We stayed two nights at the Gran Hotel. Its an older building (1939) however, the rooms have been renovated providing everything but a coffee maker and wash clothes. Guest rooms are located on 4 floors the 5th floor (top floor) is their restaurant where delicious food is served. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The city has many beautiful plazas...

The hotel was ok, the rooms were minute, the window was blocked off by the AC extractor but they were clean and there a good bathroom with a hot shower. The hotel location was good and we were able to explore quite well.

I like experiencing older hotels that reflect the culture and architecture of each country. Nothing was a surprise, smaller room, low lighting but refurbished bathroom. I was comfortable because I had a quiet room.

This hotel is definitely a 5 star hotel even by Cuban standards. But it was charming in an old fashioned way. It was build in 1939. The rooms are all surrounding the garden in the middle of the hotel. The rooms have very tall doors, window and ceilings. Air conditioning was added later by putting the unit in part of...

There's not much choice in this small (not hugely exciting) town, and I'm told this is the best hotel available. It has a kind of shabby grandeur (Artur Rubinstein and Victoria de los Angeles stayed here in happier times) but service, food and infrastructure are poor. Reception staff are appalling. Avoid a room at the front. Noise in the street...

For Cuba, this as a good hotel. It was quite large and an older hotel but it has been well maintained and still lots of old period features. The hotel is located on a pedestrian only street which made shopping and sightseeing easier since the road and sidewalks was maintained. On the first floor to the right of the reception...

We have been staying for one night only. The check-in was professional however the hotel room was very noisy - the outside air-conditioning system was switching on and off the entire night and produced enormous noise. It was impossible to sleep. The room itself was clean and bath-room was functioning ok. The service quality on the roof-top bar was very...

We recently traveled through Cuba, staying in five different hotels. This one was hands down the least acceptable, nothing else came close. The food was poor, the place was rundown, dark, dingy. The location was the best thing.

A pleasant place to stay, good restaurant and buffet, bar; rooms pleasant enough, could use updating, but adequate. Good A/C, small elevator. Nice staff. Center of town. nice plantings in the courtyard.
