Nestled in the heart of Willemstad, the Renaissance Wind Creek Curacao Resort garners praise for its clean, comfortable rooms with stunning ocean views, though attention to readiness and maintenance has been called out by some guests. Visitors revel in the vibrant atmosphere and unique amenities such as the man-made beach and infinity pool, with the hotel's prime location offering easy access to local shops and eateries. The service at the resort is frequently lauded for its professionalism and warmth, contributing to the property's reputation for providing good value. However, while the hotel's cleanliness typically earns high marks, a few travelers have reported occasional housekeeping inconsistencies.

Great location, close to the port and you have the possibility to see the cruises that arrive daily, the room services menu is very good, better than the restaurants. The all-inclusive option is good as the prices are quite high for cocktails and meals.
If you go with children I do not recommend the hotel, it has no large pools or games for children
It has no beach, there is on the second floor a "beach" pool with sand that simulates the theme well, but it is not real

With 3,100+ reviews, I’ll stick to the highlights.

Getting the negative out of the way, the pillows were absolutely horrendous – like, potato chip thin, even doubled up. The toilet paper isn’t much better. I also had trouble with the hot water in the shower being hit or miss.

Location is perfect and easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, shops, and the Queen Emma bridge. It’s also right next to the cruise ship port, which we didn’t mind since it was kinda fun to look at, and the hotel has done a really nice job putting the beach/pools on the second level where the cruise ship people walk out on the main level, so you don’t get overrun.

We stayed in a king-sized room with a balcony on the 4th floor, and here are the important things to note:

- Toiletries included Aveda shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in bottles attached to the shower wall along with Aveda lotion, a sewing kit, and a hair dryer. There were also two robes and two pairs of slippers in our room.
- There were many electrical outlets and even USB outlets in the room, especially next to both sides of the bed.
- Wi-Fi was free and easy to connect to.
- Our absolute favorite part of the room was the wall mounted hanging rack contraption with a million (ok, maybe 10) hooks to hang towels, hats, backpacks, etc. There are never enough hooks in a hotel room, and this was genius!

The front desk staff were really nice and always had bottled water if we asked, which was a lot. As others have noted, the beach is manmade, but we liked that better. Sitting in the beach chairs, service was solid from the bar and wait staff would walk around to ask if you wanted to order anything.

Elevators moved really fast, and we never had to wait more than a minute or two.

We ate breakfast at the restaurant once and ordered off the menu since the buffet was absolutely overrun with people. Get there early if you want some space.

The hotel really offered everything you could wish for. Starting with the rooms. These were really modern and everything was spotlessly clean. Although the hotel seems to have a lot of rooms (judging by the floors and room numbers), it was completely confusing and you never had the feeling that it was overcrowded. Quite the opposite, you often wondered where all the people were. We never had any problems getting a seat in the restaurant or at the infinity pool.
We had the all-inclusive package and here 'all-inclusive' is taken really literally. Everything you can imagine was included in the package. Even really high-quality alcoholic drinks (which you don't always get from other all-inclusive hotels) and even all drinks and food at Starbucks (one branch directly in the hotel on the second floor and one in the mall). In addition, the soft drinks were really branded products from a can and not diluted syrup or something similar.
What really deserves to be highlighted is the hotel staff. Without exception, everyone we interacted with during our stay (and that included some of the staff) was so incredibly warm, courteous and friendly. You could approach anyone present with any question or request and always received a very courteous response. In the restaurants, care was always taken to ensure that you had something to drink and that empty dishes were cleared away as quickly as possible. Everyone always had a smile on their face and you could also ask anyone for a few tips on excursions or similar.
On the day of departure, we (like everyone else) had to check out at 12:00 p.m. But our flight didn't leave until 8:25 p.m. So we still had a few hours to wait until our departure. A nice lady at reception offered us the opportunity to have another look around the city and then freshen up in a room before we left. That's what I call really courteous and hospitable!

We can recommend the hotel in every respect and will hopefully come back one day.

The hotel is located in Otrababda right next to the Rif Fort and is therefore the perfect starting point for exploring the island. We are traveling with a rental car and therefore cannot say how well exploring the island by bus works. However, there is a bus stop right near the hotel. Parking is available free of charge at the hotel.

Since we booked the hotel without meals, we cannot provide any information on the quality of the food. For anyone who is happy to start the day with a coffee, the hotel has its own Starbucks.

What every guest should be aware of is that the 5 O'cklock Bar is directly opposite the hotel and there is live music from Thursday to Sunday (until around 10/half past 10). Accordingly, it can be a bit problematic if you want to go to bed earlier.

The small man-made hotel beach has enough umbrellas so that you can always find a shady spot and there is a bar where you can get drinks and snacks. Beach towels are provided free of charge.

The hotel staff is always helpful and the management responds promptly to complaints, which we really appreciate.

Spend 7 nights here on vacation, and had a beautiful experience. We got upgraded nice room with balcony and ocean view, and looking at cruise boats docked. While food was simple, we enjoyed our free buffet breakfasts. Overall service from all staff was excellent, very friendly people at restaurant and pool area. Prices are very reasonable and location great with down town at walking distance. Although no ocean access, their saltwater pool with artificial beach suited our needs well.
Only if you want direct ocean access and beach you should choose another location,
otherwise this is great property to explore beautiful Curacao. Free parking as well.

