We stayed in Cocoa cottages for 4 nights, and it was great - the atmosphere is unforgettable, rainforest all around, and Iris and her cocoa tea waiting after an exhausting day canyoning or hiking...We stayed in the Patchouli room - very nice and comfortable. The stay was a bit expensive, but worth it. Definitely can reccommend if you want to...

Just got back from a 4-night stay at the Cocoa Cottages. Stayed in the treehouse--what an experience! I've never had accommodations as cool as that. Everything was open air--took a shower every night surrounding by the lush rainforest, totally incredible. By the way, the rainforest is a loud place due to birds/bugs/water sounds (which caught me by surprise), so light...

We enjoyed 5 nights at Cocoa Cottages. It is a beautiful place on the side of a lush green valley. Our room was airy and pretty with lots of shutters. The porch at the front of our room was really relaxing with its swinging chair and round table. Iris, the owner, is a beautiful, inspiring lady and businesswoman. She made...

My boyfriendand I stayed for 3 nights in February and saw: boiling lake, trafalgar falls, scottshead, champagne reef, and went out to eat in Rouseau. The owner and neighbors who run an adventure company are extremely knowledgable about the island and amazing hikes and activities. The room was private and spacious and had a swinging daybed on the porch to...

My wife and I spent a week at Cocoa Cottages in March 2012. It was my wife's first visit to Dominica and my fourth but after a gap of almost 18 years. The island lived up to all our expectations and Cocoa Cottages exceeded them. The accommodation is superbly located, stylish, comfortable and relaxed. Many thanks to Iris and Joan...

Lovely spot to come home to after a day exploring the Roseau River Valley. Perfectly located for great hikes, beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, snorkeling and day trips. Breakfasts and dinners were the best we had on the island and well worth it. Falling asleep to the sounds of the rain forest--a truly magical experience. Iris, Liz, and Richard were so...

WE only got to visit the cottages as they were full and we had to stay other places, but we did the canyoning with Richard and Jeffery. AMAZING time. It was the best thing we did. Then Liz took us to the cottages and showed us everything, we had cocoa muffins, THE BEST and cocoa tea. She did not rush...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Cocoa Cottage--Dominica Mind Body Adventure. Cocoa Cottage is an artistic guest house located in the heart of the Roseau Valley, only a few miles from town but worlds apart. This valley is home to many waterfalls, sulfur pools, rivers, and various trails, all within minutes' drive of the cottage. Cocoa Cottage is imaginative, earthy, rustic and whimsical, a fine gentle touch with rough edges. It is a perfect union of all that nature offers. Our kitchen provides food for the soul, using the plentiful offerings of our island. At any time you'll find yourself deep in lively conversation with someone you just met, connecting, sharing, inspiring and being inspired. We adopt eco- friendly daily practices as a way of connecting with ourselves, with one another, and with the world around us. ... more   less
