Old Spanish mansion, beautiful building with courtyard and peacocks, cigar shop on mezzanine floor, bedrooms 20 feet high, centrally situated in Havana Vieja, but poor service at breakfast, and a sense of commercial exploitation of the guests: misinformation about Mama Iñes restaurant so we would go to one they recommended, the quoted price of a taxi to Trinidad was 260...

Dear Guest: Thank you very much for your opinion, it's interesting what you say, because even though they helped with the information and the prices of travel you decide to give a bad opinion. Regards,

This colonial hotel is in the center of old Havana, a walking distance from all the principal touristic points of old Havana. The staff, specially Carlos, were very professional and friendly. The Hotel is situated on a street only for pedestrians, no cars can go in. This means that you have to carry by yourself your suitcase. Having the hotel...

I didn't stay at the hotel, but from the outside, it 's nice. The have peacocks wondering the grounds. Upstairs is where you want to go for the cigars!! My guide recommended this place for Cigars. I met one the best known master rollers in Cuba here. His name is Reynaldo. You can Google him, that's how famous he is....

The location is great. The building is historic, but not a top-tier historic building. The rooms are large. However, the hotel is overpriced for what you get. It suffers from the dull-drums of a government-run facility. The breakfast is sub-par for a Cuban hotel. The bathrooms are dated and some are suffering from mold and flaking plaster. The lack of...

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars as it is so beautiful and comfortable but the service let it down. We arrived at 1am, tired and hungry as our flight had been cancelled so we spent all day waiting around in a provincial airport. Instead of whipping up a quick ham and cheese toastie we were taken to...

I went to this hotel with my 2 sons in Oct 2014. We got in late and could not change our money to CUC's at airport. The person at the hotel desk lent us 100 CUC's until the next day. This excellent service continued for our 4 day trip. The hotel is small and homey. The rooms are very nice...

We really did not expect a great deal from hotels in Cuba. In this case the hotel was OK except they did not have hot water and did not for our entire stay. We did ask in a friendly manner but there seemed to be great indifference to our request. The room was clean, with the air conditioning resembling a...

Airport: Complete landing forms whilst waiting for luggage, be prepared for severe delays with luggage, and the currency exchange queue (the ATM is quicker). Hotel is not reachable by car as it's in the heart of Havana Vieja. But just a short walk from Plaza de San Francisco. The room was huge, clean, quiet. There were two double beds, (not...

I stayed in one of the suites at the Villanueva by myself on the penultimate day of Castro's mourning period. My inbound trip was tedious and full of hiccups, and this seemed to be a trend among my fellow group travellers that week. Account for severe delays (2.5 hours for me) with baggage and the currency exchange at Havana Airport,...

Hotel Conde de Villanueva is located in the old part of Havana where driving is not allowed. Therefore, you must be prepared to carry your luggage 200 meters from the nearest taxi-stop. Hotel Conde de Villanueva is a small but very nice hotel, which has undergone a considerate transformation from an 1800-century stately home and now presents itself with the...
