I spent a week at the Level 18+ suites at Melia Internacional to celebrate a bachelor trip... From the impeccable service provided by the staff, the well maintained rooms and facilities and fully stocked bars... Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend some time to decompress and relax with their friends or family and specifically the Level suites if you have an adult group...

...We found a dying coachroach in our rooms, I am guessing it had consumed an insecticide which is a little worrying for anyone with kids... I was told I couldn’t have a Fanta at breakfast as this was only available at lunch / dinner (I figured I would be able to have a fanta any time as an all inclusive paying customer) The bed covers, pillow cases, towels and dressing gowns were stained The bath tub was marked / stained, I had to scrub it before use Cleaners were using dirty rugs, which didn’t smell the best to mop floors, and squeezing the dirty water with bare hands There is a cold water dispenser in the buffet but majority of restaurant staff insisted on serving warm water One time in a buffet, I asked if there was any white wine, I was told no, but when the couple next to me complained to the manager about the lack of wine, the wine miraculously appeared...

...For a brand new hotel the rooms smell very damp and musky especially in the entrance, wardrobe area and bathrooms. We asked to be moved as it was quite bad which they dealt with very quickly and allowed us to keep both rooms for the day so we could relax and move our things later in the afternoon... The rooms however have considerable wear and tear... Across our two rooms, the toilet was loose from the wall and floor, the drawers are all wonky and broken and smell very damp, there's signs of mould, the bathroom and shower doors were broken and the towel drying rail on the balcony was broken...

...They had to go down to the lobby to request a room change in the mid of the night, twice! Because the second room offered had the same ants problem... I did not see any live ants in our room but there were quite a few little black dots - the ants bodies on the bedding... We only booked once because all the other times when we went to line up and tried to make a reservation we were told everywhere is fully booked... I don’t understand if the hotel does not have the capacity to accommodate all the guests then there’s something should be done to address the issue...

Our room was exceptionally clean on arrival and during our week's stay, we appreciated that security politely guided intruders away from the adults only section, and a pleasant surprise was Michel, the bellhop who remembered us from our previous visits to the Melia Marina, and it was a pleasure to reacquaint ourselves, that’s Cuba!...

Not a 5 star hotel, the rooms are run down but clean, not all the appliances work such as the hair dryers so bring your own, the restaurants are continuously full for dinner and you can't get a booking, even though there are 11 to chose from and they are empty when you walk past, the booking system is done with pen and paper during the day, so if someone changes there mind and don't show up there is no way to cancel so the tables sit empty and you cannot take tha booking...

...I paid for an ocean view room and the view was ok... not what you expect when you book a room with these specifications... Also, bathrooms in the rooms have no ventilation, so they stink like humidity 24/7...

I’m only giving in a one star because I have to we are still here we checked in Friday, January 20, 2023... I’ve stayed at several resorts with many stars but for a five star hotel and the money that you’re spending it is absolutely not worth it...

...She also recommended we take in a show (extra$ but at $112 USD for 4 ppl which included drinks and snacks and a comfy sofa VIP all night was a bargain for a good time!)...

...However, despite us going with an open mind, it was soon apparent that this was not a 5 star hotel... We told 3 members of staff including the Tui Rep and a restaurant manager but nothing seemed to improve... And we spent 90 minutes in a queue to book the Christmas meal!... Flash the cash and suddenly all staff love you!... Lastly, for a country that struggles with supplies, why would you encourage guests to bring oversized reusable flasks which take 4/5 times the amount of drink than the cups given to you?...

I've been to Cuba Before But this time I decided to Splurge. The resort is a beautiful one but that is where the luxury and expense ends... The snack shack ...also rude staff would leave you sitting forever tell you they only had ham and cheese and then you would see a table of spanish people served pizza... Honestly this trip was a huge waste of money... If you want Cuba save your money and stay at a more budget friendly resort!...

The a la carte restaurants were really a joke poor quality of either pork chicken or cheap fish... Excuse excuse excuse shortages shortages well if their are shortages reduce your prices don’t charge for 5 star if you can’t provide it... Ticked Cuba off the list certainly won’t be going back...

