Hands down amazing time! We stayed 5 nights in room 7. It was wonderful and felt like coming home every day after an excursion or beach day. Loupe is incredible! She felt like family and like we have known each other our whole lives. Great location. I can't wait to come back and go back “home”! Jan Thiel beach and restaurants plus a supermarket less than a 5 minute drive.

The hotel is in the Jan Thiel area. When we booked the hotel we had no idea how convenient the hotel was to so many places. You'll want a car while in Curacao but you could do and see a lot within walking distance or a short bus ride from the hotel. We stayed in the Superior Suite. It is an ideal room with a balcony and hammock. The owner and staff are singularly focused on the guests. We had a wonderful stay.

I saw the pictures on the website and liked the place. Little did I know that the pictures do not capture how poorly maintained the place is.

The green grass on the pictures is plastic. Yes, the pool is surrounded by plastic grass. My room had dangerous electric connection, lots of dust. There was a pile of gravel right tin the front of the property. In the back, old garbage was all over the place.

The prearranged car shuttle that I requested did cost me as much as a taxi and arrived 30 min after I arrived and called the owner (had to call from my US-based phone). The driver had another passenger. I was charged $26 USD for checking in 30 min earlier. Breakfast hours are so inconvenient that I never had one in 3 days.

The owner could not help with bus schedule or anything else.

You can read the other reviews to figure out that this sweet little (not really little) boutique hotel is run by a very dear, sweet lady named Lupe and that she consistently provides a wonderful experience for her quests. Lupe and her right-hand lady (please forgive me I don't recall her name) makes a different breakfast each day. You can tell they put effort into making your stay perfect! Lupe or her sons will also help out with transportation (for a fee) if you want to go beyond Jan Thiel. For example, Mambo beach is not close so it will take a car to get there.

We stayed in a suite outside of the main house which we were happy with. It overlooks the pool and affords you a bit more privacy than what is typical with B&B rooms inside the main residence. One thing to note, is that the bathroom door in this room is a sliding shutter-not a real door-that seals you and all your business off from the room. Which isn't a big issue, unless you really need a real door.

The hotel is a lovely residence in a lovely high-end neighborhood. There are high-end grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance (although Lupe et al, would almost prefer that you let her/sons take you back and forth from the hotel to the beach, free-of-charge). After a nice meal at a nearby restaurant though, it is a nice walk to help digest it all.

I could go on in more length about how much we enjoyed our stay, how we would stay again, how much I recommend this place and how sweet, helpful and charming Lupe and her family/staff are, but I think you get the picture based on my and other reviews. It's hard to imagine you could go wrong staying here-especially if you have your own transportation to get to some of the attractions further away.

Beautiful guesthouse within walking distance of the beach, supermarket, several great restaurants and a gym. It is a family-run facility with very friendly people. They really went out of their way to make me feel at home there. The room was lovely and spacious, and their breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something different from the regular tourist hotels. Thank you, Lupe and family, for making my stay with you something special!

In our 3 week during trip in Curaçao we stayed at different appartment and hotels. We spend 3 days and 2 nights at Adonai and it was far most one of the best places we stayed at. The host Lupe offers exeptional service around the clock and she welcomed us with flowers in the room. You definetely get more than what you pay for. The breakfast was superb. Far better and diverse than the most B&Bs we stayed at. The neighbourhood is modern and peaceful and nearby beaches and restaurants. Here you will feel at home and you have enough privacy.
The rooms are very clean, the wifi is good, the beds are comfy and there is also airconditioning.

I stayed here with my family back in January. I wasn't going to write a review but wanted to reply to their response about my Mom's review.

The good - Nice house in the most upscale part of Curacao. The rooms were all very nice with everything you need. The breakfast was Venezuelan and interesting to try. The manager was good to give us directions to the ostrich farm and parking near Jan Thiel beach. There was also a hammock in the back yard which I enjoyed using.

The not so good - There was enough parking for our rental car. That being said, when I parked it the first night, I was asked to move it to the street and asked to leave my keys so they could juggle the cars around for the night. There is room for 4 cars, 2 in the garage and 2 more behind the ones in the garage so that is the parking situation. They did put the car back in the driveway later although I don't really like leaving the keys on their front table where anyone staying there could grab them and drive away.

