Zoetry Curacao Resort & Spa enjoys a favorable location close to downtown and the airport, with guests appreciating its tranquil atmosphere and clean environment. However, service at the resort often falls short of expectations, with numerous visitors experiencing slow and disorganized assistance, leading to long waits and room servicing issues. While the hotel's cleanliness and luxurious touches earn praise, its value is questioned due to high costs and underwhelming meal quality. Opinions on amenities and rooms are divided, with some guests satisfied with the space and offerings, but others frustrated by noise, upkeep, and service inconsistencies.

I recently spent my Thanksgiving vacation at Zoetry Resort in Curacao with my sister and friends, and it was an amazing experience. At the beginning of our stay, we felt the service could have been a bit more proactive and attentive to our needs. However, this concern was promptly addressed by one of the staff members, and we noticed a significant improvement. It was reassuring to see that our feedback was taken seriously.

The staff, overall, was incredibly friendly, and the manager, Juan, stood out for being exceptionally helpful and receptive to feedback. One highlight was Latoya, the bartender, who became a favorite among us. Her drinks were fantastic, and the Timothys at the bar also provided excellent service. We particularly enjoyed the watermelon salad and wings at the pool.

Being connected to Dreams Resort allowed us to savor a great dinner at the grill. While we mainly dined offsite, the turn-down service in our room and the multiple daily visits from the housekeeper were much appreciated.

What set Zoetry apart was the staff's genuine interest in our feedback and continuous efforts to improve. We would gladly return in the future to witness these enhancements. The pool's peaceful atmosphere during the day was a definite plus, and the visits from Lissette and Chanis, along with Jeandery's thorough and kind service, added to the overall positive experience.

Though the resort was quiet and calm, we felt that a touch of entertainment, perhaps a jazz band at night, would enhance the atmosphere without being too noisy or complicated. Kudos to Manager Juan for his hands-on approach, teaching the younger staff, and always ensuring a seamless experience for guests. He even worked on his days off!

On another note, we would recommend that the resort considers providing mosquito repellent for guests. This addition would be beneficial, ensuring a more comfortable experience, especially in the evenings. Despite this small suggestion, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Zoetry and appreciate the efforts taken to enhance our stay.

We went to Zoetry for our babymoon and really enjoyed the is island vibe and people here. It cost 20$USD to go to town and 20$USD back to the hotel (they have shopping stores, fruit market, pharmacy, art, etc).

Pro: easy to go around with the golf cart (less than 5 minutes wait mostly each time),staff are super nice, service is always fast (only had one room service experience that was very slow), room are new ,big and trendy, the resort is very calm overall, there is few iguanas and few cute cats on the resort, pretty much an adult only resort (only seen about 3 kids in the 1 week that we were there), wifi works from everywhere on the resort, private zoetry beach in construction but mostly no construction or noise (it will be their high end pods part of Zoetry on the beach),they have extra pillows including maternity ones that made my life much better, room cleaning everyday, mini bar filled up everyday, turn down done each night including a chocolate on the pillow, water is transparent in Curacao (snorkelling free from the Dreams hotel )and you can see plenty of fishes.

Con: no fruits at the bar, not a very big menu choice for vegetarian, food is better at the Zoetry than the Dreams, restaurants at Dreams and Zoetry seams to sometimes be open and sometimes closed (there is always few open but still it’s strange as it show that they are open 7/7 on the app), transfer to our hotel took over 30 minutes so we decided to grab a cab because i was really hot and i am 24 weeks pregnant.

When we read the review here we got a bit scared but really we had an amazing time here and would recommend. We do travel a lot and i do not consider it as a 5 stars resort but at least a 4 starts!