We have just returned from an 11 night stay for our anniversary and wish we didn’t waste our money... The staff all expect a tip but don’t realise that a tip is gratitude for good service, I don’t feel it’s my job to pay their wages after already paying £3600 to stay there... Service is slow and all they give you is rum and occasionally gin if they can find a bottle!... This is a gross exaggeration and it is a 3 star at best... Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, preferably to a different island, one that appreciates how hard you have to save to get there...

However in order to get some perks of upgrading (which we did 1st trip prior) we decided to upgrade on day 4 of 7 to the Level adults only... The exclusive restaurant for breakfast,lunch, dinner snacks on adults side serves delicious meals... We loved the regular lobby bar managed by Osmany... His staff makes the best cappuccinos, espressos, cortados... As well as always serving with a smile... We had family join us the last 2 days thanks to Margarita for helping us make it happen... She also recommended we take in a show (extra$ but at $112 USD for 4 ppl which included drinks and snacks and a comfy sofa VIP all night was a bargain for a good time!)...

...You will see staff on their mobile phones everywhere when they should be supporting the guests... Cross contamination was a concern as pork being cooked with the chicken and serving spoons being mixed with different dishes etc... They only introduced Pina-Colada on my last 2 days out of a 2 week holiday!... There is not enough staff at the blue and red bar sometimes (so you have to wait for a drink)... But staff do serve you in the sit down area which is lovely... The hotel does not take Cuban dollars (only US) so bring US... A massive tipping culture is growing now (which seems to affect the service you get from our observation)... The rooms are cleaned daily but need to be mopped (to reduce ants)... Management need to realise, too many guests complained to their reps and to their staff and to each other!...

Check in was ok but impersonal and we were just told where the lift was and what floor... The buffet restaurants had a poor variety of food and my Coeliac partner had no idea what he could eat as nothing was labelled and even after speaking to the Tui Rep, we were told that having gluten free food was unlikely!... We told 3 members of staff including the Tui Rep and a restaurant manager but nothing seemed to improve... And we spent 90 minutes in a queue to book the Christmas meal!... Flash the cash and suddenly all staff love you!... Sorry, but a tip is a reward for good service not a payment up front... Two days before we left, we suddenly got beer and soft drinks in our mini bar when the rest of the holiday had been water only and some days not even that... On check out, a 'Customer Service' lady asked about our stay... Questioned about the mini bar to be told we could have had beer and soft drinks all along if we'd asked... In total, we spoke to 3 staff members and 2 Tui Reps and nothing really improved!... Lastly, for a country that struggles with supplies, why would you encourage guests to bring oversized reusable flasks which take 4/5 times the amount of drink than the cups given to you?... We never had a problem getting a drink without taking our own cups...

...The staff in these restaurants were extremely rude and arrogant... The snack shack ...also rude staff would leave you sitting forever tell you they only had ham and cheese and then you would see a table of spanish people served pizza... But this staff was so rude , eye rolling to our faces in the restaurants... A shout out to Mario in the Sky Bar , the rest of the staff could learn a thing or to from you on how to treat paying clients...

...They ran out of cups on a Sunday, so if you wanted water or drinks you could only drink them at the bar, as you're not allowed to bring glass to the beach, thankfully I had a HydroFlask with me, and the staff agreed to fill it with drinks, otherwise, I'd have to come and go constantly to hydrate... The sailing boats and SUP equipment is great and the guys are mega organized...

...It’s huge resort but somehow you are not so overcrowded, always space at the pool or at the beautiful beach, never problem with finding chair to seat. The resort is super clean and staff is really nice and helpful... Thank you Aris for keeping our room spotless!!... Thank you to our buffet staff who welcome us every day with a big smile and take a good care of us …Maureen, Lisliet, Daimarys and their supervisor Lazare Jefe... Thank you Melia for another wonderful stay, we will be back...

