We only ate at the wonderful breakfast buffet but the hotel is the oldest existing hotel in Cuba and the dining room, bar area and lobby are beautiful with such incredible tiles. Beware...the buffet is only open 8-10 a.m so don't miss it! Worth a stop..lovely patio out front

Lovely location but would not recommend despite roof terrace with city views and live salsa bands on street level patio. Unhelpful and unsmiling staff at reception. Shoddy breakfast with insufficient food, empty platters, cup shortages and uncaring staff. Lovely clean

I stayed here two times in one long trip to Cuba. The first room I had was on the outside of the hotel and I could hear the band loud and clear up to the third floor. My view from the balcony was AMAZING however if you are scared of heights I wouldn't go out on the balcony.

The hotel has a wonderfully central location and is a beautiful building but we felt that there were several things that they should improve. The windows in all three rooms we had did not close properly which meant it felt as we were asleep in the busy street. The house band

A few years back stayed at this hotel. Will return to Havana for holiday, and stay at this hotel. Located near old part of the city. I had a pleasant room with balcony and found the staff to be very helpful.

I gave them my UK visa credit card at check in to set up a tab for spend in the hotel, which worked OK. I exchanged GBP currency at hotel although rate is not as good as at government exchange bureaux at airport. You might get a worse exchange rate for USD. If you use cab from airport to hotel, you will need CUC to pay the driver, so you may need to change at airport.

Saludos.-

Our room had US style 3 pin outlets. Wifi was good in the hotel. I was given 2 complimentary 1 hour internet access cards at check in, and bought additional at reception, 1CUC per hour. I used the white taxis which were organised by a guy who spoke good English on the left as you exit airport doors. You will need to pay 30CUC in cash. Change your money in either of the 2 offices outside on ground floor. There is exchange office upstairs but only exchanged CUC back to your currency. There are restaurants along Obispo, which is opposite the hotel on the other side of Central Park
