It's true that the cafe outside the hotel is very lively with great music. It's also true that the pianist who accompanies breakfast and dinner in the splendour of the lavishly tiled dining room is wonderful, but there are better options to stay in Havana. We had spent 3 nights

Delighted to have stayed in a place which typifies Havana and its history. Sure, there are more polished and modern hotels, but they could just be anywhere. Staff, lovely and beautiful and all the food and drinks, really nice. Absolutely revelled in the style and aesthetics of th

Do not be deceived by the outside. Rooms are dark and cramped. Staff, especially dinig room staff, are pretty unfriendly. There are far better places to stay and eat. You can, if you wish, enjoy a roof top drink in the company of local hookers

The hotel hosts a nice rooftop bar with an amazing view over one of Havana's main squares. Great atmosphere especially at sunset. Staff is attentive and prices are moderate. They do also serve a choice of food.

HI I booked this hotel for my stay (prepaid via cancelon) since American credit cards are not accepted. How does the hotel hold for incidentals??
I gave them my UK visa credit card at check in to set up a tab for spend in the hotel, which worked OK. I exchanged GBP currency at hotel although rate is not as good as at government exchange bureaux at airport. You might get a worse exchange rate for USD. If you use cab from airport to hotel, you will need CUC to pay the driver, so you may need to change at airport.

Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant with good food and ambience to celebrate my birthday May 21 2018, near the hotel
Saludos.-

Hi im scheduled to stay at this hotel from May 20 to 22 2018 just two nights; staying in a double stardard room. What types of electrical outlets are in the hotel. Will i be able to charge my phone? Is there many restaurants around the hotel? What is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport?
Our room had US style 3 pin outlets. Wifi was good in the hotel. I was given 2 complimentary 1 hour internet access cards at check in, and bought additional at reception, 1CUC per hour. I used the white taxis which were organised by a guy who spoke good English on the left as you exit airport doors. You will need to pay 30CUC in cash. Change your money in either of the 2 offices outside on ground floor. There is exchange office upstairs but only exchanged CUC back to your currency. There are restaurants along Obispo, which is opposite the hotel on the other side of Central Park