...We had a small child and the girls from the cuba kids club down by the pool worked with us and what we had planned with the spa. Also, we want to thank David, in the level concierge he was able to talk with the director (a Spanish guy) part of our family who was staying in the Meliá Americas where it’s only adults and kids are not allowed…... We paid for a pass for them to come in and enjoy the beach/pool with us... The staff at the hotel is nice and always checked on us to see if we needed something or had any questions... From the housekeeping staff up to The Level concierge and director level...

Every staff member provided amazing service and were very friendly, honest people who can be trusted to provide your family with the most amazing vacation experience... Other very special staff who made our stay memorable were Nana (Miryan) at the level bar with her kind smile and Anislydis (Any), Eledis, Lisliet, Manuel and Enisdel at the level adults only Mosaico restaurant... Sergio’s cuisine was enjoyed by the pool and inside the Moscaico Restaurant day and night, thank you so much for making such amazing meals every day for our family... Just to mention that both Red and blue bar personnel and especially Osmany and Liam I want to say big thank you as you guys made bar experience extra special!...

We can’t say enough about the staff at this resort... We were in the “level” category which was well worth it... Our concierge at check in “Fonseca” was extremely helpful throughout our stay but particularly on arrival when we had difficulty getting into our room... He made a point of coming to check up on us later in the evening... Oliver was also very helpful during our stay... I guess our only complaint would be the drinks at the swim up bar...

...One night we felt like having Amaretto Sours and they had no Amaretto left. The next night, they had it and were able to fulfill our wishes... One day, they ran out of milk but it was back by the next day... This is a pretty big resort so if you want the bar staff to remember you, I'd suggest sticking to the same bar... We stuck mainly to the Red lounge and were verrrry well treated by the staff there... They were very nice and they deserve praise for their level of service...

...First I would love to thank Yosley the beach bartender his service was like no other exceptional and his kindness and good heart is what kept us only going to his bar during the day for drinks. We also have to thank waitress Yiana she went above and beyond to make it happen she’s a golden employee... We stayed for 5 days due to complications with Sunwing it started our vacation off with a very sour taste but as we arrive our treatment was like no other we had the ocean view which was absolutely breathtaking and no we didn’t pay extra to get it... The rooms are super clean everything is new nothing loose or broken...

Really a nice place to stay….very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Issues with the toilet in our room 3 times we needed to contact customer service to have it repaired…tank not filling so it could not be flushed... This made the lounges n bars swamp and service was poor... It seemed only attendees were being served and hotel guests were not important... Gorgeous beach and 🌊 easily accessible… Our maid/housekeeper Arasay was fantastic, she made sure our room was spotless and always double checked to ensure we had everything we needed and more...

...Even had uncooked bloody chicken on our first night... The pool bar serves the same cheese and ham sandwiches, pizza & burgers everyday, no variety... Some days the bars serve coke, other days they don’t have it... The ice is made with cuban water, not bottled water... And when asking the waitress whether the water they serve at the buffet is bottled, she responded with no it comes out of the tap... However TUI shouldn’t advertise the package as ‘All inclusive’ when you don’t have access to all the facilities & there are many limitations and shortages of food & drink which aren’t made apparent upon booking...

...Accessible great beach, clean rooms, good food and no animals, since some family members have phobia... As a repeat client every level of mgmt as well as staff took very good care of me and my family... The Resident Manager as well as the new Food and Beverage Manager were both amazing and we got all our requests accommodated for all 10 persons... As a regular client, I got to know most staff members by name and they treat me and my friends with generosity... The waiters, Yosvani, Liannis and Eleana are amazing... The barman at the beach Level bar, Yamil, as well as the sever to the Level section Andres were all amazing... Thank you to all the staff at Melia Internacional Varadero for making our visit very pleasant...

...The hotel and rooms were recent and clean, we stayed in The Level section and it was totally worth the extra money. Andres at The Level beach bar took care of us all week, not even having to ask he would make sure we and the children had everything we needed, he really made the difference and made a feel special... Lianet was our wedding planner and she really made it all happen... We were in communication before we arrived at the hotel and she answered all my questions... It felt easy with her and she made all the stress go away right from the begining, she definetly know what she is doing and handled everything like a pro... She went out of her way to make sure our wedding was extra special... Everyone loved the hotel and staff, they are so welcoming...

