This little hotel is near lots of restaurants banks, the train station and the Expresó Bavaro station as wells. Approximately 3-4 blocks from the ocean. The hotel itself is ok. Colonial style lobby but a little dark during the day and at night time. The rooms are not bad but also not well kept, the beds are uncomfortable, the AC...

I made a last-minute change to this hotel and was very happy that I did. I have traveled to Santo Domingo many times and this was my first stay here. The place is very clean and the staff was very helpful. I think the price was extremely reasonable, especially with the hot breakfast buffet included. I will definitely stay here...

Hotel San Marco surprised me a lot. I booked only 1 night to stay over as I had to do diligences in the capital. When I went into I could see the magnificence of the property, very well cared and maintenance, the gorgeous pool area and garden... wow... it was like to be in a Spa. The room is simple...

The only downside here is the location which is about 2 to 3 km from the Zona Colonial. Everything else is perfect the rooms, the service, staff, the breakfast, the interior, the pool, the courtyard the decoration. So if you don't mind taking a taxi to the city center it is the perfect place for you to be. nice and...

You won't find luxury in this hotel. What you will find is a lovely smell of incense as you walk through the main door. Incredibly peaceful, the hotel has a lovely garden with a small swimming pool that welcomes you to hace a dip. Everything else is basic. The rooms are simple but clean, breakfast included in the price is...

Nice small hotel with a small pool, comfotable rooms and nice food at the restaurant. Located very close to all goverment offices and shopping malls, make this hotel a perfect option for a business trip. I arrived by driving my own car, however I noticed a bus station just a couple blocks away from it... My only two complaints were...

We booked this hotel through booking.com as they guaranteed best price. We choose the suite as we thought it would be big enough to acomodate 2 adults and a child but to our surprise it had a queen bed, not king. When i asked to show us a standart room it had larger bed than we had. There were no...

This is a mid-range hotel located in Santo Domingo. It is in walking distance to two train stations, UASD, McDonalds, Wendy's, A supermarket, and A great Restaurant called Adrian Tropical. The rooms are comfortable, not a lot of fluff, a bed, TV with cable and major US networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN). There is a typical caribbean breakfast of fresh...

We stayed in the San Marco our last night in the Dominican before heading home to Canada. It's a great little boutique hotel with fantastic ambience. Big rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfasts, charming personality and interesting decor. The restaurant/pool area is a welcome respite from the busyness of the surrounding city. The hotel is centrally located and only a few...

We planned a last minute trip to Santo Domingo in January and find this hidden gem right in the middle of the city, directly off the Malecon. The hotel is this gorgeous antique mansion renovated into a beautiful, comfortable hotel. The rooms are huge, the pool and patio are was absolutely beautiful. You are litereally in the middle of the...

“Not a room tip, but.... if you're looking for some evening fun that might bring any number of surprises check out the liquor store around the corner- Drinks2Go. A gathering place for locals where you might find a spontaneous street party getting underway. Use your traveler's common sense here! Also the best prices we found for Dominican Rum (and other liquor) and a very fun and helpful staff.”
