We got sold an "upgrade" to this hotel for the last two nights of our holiday. This is supposed to be a five star hotel yet when we arrived after a seven hour coach ride from cayo coco the porters didn't even attempt to help with our bags, my partner had to carry our cases up the stairs into the... The hotel Melia Habana was a good stay. I knew what to expect when I arrived and was surprised on how good the hotel was. The staff was amazing! Adrienne was a doll. She was extremely helpful! The pool area is nice and well kept. The pool restaurant was decent. The breakfast to me had plenty to offer. The hotel... More

This hotel is so so. Perhaps good by Cuban standards, but nothing special. The rooms are spacious but I found the bed hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom is spacious but tiles are old, stained and ugly. The WiFi login/password is complex and the connection keeps dropping all the time forcing you to re-enter it. Annoying. And it's slow too. Why not... More

We stayed a The Melia Habana for 4 nights in a sea view double room. The hotel is large and well furnished with a number of different restaurants on the ground floor laid out in a village square atmosphere. The first floor and reception area has lots of different sitting areas with a bar at one end and reception at... More

What is memorably good about the Melia Habana is the several restaurants, with good food, to choose from , the spacious guestroom and nightly entertainment as well as ad hoc entertainment throughout the day. Pool was lovely but the adjacent beach was uninviting and seemed inaccessible. Built like a courtyard there are hanging plants from every floor creating the effect... More

Our group of 40 had a good experience. One of the best in places to stay in Havana. A little isolated from downtown but has great amenities. Lots of restaurants and bars within the hotel. A really great breakfast buffet. Our room was a little outdated but very comfortable and quiet. The pool area was also very nice. I enjoyed... More

Built as a 5 star the Melia operates at 3 star level and charges like a 6 star. It's saving grace is that there isn't anything much better in the area (but I haven't been to the National in years). Impressive building, nice rooms with some great views but poor finishing of tiling and the like. Whilst the hotel has... More

Our business group enjoyed our two-night stay at the Melia Havana, after having stayed at hotels closer to the capital during our previous stays. This hotel affords a more suburban feel – it’s not walkable to any of the Havana area attractions – but the luxury was worth it. My room was large and well-appointed, very modern in décor. The... Other than the bed, the hotel was very comfortable and had a nice bar, good food, convenient coffee in the morning and decent internet, even in the rooms. Nice hotel in miramar with giant lobby and lots of space. Conference rooms are cramped, wireless is expensive ($10/hr), and service in the restaurants, especially the Italian one is less than optimal (i.e. Not good). Plus food is mediocre. Biggest complaint is that the prices for the rooms are inflated. Way inflated.

“Check out the breakfast bufet”

“Beautiful, spacious rooms with nice decks. If you can get an ocean view, that would be phenomenal. The air conditioning was a little lacking but not unmanageable. You need the converter plug if you are using US made equipment like blow dryer. Blow dryer worked in bath, but cord was very short, making it difficult to use. Small issue for such a nice experience.”
