We chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews which promised us what we wanted on our Varadero holiday. For us, peace,quiet and plenty of space. No worries about finding a sunbed on the beach or a table for dinner. All the advantages of a smaller hotel with some luxurious touches. Our room had a mini terrace with sunbeds and a jacuzzi which we enjoyed in the evenings as we gazed up at the stars... And a smaller hotel meant that the staff got to know us very quickly. Zuri and Sergei anticipated our needs, bringing us drinks as we sat on the beautiful beach and making dinner reservations for us at local restaurants they recommended when we fancied a change from eating at the hotel. The bar and restaurant servers were friendly and soon got to know those little details such as we didn't take sugar with our coffee...and we liked double gins with our tonics!! We enjoyed the food too, especially the generous breakfasts, club sandwiches and Caesar salad. If, like us, you are looking for somewhere peaceful where you can spend days alternating between reading your book and taking dips in the clear warm sea, somewhere where you aren't on top of lots of other guests,this is the place for you. …

After driving around in Cuba from casa to casa, experiencing the real life and poverty of Cuba, arriving in Hotel Mistique Casa Perla felt like our honeymoon had finally started. No big hotel to share with 100’s of others, but a peaceful environment where you get treated with lots of respect. No huge buffet, but a nice restaurant, sitting outside with a beautiful view on the beach. Unfortunately, we had an accident in the shower the evening of our arrival. The shower door collapsed while my husband was taking a shower… It was solved in the best possible way, we got upgraded to an even bigger suite (they are all nice!) with ocean view and jacuzzi. The under-director Angèl came to apologize and checked on us a few times during our stay (nice extra: he speaks perfect Dutch/Flemish) and gave us a bottle of Champagne from the director. These people made an effort to make us feel good at the hotel. The budlers who served us on the beach and anywhere in the hotel deserve a complement aswel. Their names have slipped my mind, but both very kind and respectful. We also enjoyed having a nice gym and a great private beach! This hotel was the perfect place to relax a few days at the end of our honeymoon. If we had known this before, we would have spend more days there!…

From check in to checkout this was a great experience. With only 10 rooms and a small staff, we quickly felt at home - a gorgeous home. Butlers Zuri and Sergey are both fantastic people who were always welcoming and helpful. We booked a deluxe junior suite with jacuzzi on the balcony, the suite was very spacious, immaculate. Water pressure was moderate, no shortage of hot water, ever. Toilet and shower separate from the sink, which is in the room. Comfy beds, firm but not hard. Unlike the other hotel we stayed at in Cuba, this restaurant served fresh, delicious breakfasts. Fresh pastry, cheeses, fruit plates, toast, eggs to order (we always order scrambled and they were fantastic), pancakes (we didn’t have the pancakes), breakfast meats. We ate at the restaurant for dinner twice, it was good too. Not as much as breakfast, but as between the two I’ll take super-fresh pastry every time. Ocean views. Service in the restaurant was excellent, attentive and friendly. The hotel is in Varadero town, easy walking distance to everything. Beachfront with a large lawn overlooking the beach. There are 8 huts with two sun beds each right on the beach, and 5 padded double beds on the grass, all with great views of the ocean. I had a massage from Reggie, his hands are magic. There’s also a small pool and gym, and air conditioned bar, and they serve food and drinks on the covered patio or on the beach/grass. We’ve found our new place and already planning to return. Thanks to the entire staff for their kindness! As beautiful as the hotel is, the people are what makes it a fantastic experience. The hotel and staff are lovely. The building is beautiful and our room was excellent. But there are a few little things which irritated in a hotel which costs so much per night!! On arrival there was no bottled water in our room - we had to ask three times!! And apparently water is only provided on arrival and not each day??? In a hotel of this calibre??? The chefs and staff seem to switch each day and when ordering the same sandwich at lunch on the second day it was completely different?? There are signs of decay in what is a new hotel - the wooden boardwalk to the beach is beginning to break. The wood is splintering and rotting!!! The lattice work on the beach bed structures is rusting and breaking off!! Maintenance??? But as I said we had a very comfortable and very clean spacious room!! And good advice on where to go to eat outside the hotel!…

What a location and what a stylish hotel! We stayed five nights and it was so comfortable and relaxing. Felt so special and personal compared to the huge all-inclusive hotels along the beach. Loved the little pool, the massages and the gym. The bedroom, lounge and bathroom facilities were all great - clean and spacious. Good breakfasts and really nice friendly staff. I would love to go back!

If you're looking to visit Varadero but don't want to consider all inclusive, then I highly recommend Casa Perla. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed like it's your home. The staff are truly fantastic and are always on hand to support. Rooms are stunning and we were lucky enough to have a ocean view suite, which I could highly recommend. Food is to a very high standard for Cuba, as is the wifi. The cost is of course more than other places in Cuba, but I would say it really is a much higher standard hotel. Sergei & Surai were absolutely superb and made our stay extra special. Also plenty of sun loungers. And no issue getting seats for dinner or breakfast. A truly special hotel.

Absolute 5 stars for this hotel. The hotel staff were incredible from booking a room to booking the spa. The location is fantastic, secluded, and secure. The beach was fantastic in this area as well, not too crowded, and the waves were manageable. Rooms were immaculate and the beds were super comfortable! Drinks and food were fantastic as well and always someone there to help you with anything you need. I will get back there as soon as possible!

Absolutely loved it! The staff was amazing, the beach was beautiful, and it’s located in an area with a lot of food options. Definitely was not crowded. The do not skimp on food especially for breakfast.

This hotel experience was three days in paradise! Beautiful, historic former home right on the pristine beach in Varadero. Excellent service from the moment of arrival-- shout out to Yenedi at the front desk. Delicious breakfast (fruit, pastries, eggs, coffee) on the patio is included each morning with a view of the crystal blue water. Snorkeling off a catamaran for $20. Can't wait to return with my family.

One of the secret places hidded in a beautiful beach, with a great staff, they made us feel really welcomed and made our anniversary weeding a dream come true. In the middle of fear because other reasons and knowing previously the economic issues the country is facing, we felt really glad to find that hidden jewerly of Varadero.
