We just returned from a week at the Melia Habana, and we loved the hotel and the service. We had hot running water (which I suspect isn't totally common in Cuba!), great service and a really nice and clean room. We had three of us staying in one room for a family vacation and had a great time. The hotel...

A lovely hotel. The room was huge with a lovely view and it was very clean. My only criticism is its a little bit too far out of Havana. There is a regular courtesy bus or its £15 - £20 in a taxi into town. The staff are great and the breakfast is varied. There is a lovely big pool...

We were put up at this hotel after our Alaska Plane broke down and we were delayed for over 24 hours. Mediocre rooms, terrible food and a rusty fence stops you from getting to the ocean - in any case there is no beach. This is a three star hotel in my opinion. Service was rude - while we were...

We were in Havana for a week and stayed in three neighborhoods - Vedado, Old Havana and Miramar. Each neighborhood has its own pros and cons. Vedado has excellent restaurants in a gentrified and relatively upscale neighborhood, is close to Hotel National where you can arrange tours, bus and classic car taxis, and is a nice 30 minute walk along...

We came to the hotel with a group of 60, so our experience was not quite the average one. But the hotel is so beautiful and our room was enormous with a marble bathroom and very clean. The elevators are iffy and we were on the fourth floor, but we usually were able to get to the second floor at...

We stayed at the Melia Habana for 3 nights, the service was great, our room was lovely and clean, I particularly appreciated the bottle of bubbly and chocolates that awaited our arrival. We only ate breakfast at the hotel ( and drunk lots of Pina Colada - not with breakfast!) and found attentive service and copious choice and amounts of...

Located in the upscale area of Miramar, the Melia Habana is an old-school hotel, built on sprawling grounds by the sea. There’s a good view of the rocky seafront but no direct sea frontage. The hotel occupies an extensive area, and it was once modern and grand, but now, although it’s still comfortable and spacious, it feels a bit dated....

True, this hotel is somewhat dated and could use a facelift. Everything considered, it is by no means an inferior hotel. The property offers several dining choices. The entertainment is above average. Truly talented group of performers. One of my highlights was the pool area dining experience. Our waitress, Olga was exceptional in her service and attentiveness. At first I...

Can't fault the hotel or the staff, everything you would expect from a top notch hotel. My only complaint would be regarding the free hotel bus to town and return, does not run regularly and stops at 7pm in the evening as we were lead to believe from our tour operator that that it would be more frequent.