Dear Blouin_andrea, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review of your recent babymoon stay at Zoetry Curacao Resort & Spa. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the island vibe and the friendliness of our staff. We are thrilled that you found our resort to be calm and relaxing, and that you were able to take advantage of the amenities we offer, such as our golf cart transportation, room amenities, and turn down service. We appreciate your feedback regarding the lack of fruit at the bar and the limited vegetarian menu options, and we will certainly take this into consideration as we continue to improve our offerings. We are pleased to hear that you found the room to be modern and comfortable, and that you enjoyed the daily cleaning and minibar refreshment. We are excited to hear that you were able to experience the crystal-clear waters of Curacao and the abundance of marine life. We are sorry to hear that you encountered some inconvenience with restaurant closures and transfer time, but we are glad that it did not detract from your overall enjoyment of your stay. Thank you for your recommendation and for considering our resort as a destination. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable experience. Warm regards, Bras da Silva Lucas. Assistant social media coordinator & eConcierge.

Pros: The bartenders (Jason, Dyon, Timothy, Latoya) were great and appreciated Jason bringing his own smoker to the hotel to provide upgraded cocktails. They were always attentive. Some of the waitstaff was very attentive (Udenis, Chandra, Daniel)

The quality of food was above average. Should offer the French menu more than once per week.

The hotel is clean and safe. The rooms are well designed. The pool is well kept and a comfortable temperature.

Cons:
The wait time for meals was too long. Over a hour and half to get a salad at lunch (this happened more than once). Over 45 minutes to get a drink/water at dinner after asking multiple times. Waiting over a hour for an entree after receiving a starter (and when arriving at dinner at 6pm). There needs to be more management at the restaurants to improve the level of service. The only people that showed a sense of urgency were Daniel and Udenis.

Very limited to no pool service - need to have a pool attendant or waitress serving.

Housekeeping was good but amenities in the rooms not on par for a Zoetry. Small tubes of shampoo and conditioner. No lotion. No bug spray. No sunscreen. No toothpaste. If the hotel is trying to be green, then large, refillable bottles would be the best option.

We are UVC diamond members and Hyatt globalist. No recognition of either. Had to repeatedly request a bottle of wine in the room when the website says you get one daily.

Not enough chairs by the pool. Many days there were more people than chairs. And the chair game was in full play. Saw towels on chairs at sunrise and no people until after noon. Many days there were not enough towels; especially if it rained.

Street noise around the hotel is loud at times. If there was some music playing it may help dampen the noise from outside.

Disappointing Experience

Zoetry Curacao is far from the “luxury all-inclusive” experience it claims to be. After two room changes, we finally got one with a functioning air conditioner, but the hotel is clearly falling apart. The rooms are outdated, with mattresses that need replacing—ours had deep concave areas, and staff had to flip it to make it somewhat bearable. The resort overall seems neglected and lacks the maintenance to support its luxury claims.

Room cleanliness was inconsistent. Despite promises of three daily cleanings, our room was only cleaned by 4 pm at best. The minibar was not replenished twice a day as advertised, and it took two full days to get Diet Coke. The “welcome” wine was cheap ($9.99 bottle) and kept in a bucket of water, not ice. Toiletries were also subpar, with half-filled bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash upon arrival.

The advertised amenities also fell short. The cappuccino machine in the room was broken, making loud noises and only occasionally dispensing cold, watery coffee. Fresh fruit, another claimed perk, was nonexistent—just two shriveled apples sat in our room for six days. The pool was poorly maintained, cloudy with a film along the water line, and definitely not cleaned daily.

Service was a major issue. The 24-hour room service took over two hours to arrive, and poolside service was nearly nonexistent. Many advertised offerings were unavailable, such as creamer, straws, and top-shelf liquors. The hotel ran out of basic items like limes and couldn’t even keep things like coffee stocked consistently.

Additionally, the resort only has one restaurant, not the three promised. They offer access to the neighboring Dreams Resort, but this requires a shuttle via a dilapidated golf cart that lacked functioning lights—hardly the luxury experience you'd expect. The cart service felt unsafe and unreliable.

This was not an isolated experience. Every guest we spoke to shared similar complaints. It seems Zoetry Curacao may have been a decent resort years ago, but in 2024, it feels more like a budget option. I would not recommend Zoetry Curacao to anyone looking for a true luxury experience.

