expect from a front rank Hilton: Everything is comfortable, everything is clean, everything works! Food and beverage: Not every venue has reopened yet. That said, the breakfast room, with indoor and Al fresco dining, is doubling as the main dining room. There is a bar, with pub grub, there is a poolside/beachside bar with pub grub from the kitchen, and a selection of grilled foods noon to 5 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. THE GRILLE, which is the signature restaurant of the property, expects to reopen very soon. Water options: There are two deep pools, a whirlpool, a kids wading pool, and a beautiful sandy beach. For you: A spa, (we had couples massage), a nail place, a jewelry shop, a guest gym (Peleton and Precor equipment), and a coffee and urgent items store are at immediate hand. There is a kids center, there is also on site COVID testing. Mostly, this is an American Plan hotel. There are some rates for a Continental breakfast (and frankly, we did just fine with the Continental). The Hilton Barbados is most certainly NOT an all inclusive. Issues: Anything I thought management should know I’ve discussed with them 1/1. This is a great hotel, and I have absolutely no reservation recommending it to you!

I stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend for 7 nights in November. Before arriving, I couldn’t help but notice that reviews in the last year or so were quite mixed. I’d read lots of poor comments about the tiredness of the hotel, the staff and various other things; so I was intrigued to see the reality. The hotel is enormous, for starters. During non covid times I think there’s 3 restaurants and a couple of bars but currently there is only one restaurant running and one bar. The food is reasonable quality and you can have a decent meal, but it’s nothing remarkable. My girlfriend has coeliac / celiac disease and so required gluten free food and the hotel and staff were very good with this and there were multiple options to have for all meals. No complaints here at all. The food (and especially drink) was quite overpriced vs the rest of the island though. I guess this is expected at the Hilton though. The hotel beach area isn’t great for swimming but there’s certainly a small area you can have a paddle although the waves are quite strong. The hotel pool area is nice and spacious and there’s a nice bar by the pool. The room was spacious, clean and functional. By no means luxurious but the aircon was good and we were very comfortable. No complaints on the room. I read reviews complaining about the quality of the staff prior to arriving. In my experience, 90% of staff were extremely friendly and very hospitable. However there were a handful of staff that were surly and borderline rude at times. I guess this is expected in a large hotel though. The hotel is well located - it’s a 20/25 taxi to the airport and is close to all the things we wanted. Carlisle Bay and Rockley Beach are both very close to the hotel and are two of the best beach areas on the island. On balance - I would come back and stay here and would recommend to others. However it’s certainly not the perfect hotel, especially given times of covid with reduced service.
