Best place to stay in Cuba. Ramiro is so friendly and convenient... he helped us in finding other places to stay for the rest of our travel and advised us on many other things. He stayed in touch with us to be sure all was going well in Cuba. Ramiro is also the only guy

Ramiro definitely helped make our stay in Havana enjoyable! The airport pick up and drop off was crucial as the Havana airport is quite chaotic outside. He provided us with all the information we needed to navigate the city and we enjoyed our morning conversations over

Response from Marshall S, Public Relations Manager at Ramiro's House

Thanks for the nice review Colleen. It was a pleasure to have you as a guest, and we're glad to hear your visit to Havana was enjoyable. It is true there are not many taxis on the street outside Ramiro's House, and this is one of the reasons our neighborhood is quiet at night. People can usually find a taxi a couple of blocks away near the Plaza de la Revolucion. From our house, many guests walk the 20-30 minutes to various locations in the city center. It is a good opportunity to see how Cubans live in their neighborhoods and walking is very safe. Hope you will visit again! Ramiro / Marshall

I travelled to Cuba on my own, and wanted to start my journey with an authentic Cuban-experience. Since I dont speak two words of spanish, and did not know a lot about the country, the best option for me was to start my visit with an english speaking, local host that can help me

"Go to Plaza de la Revolución (15min walk) to take shared taxis that will take you to the Capitolio for 20 pesos."
"Make sure you get what is advertised."
"Most people like to stay in the centre. Be advised that most Habana Vieja casas have toilet and noise issues since Cubans wake up really early, so downtown might not be a place for you if you like to sleep. Ramiros house is in a nice, calm and peaceful neighbourhood."
