Just spent a week at the Summer Dreams Ocean Club and was very pleased with my experience. This is a small boutique hotel--5 rooms only. All but one has an ocean view. My room was very clean, comfortable and spacious enough for all of my dive gear. The owner, Lars, was extremely accommodating, not to mention an excellent chef! If you're looking for something quiet, on the beach, with possibility to dine onsite, this is a great option.

We spent a week in March and everything was just perfect. We have two boys (6 and 8) and the all familly had a lot of fun.
There is a small beach but this is so private !!! You can dive or snorkel from there.
The owner and lovely staff were very nice. You can have diner and this is like being home. Food is awsome.
Lovely breakfast.
The view cannot be better. The hotel is truly right on the ocean. You can see Klein Bonaire island right in front.
The room was nice, large and very comfy.
Ocean view. This place is so quite!
We will probably go back.
If you want true relaxing time, get out of your crazy daily work then this is the place you need to go my wife loved it and so the boys.
Thanks,

Attention all snorkelers and/or free divers....or anyone that just loves sitting by the ocean and relaxing! I just returned home from spending a week at Summer Dreams Ocean Club, and it was extremely difficult to leave! I am an avid snorkeler, and this place was perfect. There are so few "sandy" places in Bonaire where you can just walk into the water without struggling with the "iron shore", but Summer Dreams has its own little beach where you can sit down in the shallows, put on your gear, and take off. Within a few feet of shore, and in only about 3 feet of water, I immediately started seeing beautiful huge parrotfish. If you are a diver, the drop off wall is literally a few fin kicks away! The grounds and interiors of Summer Dreams are beautiful; rooms done in "IKEA" style, awesome bathrooms, and lots of space to lounge, including your own little patio overlooking the ocean. If you like to be away from it all, get room 7 at the end of the compound. There is an AWESOME area right outside your door that has a rinse station for your gear, a heavenly "rainfall" water shower to rinse you and your suit, and then a great "cage" with lots of hooks, etc to hang your gear. The entire place is surrounded by a tall rock wall so you feel safe leaving your gear outside. You also are mere STEPS away from the beach entry, which means you fall asleep at night to the sound of the ocean. Once in the water, if you turn right, you can snorkel/dive the entire Bachelor Beach with ease. The hotel is really close to the airport ( 1/2 mile?) and a taxi is $10. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate you, and my sweet housekeeper kept the room shining. You will need a car to get around the island, which can be arranged through the hotel. I had everything packed early the morning I was leaving, and just couldn't stand it.....so I jumped in for one last snorkel!! It was heaven. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this place!

We are coming now for a long time on Bonaire and we were very excited to hear that this private house became an hotel because the location is absolutely fabulous: the view from the terrace to the bay and the little city of Kralendijk is amazing.
So, we went there the first time for the lunch. We looked during 10 minutes for somebody... no one... so we went away... a few months later, we tried again... there was only a girl who told us "no, I don't know where the "chef "is but the restaurant is closed... het third time , a guy told us that the cook was shopping and he didn't know if he should come back at time for the lunch...
Really , what I tell you is serious...
But we made an attempt again a few weeks ago... and guess what : the cook was there !!!!
But he told us "sorry... today I am closed..".

I am not the only one who finds that it is a very strange business...if you understand what I mean... take your own conclusion...
Anyway, if you book a room there, be aware that the cook is only shopping and not cooking...;-)))

When i visited this place in jan.2019, the place was called The Bonairian. See the reviews over there. Or read my review here:

Almost next to the airports landing strip, lies this beautiful hotel and restaurant. The few planes that land here are mostly smaller ones and were no problem for us. I even liked the few bigger ones landing so close. We stayed for 5 days and really loved it here. Besides the airport, the location at the waterfront is perfect; stunning sunsets over the sea and a small spot where you can walk straight into the water. Bring your snorkel-stuff! The tropic fish are right there.
The rooms are few but nice, clean and with a nice view; we overlooked the small pool. The beds are fine. Everything you expect is there.
Now for the restaurant: the cook Carlos is amazing. The food he prepares is allways very nice; the staff is hard working and pleasant. There is one thing though: it often takes a while to get your order. But it is worthwhile! Just sit back and enjoy the scenery.

This small resort is compact, modern and clean. It is a nice place to relax. The host is helpful and welcoming. The beach area is small and the pool tiny. The rooms are clean but lacking in character and a bit spare. We did like the ceiling fan. We did not like the two twin beds next to each other called a king. The planes come in very close to the resort since it is near the airport. We spent the first 24 hours of our vacation on premise as the airport was out of cars even though we had one reserved and it was peaceful.

Our family stayed at Summer Dreams (now renamed The Bonairian) for 5 nights, we joined them for one night as well as spent some of the days with them. The staff (Gabi, Carla and Tres) couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. They made us feel welcome even when we just visited, accommodated all of our quirky needs and did it all with a huge smile! The location is stunning, the design of the hotel is beautiful, all the seating places are extremely comfortable, especially the beds with the huge pillows! Every detail was thought out with great attention and deep understanding in hospitality. Being a small hotel, you will get a sense of privacy and intimacy which is hard to reach in the larger places.
I would recommend this as one of the best options in Bonaire, no doubt, and would return in a heartbeat!

Staying at this hotel was a unique but good experience. Very private, only a few rooms and we stayed in room 6 which was more private and looked directly over the ocean. Great little beach on the property with some snorkeling options right there. The owner, Lars was very accommodating and "relaxed". We didn't eat at the hotel as there didn't seem to be much cooking going on. The room was gorgeous but the "king" sized bed was just 2 twin beds side by side so the mattresses kept moving away from each other, a little odd. Even with the weird bed I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is one the best I have ever experienced in terms of privacy, peace and comfort. The buidling material used the decoration and the private beach just 3 feet ways from your room is just beyond anyones imagination. We had a lot of qualms about leaving and will defintitely come back soon.FOr a couple, honewymooons or a romantic break this is the very apogee of experience
The owner is a fully fledged cook and has a great business acumen but also know everything about service. He is am man of outstanding character and will do all he can to accomodate your every wish.

The beach access is small, but the snorkeling in front of the resort is excellent. I found the snorkeling at the resort it to be more plentiful than @ Donkey Beach. The resort abuts Donkey Beach and Donkey Beach abuts Bachelor Beach. Both are easy walks from Summer Dreams. Wonderful snorkeling from the resort.