This was our 2nd time at the resort and we were very satisfied as we were 1st time we visit almost a year prior. We stayed in the classic room which was still more than nice... However in order to get some perks of upgrading (which we did 1st trip prior) we decided to upgrade on day 4 of 7 to the Level adults only... The exclusive restaurant for breakfast,lunch, dinner snacks on adults side serves delicious meals... As well as offer a private pool and rooftop bar with outdoor space (after5pm)... Also if you choose Level you have access to the level only snack lounge (Family level also has access)... We loved the regular lobby bar managed by Osmany... His staff makes the best cappuccinos, espressos, cortados... The a la carte restaurants are great too... She also recommended we take in a show (extra$ but at $112 USD for 4 ppl which included drinks and snacks and a comfy sofa VIP all night was a bargain for a good time!)... All in all we highly recommend Melia Internacional Varadero to anyone who wants to vacay on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and not have to worry about food shortage or cleanliness as there was always plenty of decent food and rooms and hotel is super clean!...

...The beach is very nice, the pools are awesome, the staff very warm and friendly. The entertainment was for the most party very good with live performances everyday, as well as entertainment at the beach or in and around the pools...

...First time we visited in April and we liked this resort a lot so we come back on Dec 1 to 8 th. It’s huge resort but somehow you are not so overcrowded, always space at the pool or at the beautiful beach, never problem with finding chair to seat... The resort is super clean and staff is really nice and helpful... A lot of choice to eat at the buffet and I assure you you will never get hungry... Thank you to our buffet staff who welcome us every day with a big smile and take a good care of us …Maureen, Lisliet, Daimarys and their supervisor Lazare Jefe... I really like the idea of the resort having own vegetable and herbs garden on the terraces you will enjoy Mojito with fresh mint every day...

...They ran out of cups on a Sunday, so if you wanted water or drinks you could only drink them at the bar, as you're not allowed to bring glass to the beach, thankfully I had a HydroFlask with me, and the staff agreed to fill it with drinks, otherwise, I'd have to come and go constantly to hydrate... Massive plus, the beach stand!... The sailing boats and SUP equipment is great and the guys are mega organized...

...I was in a 4* in Varadero last year and you could always find something nice to eat, sometimes shrimps or salad or steak and french fries, or some pasta, etc... The Melia International was missing it all: they don’t have chicken, beef, shrimps, decent fish, pasta of all sorts, french fries, orange juice, lemonade...

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience for our family... Sergio’s cuisine was enjoyed by the pool and inside the Moscaico Restaurant day and night, thank you so much for making such amazing meals every day for our family... Thanks to Alexis at the level beach bar for daily BBQs of chicken, ribs and vegetables... Capri Bar roof top views so special... The Jr Suite Ocean view at the Level was exceptionally nice...

This is probably the nicest resort in Varadero. It’s new, clean, beautiful and has wonderful staff... Rosalba will keep them dancing in the evenings and during the day, Chabelys, Bebe and Ricky will engage them with face painting, quizzes, dancing, mini chefs and more!...

It was amazing vacation at this resort for our family. It was nice greeting starting from the lobby and check-in process to going to the modern room... Buffet and a la carts were great, surprisingly pasta and French fries for kids were absent on the hot plates, other than that food was great and our picky eaters were able to have their meal... Gardens were greatly maintained and greeted by the gardener when being seen... Pools were great for adults, kids and toddlers including their waterpark for kids... Entertainment and beach activities were great with stuff always engaging to aquafit, volleyball, and many other pool activities... Bar personnel were efficient and knowledgeable on their end, sometimes drink selection were limited, but nonetheless other options were offered... Just to mention that both Red and blue bar personnel and especially Osmany and Liam I want to say big thank you as you guys made bar experience extra special!...

