Completely enjoyed the 3 bedroom, 3 bath apartment at Sand Dollar. We were a one minute walk from climbing into the ocean. The dive site out front is one of the best on the island. The gal in the office was very helpful and allowed us to have a late checkout since we had a late afternoon flight!

We’ve been coming to Bonaire for 22 years and for a while, in the early 2000s, felt that the Sand Dollar was falling into disrepair. We decided to try it again in 2020 and are pleased and impressed with the obvious improvements to the grounds and the condos. WiFi is solid with a access point in each condo (so your teenagers won’t feel isolated) and the bathrooms in the two condos we stayed in were completely redone and very European. Checkin was a breeze, daily beach towels are available at no additional charge and housekeeping does a good job. The main living rooms now have A/C and a fan so everything is cool and comfortable. The bedrooms and living rooms are quite larger than the neighboring resorts. There are two restaurants within a two minute walk. The Dive Friends dive operation and dive dock are second to none. All-in-all, a positive experience.

Thanks for trusting us and checking us out again! As you say, in the early 2000's, as an older accommodation, Sand Dollar was in danger of losing it's appeal and the loyalty of many guests. The owners listened and over the years have completed all the improvements you mentioned, from renovated kitchens and bathrooms, private wi-fi, air conditioning throughout the condo, new screens on the porches, careful landscaping of the gardens and so much more. What we now offer is the advantages of an older resort - spacious condo and grounds - with the amenities of a more modern resort - updated kitchens etc. And of course our partnership with Dive Friends means your dive facilities are also updated and carefully thought out. I love Sanddollar and always stay when we go to Bonaire. They have great 1-3 bedroom condos that are clean, have full kitchens, and the staff is very helpful in anything you might need on your travels. It has one of the best dive sites right on their property as well (Bari Reef).

We have been to Bonaire 8x and have always stayed at Sand Dollar. We have checked out other locations but Sand Dollar always comes out on top! Each unit has a great view of the sea, we love the lanai, the walk-in shower, and the proximity to the ocean...just steps to the sea wall. Easy steps into the water for oldies like us, makes snorkeling easy, and there is a fresh water shower right there for a quick rinse afterward. We spend each evening just relaxing by the sea wall, very quiet, unhurried, security guards walk by each evening, all in all it's just wonderful. You can park your car or truck close to your condo. Seems like most other locations, there is a large parking lot and many steps to the accommodation.

We gave Delfshaven a 5 star view after our stay Mar 19. Right after our stay they shutdown ripped all floor titles, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and replaced with all new. If I could give it a higher rating I would. The unit stands out from all the others based on the size, the location and the best view on the island. Dealing with Monique is always a pleasure and this year we had the opportunity to meet her and her husband on the island, and learned this master craftsmen did all tile work himself. The location of sand dollar is perfect, near great diving and snorkeling if you want a change from walking fifty feet to the water in front. We had a minor issue with the safe I believe it was my doing but Barry the property manager was quick to respond. This was our second stay and hopefully many more to come.

We always stay at Sand Dollar when we visit Bonaire. The location is wonderful, on the waterfront at Bari Reef. It's so fun and easy to do night dives from the Dock at Dive Friends with is almost on the Sand Dollar Property. There's a lovely pool and spa at Eddy's nearby, and a small white sand beach. The sunsets are spectacular and the people, owners, visitors and managers are friendly and helpful. We've never had a bad time. We like the Ride-to-the-Reef package which includes a sturdy pickup truck and unlimited fills!

This was my third Bonaire holiday staying at Sand Dollar and was the best experience in terms of service, cleanliness and convenience. We arrived on the waning days of February 2023 and stayed for two full weeks. First, location. Bari Reef offers some of the best snorkeling on the island and over the 12 years I have visited Bonaire, the coral and diversity of fish has improved. It is gratifying to find a place where tourism has not displaced natural beauty. The walk to the water was only 75 feet from the door of our screen-enclosed porch. Descending into clear aquamarine water from the convenient ladders made it easy for both young and old to access the water. There are other great dive sites on the Island, but access can be tricky and parking at the best ones is often crowded. Cleanliness. Our condo, we have visited before, and this time everything was vastly improved, from the fully screened porch to the renovated bathrooms to the appointed kitchen where all appliances worked and the assortment of pots pans and utensils was everything we needed. Gloria arrived twice a week to replace towels, clean floors and make sure everything was in its place. Even our coasters were artfully arranged on the coffee table. We dislike air conditioning, and the persistent but appreciated trade winds blow in a lot of dust. To clean the floors and dust the furniture was a big task and the condominium was spotless after cleaning. The office staff was always helpful with questions about schedule, internet service, replacing burned out lights, and repairing a closet clothing rod. Service arrived promptly and repaired everything that day. The grounds are tidy and sustainable, with a few condo gardens well curated by the owners. It is always a pleasure to see Robert dusting the chaise chairs or waiting our table at the nearby restaurant, Eddy's. His welcoming smile was one of the first we saw on our arrival and the last I saw as I was recycling our glass bottles. He was genuinely sad for our departure and I was genuinely sad to be leaving, so pleasant was our stay.

We have been going to Bonaire for 13 years, often staying at Sandollar condominiums. Our stay this winter in condo B7 what are most comfortable and enjoyable visit to date. The condo was beautifully renovated and immaculately clean with an ocean view from the large screened lanai. The sunsets were amazing. The condo has very comfortable furniture, excellent WIFI, 2 flat screen TVs, a CD player, and lots of books and games. The owner of the condo, Louis Petrich, was very available electronically and was a generous and kind host. Sand Dollar is conveniently located with restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. There is an excellent dive shop next-door and Sand Dollar has one of the few sand beaches of any resort as well as access to one of the best shore diving sites.

We stayed for about a week in March 2024. Just two of us. We had a condo with basically one large room with side bathroom, kitchen area and bed/living area. Perfectible acceptable to us. Had everything we needed.
Since we were here for diving and snorkeling: there is one small sandy beach area on the property to enter the water easily. The walkway on the beach side of the condos had a couple access steps directly into the water; there were several convenient showers along the walkway.
Just south of, and adjoining, the property, was the Dive Bonaire dive shop associated with the San Dollar. Although there is a fence separating the two properties, there is a gate so SD residents can go directly between the dive shop and the condos. The dive shop had a dock that was very convenient for scuba and snorkel access to the water. Really liked that!
Only minor improvement would be a pool. There is one at an adjoining restaurant, but that was kind of awkward.
We would watch the sunsets of the walkway every evening.
We would definitely go back again.

While the pool at Eddy's Restaurant is a bonus (Margaritas by the pool side anyone?), the sandy beach and calm entry appeals more to most people for swimming and chilling. We have been travelling to Bonaire for a number of years staying in different places but over the last 10-12 years we have been at Sand Dollar. We like the home feel of the condos and the beautiful view from any one of the rooms you stay in! Diving is easy and the best reef on the island right out front! We’ve enjoyed meals at Eddy’s and Bits and Bites and the number of restaurants within walking distance. The employees at Sand Dollar are the best. Always attentive and friendly. Absolutely! Standard occupancy is 4 people and you can add a baby under 2 years of age. We also have a baby cot (crib?), baby bedding and a high chair if needed. You and baby will love our sheltered sandy beach! :)
Though owner is best. Units vary heavily because privately owned so the only way to have any assurance of what you might get is to do through owner. Highly recommend sand dollar though. Dive Friends shop is always great.
There are more places to choose from in the Kralendijk area.