To add to MsDessW- as the guest of honor of this trip, I was very disappointed. I chose this hotel based on what I knew about Zoetry and the luxury and amenities we were supposed to be having. Not a single one of my meals was gourmet. As a matter of fact the best lunch that I had was at the adults only pool that we were finally able to go to again after having our travel agent and two employees from Zoetry, escort us to the adults only pool on The Dreams side. I planned out my 50th birthday more than 18 months prior to and it took me 6 months of looking at different islands and different hotels and resorts to decide on where to go that would be best for me and my travel companions. I am embarrassed to say that I obviously chose the wrong resort.

I can say, at least, that my guest room lived up to its expectations. I really did enjoy my room, except for the mattress because one side sunk in and the other side was higher up, but other than that mattress it was a great room. The cleaning ladies did a great job, especially whoever cleaned my room the last two nights, which also happened to be the only two nights that I did get turn down service throughout , my stay, although we are supposed to get this everyday and cleaning service three times a day. My room was cleaned once daily, and touched up twice on the two days that I did get my turn down service. We were there five nights.

Nine times out of 10, we were never able to actually eat together even though we were at the restaurant together sitting at the same table, because our meals were brought out one by one and many times, they were inorrect.
The resort site states that there are no check in or check out times, which was also a big seller for me. So we all chose the latest flights we could to leave the island on our last day. However, the front desk will tell you upon arrival to let them know what time you plan to check out and they will see if they can accommodate your time. A bit odd for a place who does not have check out times. The amenities sound amazing online, however, they fell very short of the expectations I had.
Save yourself some money and a lot of disappointment and choose different places to stay.
MsDessW wrote a very thorough review so there is not a lot that I can add. I just felt that I needed to also leave a little review considering that whole trip was for my 50th birthday. The resort was not at all what I was hoping for and what I expected, and I hate that all of my guests were also underwhelmed by what was supposed to be a luxury resort with endless privileges. Thankfully, my friends and my accompanying travel agent were able to make this a great trip for me in spite of the shortcomings of Zoetry and it's staff.
I will state that the inside bar tenders were pretty good when they were around and the two drivers we had to take us back and forth between Zoetry and Dreams were the friendliest of anyone there.

Well, I'll start with the positive points... the hotel is beautiful, with a cozy and refined atmosphere, large paintings and top quality bathroom items. It is worth mentioning that the cleaning service is excellent (although they only supply water to the room once), but they clean the rooms and change towels twice a day if necessary. As for the negative points, they are the majority, which makes Zoetry from a 5-star resort to a single star. The service is only good until reception, from then on, be prepared to deal with poorly prepared, rude and inefficient employees/attendants. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one called Bloom and the other Botânica (in the pool area), both 100% à la carte with very limited options, in addition, the portions are small and take hours to prepare (between 1 hour and 2 hours) always, regardless of the movement (which is low), as the hotel also offers the services of Dreams, which owns Zoetry and is next door (there you will find slightly better service and more options for eating, as well as the beach) . Breakfast is another weak point, as it is also à la carte and takes a long time to serve, however, the options will meet your needs well, however, don't count on having a quick breakfast to go out and do some sightseeing, your breakfast will be slow... time consuming... Finally, I have the impression that the majority of employees at this hotel only work out of necessity, without any love for their work or respect for guests, causing a beautiful and refined hotel to be rated as terrible/ terrible, in which I will not recommend any of my friends/couples/relatives and I will even speak to my travel agent to remove it from his recommendations to his clients. It is worth mentioning that Curacao is a great destination, with incredible and beautiful places, in which I recommend better research, perhaps hotels like Sandals and Marriot will serve you much better. Furthermore, if you stay at Zoetry, choose to eat in the city center (punda) which has restaurants with affordable prices and service that is light years better.

The only positive of the Zoetry resort was the comfortable bed. But, even in the rooms there were issues. The shower was dirty with someone else's hair plastered to the wall. The doors are paper thin so you are able to hear everything including workers and light comes in from hallway making it impossible to have a dark room.

The resort was extremely underwhelming. You are required to travel to Dreams to get beach access, so, as a result, I expected pool service to be exceptional. I sat at the pool for hours and no one ever came around to ask if I wanted a beverage or food. When I requested a towel to use on the lounge chairs near the pool, it took over an hour to receive one. For my spa appointment, I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time for the masseuse to arrive. Dinner service took over 2 hours. I expected Zoetry to have better service than Secret's resorts and overall, I found the experience in Curacao to be lacking. Other guests at the resort had similar experiences.

