We stayed for a week last December at Hostal Angel, which occupies the third floor of Havana's former French embassy. At the front of the building, massive dark-wood doors open onto three small balconies which overlook a charming triangular plaza with a pleasant cafe and impressive church. Like the public rooms, our (blue) room was twenty feet tall, trimmed in...

This clean, charming colonial house is well-located near the Museo de la Revolucion and other attractions in Old Havana. It is kept very clean and the included breakfast is quite complete and good. The hosts are very nice, helpful people. The house is well-appointed. We learned we departed that there is a private elevator. Otherwise, it is up 3 flights...

Right in the center of things...great location. I thought the folks running it were not particularly helpful, especially since we had a problem and they kept sending us to try to solve it ourselves until we just couldn't and they solved it in a a few minutes on their phone. Sometimes it takes someone who speaks the language and knows...

Hostal el Angel is an exceptionally elegant colonial casa in a great location in Old Havana, located on a small, quiet church plaza, one block from Museum of the Revolution and away from the most crowded tourist streets. Four of us stayed in the 2-bedroom suite near the busy kitchen and we shared a bathroom. Other room options are closer...

Well located in Old Havana. Rooms clean and neat. We had to share a bathroom. There is a lovely little restaurant across on the plaza. Breakfast was good and sufficient. The whole experience was good and would recommend this casa.

Hostal del Angel was the first place we stayed in when we arrived in Cuba. It set the benchmark, and was the start of the most amazing adventure. It is in a beautiful building in a fantastic location on the edge of Old Havana. It overlooks a wonderful little plaza with a church and restaurant. What became our favourite place...

Hostel Angel is in a great part of Havana with a good restaurant within 3 meters. Many art shops and tourist sites closeby. House is beautiful and neat. Rooms are good by Cuba standards. Be warned though, you may have to share a bathroom. We would recommend this hostel.

Thank you very much for your takink the time to write your nice review. And it is correct that 2 rooms in our Hostal share a bathroom. The two rooms that share a bathroom are only rented out together as a Suite (also advised as a Suite suitable for 4 persons on our webside pradocolonial). The other two rooms have...

We booked our trip at the last moment and had trouble finding a suitable hotel. We spoke to Captivating Cuba who suggested a casa and booked this hostal del angel. Hostal del Angel came highly recommended by a relative of mine who travels often to Cuba and always stays here. This Casa is absolutely stunning with old colonial charm and equally matched hospitality. Prior to arrival we had excellent communication with the host Adi and owner Kenia making for a smooth initial arrival into Havana. Upon arrival we were greeted...
