UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT The owner of Narakiel's Inn, Lynne, wishes to inform guests that we are now under new local management. To me the comfort of our guests is paramount and so I was saddened to read the recent bad reviews listed here related to the level of service offered as my goal is to provide guests with the highest level of customer care. However, since I primarily run the Inn remotely, unfortunately I mostly cannot be there in person to do so. Therefore, I have parted ways with our former manager Richard and we now have a new Local Representative, who I believe is better aligned with providing the level of service that our guests deserve. Our new local representative is warm, professional and eager to offer guests the same level of customer care and service that I would provide if I was there in person. We greatly appreciate the thoughtful feedback provided here and we will continue to institute changes to ensure that they are all addressed.

Detailed Reviews
Narakiel's Inn is a perfect budget accommodation for Roseau. It is quieter than in town because it's across the river, yet it is just a 5-10 minute walk from anything (the Bay Front, the Botanical Garden). The rooms are comfortable and have very good beds, great towels, and powerful air-conditioners. You can even do a little cooking in the room if you need to.

The local manager is now a delightful person. Keren was a fountain of local knowledge, and very helpful.
This Inn is within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, the Dominica museum, pick-up points for many tours, the Botanic Garden and so on.
The room was very compact, but I was traveling solo and didn't mind. It was clean and equipped witn the basics. Tap water was in the fridge--I would gladly have paid for a bottle. A/C worked well, but the safe did not.
Taxi transfers to/from the airport were helpfully arranged.
You cannot beat the price for this accommodation!

We booked this online without any review information. It turned out to be a good option for us. Walking back to the hotel at night we got to know a few of the locals. Positives: room had almost everything we needed, including a cell phone! bed was large and comfortable, place was secure, A/C worked well, the bathroom worked well, the hotel also has a balcony with a view of the river and town centre; one look would tell whether a cruise ship was in town. Negatives: the room safe was broken; the hotel's credit card machine was broken so we had to get cash from the bank; the room was too small for 2 people.

I booked this stay without any review information. It turned out to be a great option in fact. The place was aboyt 5 mins away from the town. The room was fully equipped with eveything you could think of. The bathroom was also well equipped and furnished with the necessary necessities. The view was an amazing view. It was a balcony view with a view of the river and town centre; one look would tell whether a cruise ship was in town or not. Lastly SHERWIN was very friendly and polite. He made sure we were set and treated us like family. He serviced the room well and in a timely manner. This place was very affordable and would definitely recommend.

Small and very complete and reasonably priced apartment. Clean, well situated near the centre of the town, nice owners with good service. We stayed for two nights but would have stayed longer if we had the time. We can really recommend this.

Staying at Narakiel's Inn in the beautiful country of Dominica was an amazing experience! My cousin and I chose the perfect accommodations for us. The studio, though small, was very comfortable and included a cozy kitchenette. It was clean, had air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The view of the river from the balcony was extremely peaceful at any time of day. I experienced the true island feel.
The best part was the hospitality given by the manager, Richard Astaphan, who was the most gracious host I have ever encountered at an establishment of this sort. He made sure all of our needs were met as well as well as several of our wants. I appreciated his hospitality immensely.
I didn't want to come back home. WHEN I return to Dominica, I will stay at Narakiel's Inn again. I hope you do too.

When visiting Domonica Narakiel's Inn is the place to stay. The rooms are cozy but clean. There is AC and celling fan fridge, microwave and television in all the rooms. There is a river to the front where I would just sit and watch which allows me to relax and calm my mind. It is walking distant to the city. Richard the owner was very helpful in getting us whatever we wanted to do. Our first night on the Island Richard took us to a beautiful local place where we had grilled fish and chicken. To be honest I do not think I tasted food that good before.
You definately need to tour the island and Joe the taxi driver is the person you need. His humor and explaining will just blow you off your mind.
I went to Domonica for relaxation and that is what I got. With the water falls sulpher springs fresh air and lovely people like Richard and Joe. I totally came back a new person.

Narakiel's Inn is a great place to stay if you're looking for an affordable room at 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of Roseau. My room was not big but had all the things I needed; a fridge, microwave, towels, a tv with good movie channels and a cell phone that I could carry with me, so I could call Richard, the manager, wherever I was. The service provided by Richard was great; I hired him to show me beautiful places on the island, so I could see and do a lot of things in the week I stayed on Dominica. Richard is an exellent guide, he can tell a lot about the island and he brought me to some very good local restaurants where I could experience the delisious Dominican Caribbean cuisine. I don't think I would have such a wonderful time on Dominica if I hadn't stayed in Narakiel's Inn.

I had a really nice experience in Narakiel's Inn. Richard the manager was so friendly, he ensured i had everything i needed for my stay. The guest house was extremely clean, my room came with fridge & microwave, so i was self sufficient. The TV had lots of really great movie channels. I would be happy to recommend!

We stayed here for 2 nights in November, and although it was a very small room, it was spotless and had every conceivable amenity imaginable, from air conditioning to a microwave and a coffee machine to a golf umbrella (which was much appreciated and much used on our stay!). As there is no reception, they provide you with a mobile phone, with credit on it and a charger, so that if you need the manager, who is on site, you just call him! It's brilliant! Only 5 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 7 to 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Definitely recommend this hotel as long as you're not claustrophobic! Fab