...People are wonderful, country is safe and beaches are spectacular... The resort has two main buffets and they had an odd way of splitting guests between the two... Getting a second room key was challenging...

...Mostly everyone else on the staff work very very hard to ensure everyone is taken care of. Entertainment definitely needs a seperate space they try to be creative and do stuff around the pool and different areas but frankly there just isnt enough seating for everyone to enjoy anything they do which is the only downside... All their a la carte restaurants are good... Make sureyou order the lobster dinner that is also very good... Their lounges and bar areas are very nice and have great views... Blue bar at night is amazing they by far made the best drinks[night staff]... Breakfast is ok lots of pastries but Lunch gets very repetitive and doesn't hit right... The fact they dont stock mini bars with beer and pop is also very dissapointing for a luxury resort, this is something thats even done at 3 star resorts... Rooms are reallly modern and have double huge showers and the jr suites have an amazinggg view... Really couldnt ask for better beaches... Overall this resort is aboslutely stunning... The rooftop bar is so breezy and amazing at night... The Blue bar is open 24 hours which i haven't seen at any other resort... Contrary to what people said i seen people cleaning the pool areas at night and early mornings Also the level upgrade in my opinion isnt worth the price difference you dont get much much more unless your adults only ...

...It is beautiful resort with several pools and an exceptional beach. We found the buffet to offer a wide variety of foods and we were able to dine in all of the a la carte restaurants... The location of the resort makes it an easy walk on the beach or the road to Veradero... We had a beautiful ocean view room... The “level” also gives you access to a small bar and eating area where we found the best gin and tonics... Our concierge at check in “Fonseca” was extremely helpful throughout our stay but particularly on arrival when we had difficulty getting into our room...

...We booked four rooms in total for all of us... Varadero beach, specially the beach area in front the hotel is amazingly beautiful... The sand is so white, the water is so clear and warm, despite the rain... The rooms and the hotel in general were clean... Three meals a day with extensive variety of different dishes, very well cooked for the most part... I want to take this opportunity to send especial thanks to Daimaris, Greisy and Lisliet ( waitress of the Buffet) for all the excellent service, kindness and extra care... Including bulb-lights we’re missing in the room and elevators out of services... The location of the Space Club has a lot of potential to become in the place to go after the night show for all those people that would like to keep dancing and partying... Hopefully they keep up with the good service, good food and good hotel maintenance...

...They have broccoli and cauliflower for breakfast, inedible fruit whatever it is. We never had a hot meal all the time we were there... The pool area looks lovely but there are broken tiles all over and we even followed a trail of blood one day... We had to request our room to get cleaned one day as nobody had bothered to come and also had to ask for towels on 2 occasions... The hotel is advertised by TUI as being 5 star...

Melia Internacional Varadero is possibly the most beautiful and grand resort in Varadero area... Food and drinks were very good taking into consideration the shortage of supplies of all kind that the country is going through... Shows and recreation activities go through the whole day giving guests a great time... Definitely a great experiences and a place to repeat without a doubt...

We spend two weeks of wonderful vactation at this hotel. We have booked the execuitve level, which allowed us to enjoy several additional services... Such as the beach bar, and the additional pool bar and a snack bar... Espescially we would like thank Andreas and Yamal from the beach bar, for there high level of service... Future travellers should always keep in mind thtat resources are very limited on Cuba, therefore the selection of food and drinks is on a very proper level... We would stay there again, as the staff is always helpful and very kind, wonderful beach, and the overall appearnce is very good...

...This was our first time To cuba we travelled from Scotland Uk we stayed in the adults only had the most beautiful spacious room looking directing on to the sea. The staff were all amazing especially Dayami and Andy on the level concierge and Doremis who attending to our every need... They were always friendly and professional the choice of restaurants were first class especially the Japanese restaurant... The beach is the best beach we have been to, nice and quiet and the pool ans pool bar restaurant was good, always had a good choice of food even if you just wanted a light bite and refreshing soft drink or Prosecco we hope to come back next year... Cuba is now our fav holiday resort...

Everyone loved the hotel and staff, they are so welcoming...
