Even though it's not a five stars hotel, my boyfriend and I spent a good night there.

The lady receptionist was friendly, water was for free, and they offered coffee in the morning.

I really liked the decorations, bathroom was clean, the TV in the room works like a smart tv, and location was extremely convenient.

Only two details left me not satisfied:

1. Towels and bed sheets could be more clean.
2. Hair dryer didn't work.

Finally, they have various pets, but my boyfriend loved the cat. It was cute and friendly.

In reality this is a budget hotel that is fine for adventure like travelers. The rooms were acceptably comfortable bed were just OK. There were a number of older foreign men with younger native girls staying there. Everyone was courteous and no real complaints. Not a family place though, kids would ask too many questions.

The place is quite nice, has a closed parking and some common areas. It is quite clean. For the price, it is a very good Dominican standard. :) For some reason, we only had cold water though, maybe we forgot to find the miraculous dominican switch again... :)

We loved our 8 day stay. Eclectic, clean rooms. Coffee and lounging in the living spaces, and opportunity to meet other guess. If you are looking for luxury, bling type of stay go to a resort.(boring, costly, and no culture I am told) If you are looking to stay in a heritage hotel with charter, Hotel Kevin is your place. For 2 women with not alot of travel experience, this place was safe and central to restaurants, museums, shops and the beach. If you want to go to a nice beach go to playa Dorado, taxi 150 DOC , 3$US. Also this places uses solar panels, super smart, and enviro friendly. Good people working here, super safe. No worries. Puerto Plata gives you a taste of everything and is more economical. I'll be back 😉💜

We paid 900 for a room with a double bed (each paid 450 Pesos) with a fan. What a price! We didnt find anywhere in this City a cheaper Hotel. Its not only cheap, the room is nice, clean, everything you need is in there. And another good thing is that the hostel is really central. Its one minute to walk to the central Park and about 3 to the "Beach". And also its very safe. The hole night someone at the entrance is awake. Really nice!!!

I discovered this place by accident after arriving at Hotel Castilla and finding that it was closed for business. I paid about $30 USD (cash, they don't take credit cards) for a room with A/C and coffee and fruit in the morning. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

OK, it's probably the worst place where we have been at DR, but it's good enough for a couple of nights. I don't think it's dirty, I think it's run down. Rooms don't have hot water but they offer potable water to fill your bottles, they serve coffee and a small plate with fruits in the morning and There are two computers you can use for free. The worst feature is the karaoke at the bar downstairs. It was very noisy till 11 pm or later on Thursday and Friday. We paid 1000 RD$ for a room with fan and two beds.

When booking my stay I was in contact with the owner in regards to a hotel pickup in the middle of the night. Not only did he and another hotel employee pick me up at 2AM, they made sure I was well taken care of when I arrived to the hotel w/food,water. I felt comfortable throughout the entire 1.5 hour journey from the airport to the hotel. My room was always serviced, front desk staff always greeted me, and the owner, who is there often, always asked me if I am ok. He even guided another guest to take me down the street to find a nearby restaurant when I mentioned I was hungry.

Small hotel on peaceful place near the cathedral and fortress for really good price. They have parking place, big hall with sofa and tv and small but colorful rooms. It gives you basics what you need to sleep normally. Don't go in details, just enjoy in moment and then all will is perfect.
