The service was the top highlight. We arrived late at our check-in, and Edward from the reception arranged our reservation for the restaurant on the first night. My wife has been suffering from food allergies, and the captain chef (Ruddy) from the Italian restaurant went over backward to serve her the dish she wanted and she felt safe having. During our stay, all bars served us a pleasant service. My biggest highlight goes for the Covid protocol at the buffet and the service of the personnel. Special shoutout to Darleny at the beach buffet and the main buffet as well, as she was provided the most attentive service we have had in a long time. The only con would be at the main pool, as many people gather at the corners where some inside-water cement chairs are located, combined with the factor that water might not flow as well on that area, you may find some debris. Overall, I would go back soon and will have it as definitely my first option for the Playa Dorada area.…
Emotions by Hodelpa gave my party of 6 world-class hospitality at a fair price. The staff exhibited professionalism, flexibility, attentiveness, and courtesy. The wifi was fast. Their covid measures were adequate and up to international standards. The rooms were clean and well-conditioned. However, the bath area was at the same level as bathroom so the bath water would spill out of bathroom and into the bedroom. I did not particularly like that while we were sitting at the beach, the independent mobile vendors (i.e. trinket sellers, masseuses, fresh coconuts sellers, hair braiders, etc.) would come up to us peddling their products or services every few minutes. But I understand they are just trying to make an honest living. They are very aggressive though. I loved their food waste controls. Kudos to this hotel's management for limiting the amount of food at the buffet, thereby cutting costs and throwing out less food at the same time. I would love to see this hotel do something like the Las Vegas casino hotels do with their food waste feeding it to livestock farmers, and thus decreasing food waste even more. Keep up the great work. P.S. Roberto and Jose, the waiters, always did an amazing job. I saw those guys work hard and provide outstanding service to me and my family, as well as to other guests.…
Has to be the most beautiful beach I've ever seen, and I grew up in Miami with many trips to the keys. The service was great, everyone made me smile and they salute you with a hand over their heart indicating everything they do is with love. I started each day with a little cafecito (y un pedacito de Flan) con Gissel Vasquez and Oriami Bonilla, que trataron muy bien. Then it's have a little breakfast. To burn off the calories, i would then take a bike tour led by the Ambassador of Emotions and Puerto Plata, don Jose Tineo de Animación. Can't forget Isaura Nunez from reception very friendly y me resuelve. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a good time!
On my visit to Emotions Hodelpa I stayed for 3 days and my room was cleaned only one day. Also, when I rebooked for my last night the manager got mad at me and told me that I needed to check with the hotel before I rebook! I booked through Hotel.com and I the manager that I had used hotels.com. He told me that he was mad because I needed to check with the hotel before I rebooked because the rate I was paying was was too low!!!! Wow! He said that the hotel was very busy and he only had a limited amount of rooms? What does that have to do with me? This sounded so crazy to me and he actually had a crazy attitude! There was many empty rooms due to the Coronavirus, so why was he lying to me the hotel being full? Most of the workers at the hotel were nice, but the manager and some of the staff acted like they hated their jobs! Never visiting this place again.…