Believe what you read from other people here. Though the rooms are spacious and pretty and well-maintained, they smell faintly of sewage. The coffee is undrinkably bad. The restaurants are...fine. You can get a flank steak and an overcooked salmon paired with crap wine and/or well liquor and not go to bed hungry. Though I will say the dessert there is actually worse than what you can get on the plane ride over.

Staff are very nice, but as a rule seem to be overworked and under-qualified for most of their roles.

A big issue is that a lot of the amenities on offer are at their (even more) downscale Dreams property, so if you want to, say, go to the beach (a wild idea, I know), the food and drink on offer over there is markedly worse—downright inedible, and I'll pretty much eat anything.

All in all, my stay here made me feel like I was taken advantage of. They took my money up front, pocketed as much of it as they could, and coasted on their no-cancellations policy. Hyatt should really look into what this place is doing to their reputation.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure they're refilling the Le Labo soap/shampoo dispensers in their showers with a cheaper product.

So if you think that staying at this all-inclusive hotel is going to save you any money, think again—if you want to save your vacation, you'll end up eating off-premises anyway.

I usually do lots of solo trips and this time I chose Zoetry for my dec trip mainly because of the aesthetic and funnily this time I didn’t even read reviews before booking (my mistake). I took a chance and sadly I was very disappointed especially at this price point and I surely wasn’t the only guest feeling that way then.

The resort itself is beautiful, nice style/aesthetic and the room was spacious and very comfy. However, cleaning service wasn’t on point. I checked in and there were dirty sticky mugs placed in tray as if they were clean, floors aren’t swept, bath mat is sometimes forgotten, stained blanket cover not changed, blanket cover quality seemed very used and had marks and to top it all dirty empty plates/ drink cups weren’t taken out.

Resort is very small, bars don’t seem to open early. 9/10am and I still didn’t see any bartender at the lobby bar. I didn’t feel like at a 24/7 all inclusive resort. Good thing the pool is 24/7 access but pool towels run out and you will wait hours for and also not towels at night . Entertainment is almost inexistant and they play some sort of spa music throughout the resort all day 😴😒. Private beach is located near dreams and seems as though many things are connected to dreams, entertainment etc. Golf cart stops at 11pm so you gotta walk back. Our private beach was mostly deserted haha 😂 and they had an employee who was scraping the sand for that lovely design you see in the picture 🤦🏾‍♀️. Everyone liked referring me to dreams which is a decent one with lots of families with kids. Their snack bar by the pool was disgusting cheap food.

I think for me what really broke my vacation spirit was that not only was this a boring stay but food took forever and food quality wasn’t on point either. This happened for every meal of the day and portions were small so I had to order many things at once too. Only 2 diners out of 7 made sense (Limited & same menu usually but those 2 nights were different options. Also, there’s no self serve so every meal is cooked as you order. It’s my first time ever seeing such setting at an all inclusive. They are definitely understaffed too.

The first 2 days was starting off horrible, we had a iguana in the vents, which the night crew told us there was nothing he can do until my husband kept pushing the issue. They moved us to another room at 2:30am which the room they moved us to was not clean,no towels, no soap, counter tops were sticky and dirty. and bathroom floor was disgusting. Room service was a 2 hour wait, I had to call down to see where was my food, when I received my food it was wrong and over cooked. The concierge was very condescending and rude. The hotel clerk called me a cab and gave them the wrong spot for my husband birthday massage on the beach,so we missed a hour of the massage and I had to pay an extra 30 on top of 150 for the cab due to us being 21 minutes out of the way of the location I was suppose to be at. All around it was disappointing for the first 2 days. I have never experienced no towels, no cranberry juice, no soap, restaurant and bar closing early at a so called luxury hotel. I have received better service at a 3 star hotel paying 20 times less.

The food was just ok for me. I think they should be able to accommodate you. You'll have access to their sister resort which is golf cart ride away. Everyone was really nice.
