We stayed for 3 nights at the start of our trip to Cuba (before lockdown - March 2020) Maura and her husband are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Location is central and ideal for exploring. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
The moment we step out of the aircraft it was stepping into an old movie. It was a wonderful experience. We stayed at Casa Maura in the center of Old Havana. The location was excellent. We could walk to almost all the landmarks. Maura and her husband were wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great, the room comfortable and the aircon a lifesaver! We would recommend them to our friends.
Stayed twice, a couple of days at the start of our trip and a day a couple of weeks later at the end of our trip. Casa is on a third floor, there is a lift (but don't try and fit two people and luggage into it), stairs are OK. Casa is safe, clean, secure and comfortable, we stayed in the top room initially and one of the rooms on the first floor secondly. Maura is happy, friendly and helpful, English is good. The location of this Casa is next to the Museum of the Revolution and is excellently located for exploring old Havana. Recommended.
Maura was very enthusiastic and caring host. Both herself and her family were happy to help and go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The breakfast was amazing, still craving the homemade coconut marmalade. Maura and her family even took the time to make our birthday breakfast memorable with a firework and a round of happy birthday. The room was large, clean and very comfortable, just what was needed after a busy day sightseeing in Havana. Location was central and easy walking distance to many attractions and places to eat etc. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
We stayed at Casa Maura for 5 nights, 3 on arrival in Havana and 2 more nights at the end of our trip. When we returned it was like being with family. The rooms were clean and comfortable with air conditioning. The common area was also very clean. Location is very convenient, close to Museo de la Revolución, Paseo de Prado, Malecón and other points of interest. The breakfast was lovely: different fruits and juices, eggs, bread, jams (loved the guava jam) and coffee. Maura and her husband were very welcoming, warm and friendly. Maura was very helpful, she gave us directions, advice and she even made a reservation to a restaurant for us. We enjoyed the conversations we had during our stay. This was our first time in Cuba. We had such a great time and we want to go back. We will certainly stay at Casa Maura on our next visit! Thank you for your hospitality!…