When my Mom said that the rooms were not as good as she hoped, she was referring to the fire that occurred. She unplugged the tv when she wanted to use the kettle and the maid noticed this and tried to make things easier for us. She grabbed an electrical cord from the house so everything could be plugged in. I do appreciate the effort on her part but it overloaded the next time the kettle was used and started a fire. They did offer to move us to another room in the house although we didn't feel like moving as we were checking out the next morning. It was very nice of them to bring us tea from the house afterwards.

The maid was a very hard worker. We told her she didn't need to clean up our room but when we came back from the beach everything was tidied up. The socks that I had left on the floor were all rolled up and neatly put away in the closet. I unrolled them and put them back on my feet. It is not necessarily a bad thing. I was very impressed at how hard she works.

I am not sure why the manager felt it necessary to mention my sister's disability. She is legally blind. Unless it was because she took a tumble off the cliff edges of their driveway. This could have happened to anyone after dark although in her case, it was daytime.

I thought the swimming pool looked really nice when I saw the pictures of it online but in reality, it is just a big bathtub. One stroke and you have swam the full length of the pool. There is however, a very nice infinity pool at the beach down the road which I believe is open to the public. We parked on the street near the beach so avoided the parking charges. The actual beach is very small.

My Mom only wrote the review after I told her I had received an email from Booking.com that we had not shown up for our reservation and asking me to confirm that. I don't know if they were trying to save paying the commission or they were afraid we would mention the fire. (We were asked not to mention the fire which I hadn't planned to.)

There is more traffic on the Jan Thiel side of the island. I noticed leaving the one day, a long backup of cars. I preferred the west side of the island where the driving was more relaxed.

Anyhow, to conclude, Reinaldo is right, they do have nice rooms and I would like to thank them again for their hospitality!

Dear guest, First of all we want to say that we are not afraid of any bad comment guests can say about us, because in this world we learned, how better you threat people, most of them are not grateful and how worster they will talk about you, because most of the people has not a heart of JESUS, and never will understand with how many effort someone starts a business, to grow up his family and in one phrase someone can destroy the efforts from some "entrepeneurs" they build up for years. In any hotel and restaurants in the world, when the parking lot is full they ask you to leave the keys. This is nothing new, and we thank the Lord, people who come to our hotel the 99% are serious people till now, and they will never take a key away from our desk.Never happened in ten years we have this business and we are sure it will never happen, because most of them rent their own car, so they will not need to steal anybodys keys. About the fire? I have been in the past in a five star hotel, and the room close to me got the same problem but it was most worster and burned inside hardly complete all the room and the carpet. So we don'tneed to be ashamed of that, because those things can happen everyday, everywhere. About the girl that she works very hard, she is being paid good for this, because we know that, and all of us as owners, work more harder than her, and till now we didn't die. Hotel business is a nice business, and everybody who works in it, knows that it is hard work. But when you do it with love, you don't feel it, because we are calling to serve people. About our parkinglot, we have at our right side place for four(4) cars, but at our left side inside we can put six(6) more. So I don't know what'is the problem because we have more than enough for the rooms we have for rent. All by all, if only one or two guests give a bad opinion about us, we would like to invite everybody to read our revieuws on Booking.com which is the Company we most work with, and we have very beautiful and excellent comments. So God bless you again my dear guests, and it was a pleasure to meet you. We did our best to let you feel at home. Mrs.Lupe Reyes Managing Director

It is a pity this family think so. We threat them very well, as they had a handicapped daughter and this is the first time in ten(10) years someone says, they don't like our rooms. We have very comfortable rooms, most of them with queen and king size beds (you not easely get in five stars hotels), and we have enough parking place for the quantity of rooms we rent. If they don't want to return, it's their choice. We did our maximum effort to let them feel well. God bless them!

We have fifteen kind of breakfast. We serve most of them Venezuelan style, We have also other international styles. For us the most important thing is to surprise our guests everyday with something different, to let them come back again. You will enjoy them! And prepared with a lot of love!!!
Answer from Reinaldo R

Most of them are from the venezuelan cuisine. We prepare "arepas" (you prepare it with meal) with all styles of eggs different always, but you can also get wraps of fish, chicken or meat, with garlic breads, salads, fruits, juices, hot chocolates, coffee or tea. We have a very extensive menu of breakfast. Too much to explain. You will have to come and experience them. Our breakfast are our goal !Hope to serve you!
