The Avila Hotel combines history (the Octagon, where Simon Bolivar lived for 2 years, and the old hotel) with a new, modern wing and modern facilities. Rooms are good, not very spacious but comfortable, breakfast is ok, nothing special, restaurant however is superb. The Blues...More
Our goal on this trip to the Avila Hotel was just to rest, read, tan, swim, run, and relax. We knew we wouldn't be into exploring too much or adventure seeking or eating out at every restaurant in the area. The Avila Hotel is a...More
Great place to enjoy Curacao hospitality. We lost our luggage in Amsterdam transfer for one day, but the Hotel was kind enough to open the shop just for us on Saturday evening to buy some beachwear. Excellent AC in the room, lot of space in...More
The Avila Hotel was a pleasant, comfortable place to stay. They surprisingly upgraded me from a regular room to a 3 bedroom suite, which made the stay even better. The grounds are beautiful and kept up, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant was...More

I had the breakfast buffet at the hotel they had a good variety of everything. Outside I would think you would have to go in the town which is like a 10-15 min walk if you like there's a local bus . Hope this helps.

Hi Rebecca, there is an extensive breakfast buffet served at the Avila Café. It is so close by your room you could crawl ;) We also have a la carte breakfast items (and lunch options that you can order as of 11AM) at the Schooner Bar & Restaurant. Both locations have an awesome view which I am sure you will love when starting your day!

Yes, there is a towel hut near the beach. You're given one towel card per person. Simply exchange your card for a towel and then pick-up the card when you return the towel. (or just keep the towel overnight and trade in the morning). It's easy and you always have access to fresh towels during the day..