First-class hotel. We have tried several hotels in Curacao in recent years. In our opinion, the Renaissance Hotel is the best of all. You are greeted very warmly upon arrival. Water is offered immediately. The entrance is friendly and nicely designed. Music is played in the lobby on Fridays and Saturdays. Dancing is encouraged. The rooms are very clean and well-kept. You feel at home. The seawater pool has fine sand and you swim like in the sea. There is also a smaller freshwater pool.
The food can be eaten a la carte or as a buffet. The menu is extensive and, very importantly, it tastes really good and delicious.

All of this is made possible by the manager Herbert and the so-called navigators Martesano and Jureschka, the service staff Zayra, Zigraina, Sandra, Francesca, and the visible kitchen staff Martina, Isabel, Paola, Lenny and of course Piet.

Geraldine Lai takes care of the billing.

Renaissance is a great choice if you’re looking for a Marriott property in a great location with a fake beach. This was my second stay. The bathroom is showing little ware and tear but nothing significant. All the best beaches are 30-40 min away so I like staying at a hotel closer to shops and restaurants. There is a man made beach with seawater and also a smaller chlorine pool here. The morning buffet is $28 but offered complimentary with my titanium status. The oceanfront rooms are unobstructed and gives view of the cruise ships when they pull into port. The only thing I didn’t care for was the spot lights being on all night outside the 5 OClock Somewhere bar outside my room and the loud music blaring late into night Fri-Sun. Free garage parking is included in resort fee.

My husband and I together with two friends have just returned after spending eight wonderful days at this resort. As my title says, it was truly a gold 5* resort from start to finish.

First, I would like to start by apologising to the staff for not remembering all their names but each and everyone of them is the backbone of the hotel. You are certainly one big team, and the Marriott should be very proud of you all.

However, there are some people who went out of their way to help us with our dietary requirements, and I would like to mention them.
Belsa - lead in restaurant, who on hearing I and one of our friends could not have lactose discussed with the management and kitchen staff on how to resolve it. The result was four alternative desserts baked especially for us and left in the kitchen. All we had to do was ask for them at our meals. Also, Marylou her assistant, Chantal and Ruth also in the restaurant for making sure we had no problems. Thank you all.

One evening the four of us decided to have dinner in Gondola, which is one of the restaurants in the Renaissance Mall & Rif Fort. You get a voucher of $25 pp towards the cost of the meal, and you collect them at reception before going. On the night in question one of the receptionists Riangelo, decided to accompany us and introduce us to the restaurant staff and explain about the vouchers. It was most thoughtful of him, and we went on to have a wonderful evening there.
See separate review.

Because we were staying longer than four nights we had decided to opt for the "All Inclusive" package when we were booking the trip through our travel agent. I can honestly tell you that it was worth it, and the food was just superb.

This is also a resort where you can feel completely safe no matter which part you go to as there are a lot of security staff constantly walking around. We also saw that the Marriott makes hygiene a top priority. Not only were the rooms immaculate but everywhere in the resort. This was much appreciated after Covid.

I could go on and on about this resort, but I won't. I will simply say that you just have to pay a visit to Renaissance Wind Creek Curacao, and I guarantee, you will definitely not be disappointed.

Some previous reviews we had read said that the decor was dated and the rooms smelled musty. Nothing could be further from the truth! We stayed in an ocean view room and the decor was new and modern with a touch of contemporary art on the walls. The bathroom was elegant and functional with all the accoutrements expected in a 5 star hotel including a rain shower, slippers and velvety bathrobes. This room had the largest TV screen I have ever seen in a hotel room, at least 50". The cleaning staff were highly efficient to point of being almost invisible. Everywhere in the hotel looked as if it was newly renovated in a contemporary style and colours. The private beach/pool was amazing. The best times to go to the pool, if you don't like it too crowded or want to have to search for pool chairs or shade, would be in the morning before 11 or in the afternoon after 4. The pool is an artificial beach complete with sand and palm trees. The outer border of the pool is an infinity edge that laps over into the ocean. The staff were all very nice and accommodating especially the doormen. There's an in-house casino where you can also exchange your cash into Guilders at a fair rate. Can't speak to the quality or cost of the food since we weren't on a meal plan but the main dining area on the ground floor was always fairly busy with apparently satisfied guests. A retailer outside the hotel mentioned that this hotel was recently renovated and rated the #1 hotel in Willemstad. It wasn't hard to believe. There are also facilities for banquet halls and business conferences of which we saw several during our stay. On top of all this, the hotel is superbly located just next to the Rif Fort making it an easy walk across the bridge into town.

No, just as the previous person said. On the other hand, why is a hot tub important as there is a whole island to explore. Why visit a Caribbean island depending on a hot tub?

Yes, they do indeed offer day passes. You will gain access to their man made beach. I would personally go to one of the (other) many beaches.
